Yes, and go to the Apple store and buy those iPods!

As we were driving to Tahoe, my DH and I thought our traveling would be a perfect commercial for Apple - there is our 9 year old, watching his Video IPOD, content as can be. And there is our 2 year old, screaming on top of his lungs because I can't seem to get my PC to play the DVD!

Ipods are the best for traveling - we are going to try to get a couple more for the long flight to Orlando. Costco have them now. Lisa

OK, here's what happened at the doctors...

Normally, I only see the nurse and she's sweet and they unwrap, measure, clean, take pics and rewrap in the layers with medicine over the open wounds. NOT yesterday....had a new nurse, pulled off the old gauze that was stuck...the nice nurse moistens it and then gently pulls and it comes off easily....then she did all the normal other things and waited for the dr. to come in. Well, he basically did the same thing to the wounds that he did in the operating room but I was awake in his office this time. WHAT excruciating pain as he scraped and picked and pulled and poked. He finished the left leg, the better of the two and moved to the right....shortly after he started I said I had enough...could we continue this another time because I couldn't take any more pain. I was hysterical crying. It felt like a razor digging into my legs....burning, stinging, sharp pains.

The dr. insulted me the entire time calling me a baby and did I think I was in labor the way I was acting....then when I asked to stop he took a two year old hissy fit tantrum and threw me out of his office.

I never got my legs wrapped properly and the wrap fell down by the time I got home, I have nothing on both legs right now coz they won't stay up.

Needless to say, I'm not happy and I will let this doctor know that I have patient rights and I won't allow him to treat me like this. What an idiot!:sad1: :sad2: :sad1:

Deb,

I am SO sorry that this happened to you:(

This shouldn't happen to anyone, let alone the sweetest person on the planet!!

I am just catching up from not being around for two days, but I hope that you were able to get some resolution and restitution for all of your pain and suffering!

TONS of  coming your way!!

Something to (hopefully) brighten your day will arrive tomorrow (Friday) via UPS.

XO,

Karen

Quoting me again...we decided we wanted to renew our vows on our 25th on the Magic or Dreams or one of them...wouldn't it be great if we could all do that cruise together with all of you and celebrate...it's only eight more years...I would love it!
:cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2:

Would love to be there.
What day is your anniversary?

And isn't it typical of you to move on to something brighter and happier?:hippie:

Of course, we'll be doing it the other way, but that was just amazing to me how many hours the whole thing will take. We have locks here...but in 30 min you are done and on your way! Ok, there I go avoiding work and dreaming of a cruise months away :confused3 Guess I better get back to paying bills :sad1:

Kaylee,

I have these navigators and we DID this!!

It actually was longer, we started later as we were delayed and we finished a bit later as well. The Gatun lake is actually a much longer, larger part than it shows in the Navigator.

Didn't matter as it was a very enjoyable day!!:thumbsup2

Apparently out here in WA...she can be a bit spacey and exhausted at times and she just forgets. I think she/me deserves the "bad mommy" award for that one!!!!!

Kaylee,

When Alex came down crying because the tooth fairy "forgot"; I quickly sent her up to "search" and I grabbed the $ and followed her up! I "found" the missing gift and she was appeased that it had fallen our of the toothfairy bag that we have. Whew!! Saved that Fox Paw...

Wow, I hate being in the bottom 10! I need to start posting! I just feel so bad since I never can catch up.

I did read a bit about school fundraisers. The one thing I like about our school is they do just two fundraisers -at the beginning when they simply ask for money. No magazines to sell, no gift wrap, just write a check. They encourage everyone to participate, even if it is just $25. Most give around $500-$1000, some give $25K. Guess they like to see their name up on top.

And then in the spring they have a nice auction - nice stuff. Great party, fun to see the competition. We got a good deal on swim lessons at 50% of the cost. Others payed $15,000 for "special" school parking when they drop off their kids. Crazy! I think I mentioned on here before, last year I think it was, when someone paid $100,000 for a dinner for 50. Now that is fundraising I like - none of my money, no trickets to sell, and my kids still get some good education!!
Lisa

Holey Moley!

ALL the money given to our entire district for the WHOLE year by ALL the PTO's is less than $100,000. We have 6,000 students in our district. Seven elementaries, two middle schools, and our High School has 2,000 students.

If every kid brought in $150 we would be in good shape!

And an occasional belt when the inlaws show up!:rotfl:

You're right, since they have been north all summer I forgot all about it!!

I have to sneak off to the kitchen and do shots of wine!:lmao: I'm sure you guys will hear about it in the coming winter months.

Friday!!

Wow, was I late today. I didn't get to work until 9:15! Yikes! The girls did not want to get up at all.

so tomorrow we head to Gainesville...the game is at 6pm so that is nice. We are staying overnight and then Sunday John's boss is having a going away party for one of our fantasy players.....we may stop in for a bit.

tonight I need to stay off the pc and get some cleaning and laundry done.
I really need a housekeeper.

Just been looking at new bathrooms. Babysitting tonight. John is at the chiropractor. Now those could all have been on separate posts.:rotfl:
