I think that's the car rental service we used the last time we took a Panama Canal cruise into Los Angeles- I recognize the East Ocean Blvd address. It worked out really well for us. It's just a 5-10 minute drive to the rental place, and the drive to Anaheim wasn't bad at all.

Ginamarie-did you take a cab over to the agency? For us I think renting a car to get home will be best option. It's too much of a hassle to ask our family to drive down to get us, plus then we can be on our own schedule in case we don't get off when expected, etc. Of course, we do have 9 months to plan this, you'd think it were next week!! Yes, we took a cab from the pier to the car rental place.

We used that car to drive to Anaheim, go to DL/CA, and then we drove to the airport in Ontario and dropped it off at the airport car rental agency.
It worked out really well. I wish we had enough time to do the same thing after this cruise, but we need to get back to NY and save our vacation days!

Glad it wasn't too busy here. I was too busy at work to check. Then after work (I get out at 12:30 on Fridays), a co-worker took me out to lunch! Then I had to run all over town, re-newed my car insurance, re-newed my license plate, had to go to Tyler's school to pay for the before & after school care he'll need a couple days a week, and did some other stuff too but can't remember what. I feel like I've been driving around all day! Would like a nap, but am headed out to play bingo with a different co-worker and her daughter. I haven't played bingo in months and am looking forward to it BIG TIME! So fun!

And yesterday I found out my water heater came in, so I contacted the installer and they can do it Tuesday. Hot water coming in just a few days! The good part about that is that I need to take the day off work because in the morning I would have to be late for work anyway because Tyler has a small orientation that morning for kindergarten (he missed the real one last night....no time to explain now), and by the time I got to work, I'd have to leave again in an hour to meet the plumber, so I'm just taking the day off, which gives me a 4 DAY WEEKEND!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!

I am booked for this cruise, my very first ever and I am going solo but I am so excited. I live in Western Canada and I see that there are other Canadians on this cruise. I would like to know how I can link my dining (2nd) with another solo dis'er, and when and I would like to know what excursions some of you have so I can join some of you. Also, what are the special get togethers that have been planned? I see the champagne girls that I would love to join.

You're welcome...but just wanted to make sure that you know the Donald Doulgas location is near the LB airport, which is much farther than the other location I posted about (15 miles vs 6). How are you going to get from the port to the rental office?

Well, that confuses me, because the man I spoke to confirmed the phone number you gave us was indeed the location that he booked me thru, but he said Douglas... so I might have to call back and confirm that it should be : East OCEAN BLVD. CORRECT???

Just watching some of the memorial service on TV that her sons wanted to organise so they could remember her in their way and not the way of the funeral service. Harry just said a lovely tribute.

I watched (just the other night) a movie based upon a interesting perspective of a reporter who's boyfriend was murdered because they were uncovering details that Diana was MURDERED and that it was not an accident. I don't know - however, if it was true... but the video from the tunnel "disappeared" and lots of other evidence...

Frustrating and depressing day.

Have a case that I have been working with for a little while. Thought we were making great strides. Obviously can't go into details, but had a major setback today. It makes me so sad . . . . . . . . maybe I get too emotionally involved.


Also found out this afternoon that I have to fly to San Antonio on Tuesday to testify. Forensic Psychology is the fun part of my profession. The above is the worst part.
