I'm just ducking in to drop a "drive by" posting...

... I noticed they still have cabins available in cat 10/8 and 6 for quads... and the price is not unreasonable... so I may be chattin' with my spouse about doing this one too. However, the odds are not so hot - we recently decided to pass on the MED sailings even though the 12 guarantee rates were tempting.... the air fares were somewhat high.

At any rate - as my banner states we're booked for the 15 nite east bound PC repo... so adding this would make for a fair number of nites on DCL in 2008! And I think that would be just FINE!

OK.. I'm gonna skim backwards to see whats going on here ... then I'm turning in on account of our plans for a morning run into DL for sunday. It's the last sunday open before our SoCal annual passes become blacked out for the busy summer weeks.

Cheers!

Hey Cap'n, just you and I up this late I think...

Can you check and see if they still have the Disney Dollars for the 3rd movie left at DL? I will try to order some if they do. We have the first 2, but were there just 2 days before the release of the third!

Thanks, and have a great time!

Karen

OK Karen...

Did you want any - and how much can I spend on them if you want me to pick it up for ya?

Deb, sounds like you all had a great time! Thanks for sharing pics with us! :goodvibes

Holly & Deb, sounds like you guys had great days.
It is so sad to hear of everyone enjoying the warm summer weather as we sit here in the PNW with spring still upon us. We will warm up one day to mid 70's and then drop to 60 and rainy the next day. I am ready for summer for sure!!!

We are heading to Vashon Island tomorrow. Jaide is going to sleep away camp for the first time this summer and it is the open house tomorrow. We get to go and tour the camp, meet the counselors and do activities. The camp is on the Puget Sound and it is supposed to be a very low tide so there will some great beachcombing to be done as well.

Monday is the last day of school for us, finally!!!
:sunny: Sending you wishes for warm & sunny weather! :beach:

What a great time Jaide has ahead of her!

Air fare is not too bad to FLA - I say you go for it! And since you are already doing the WB cruise, you just buy round-trip tickets arriving in FLA in May, and flying back in August! How's that for an idea?

This is a good group, just not as "chatty" as your EB friends . . .

Except me! :rotfl2: I always seem to have something to say about everything, but don't know much about anything. :lmao: :rotfl:

Hi Noel, how are you feeling? How is DSIL? Any good news?

When I read Kim's post I thought she meant did you get bumped up a Cat on the cruise. I could be wrong, but that's what I thought of.

I am feeling somewhat better and still waiting on results of EKG to schedule surgery.

My DD's husband is STILL waiting for approval from insurance to get his kidneys checked out!! His primary physician's medical assistant was on vacation last week so when my DD called his office, the forms had just been submitted on Friday. I hate the fact that they have to wait in suspense and worrying about what may be happening.

If that is what Kim meant, nothing new on any upgrades as TA told me any upgrade to cat. 1 or 2 would probably not come until final payments are due

We are heading to Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk today and then I came across this article about a roller coaster - http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/06/22/national/main2965711.shtml?source=mostpop_story

It does make you question those rides. :confused3 I know it is really unusual but it does get your nervous.

Beautiful day here in California! Sunny and warm. Maybe we will stick to the beach and not go on too many rides!
Lisa

Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk use to be the spring break haven for teens in the 1960's. About 10 of us girls would rent a room for spring break and hit the beach for a week. Brings back fond memories...

However, my GK's prefer the beaches in southern California to northern so we don't often go to the beaches with them. They much prefer going places like the Monterey Aquarium.

Thanks! Still trying to catch up...

I'm still a bit bummed we didn't do a balcony...I just called and they have Cat. 6s available but the problem is that I can't get two connecting. The other problem is that it would be about $8000 more!!

Yikes.

Best live without the balcony.

Lisa

I have a board meeting at the Pacific Hotel in Monterey July 13 so we will make a family trip of it. We will stay there for two nights and visit the Aquarium, walk along the shores. Much nicer there than Santa Cruz...but since we have that planned in a couple weeks we thought we'd go for some cotton candy and the sites of an amusement park. Either that or Great America and I'm not sure I'm up for that today.

Other option is maybe we will just go to Half Moon Bay and have a picnic on that beach. A lot closer, although no cotton candy!
Lisa

Cat 6s are gone now....Deb, good thing you grabbed it when you did! I'm sure the prices will continue to go higher so best to get it while you can. Lisa

Wines from Pennsylvania, eh?

I hope Deb is up to it, but I'm not really that "up" on PA wines, so let me know if anything looks any good.

Cheers!

Karen

Hi Karen, we bought a bottle of red and a bottle of white...Billy Joel song...there were many that we liked, but we liked these the most. Here's the details of each...

Sangiovese...12 month oak aged dry red...West Hanover Winery, Kline's Vineyard, Harrisburg, PA, $20

Solebury White...crisp and dry...Heritage Wine Cellars, North East, PA, www.heritagewine.biz ... $10

John tasted and liked more than I did since he likes a greater variety than I do. My taste is much more limited to extremely dry.
:cool2: :hippie: :cool2:

I actually let the wine shop be run by others last night (Friday) as DD was in a dance show (major "let go of control" for me!)

We didn't get home until after 11 as the show went till 9:30 and then we had a fantastic dinner at a place in Walnut Creek called WC Yacht Club.

Great evening, but tiring too.

Couldn't find helpers for tonight, so I missed a wedding that DD and DH went to of DH's Nephew. They had a nice time.

Karen

YEAHHHHHH FOR YOU!!! Sometimes it's good to go outside the box!pirate: :flower3: pirate:
