All caught up finally with the DIS board. Too much to comment on so I will just try to stay current.

We are staying at the Dolphin in December to collect points. If I were to stay in WDW hotel, I think I would choose the Poly although I do love the GF.

As for Owen Wilson, I think just because you are famous doesn't mean you can't have private time. I have flown many times with famous people. Some are nice, some are private and some are downright nasty. Just because you happen to be on a plane with them doesn't mean they don't have the same rights to privacy as any individual.

Samantha is all packed up, condo cleaned and she is on her way north. John and I spent the day with her yesterday before she drove to Los Angeles to spend the weekend with her friend who is doing an internship there. She is picking up another friend from USC and they will be driving home on Monday.'

Her ML320 was so full she had to buy a car carrier for the top!!

More later on the graduation saga when we get home and recover!!

:confused3 collecting points?:confused3

I think Noel means that the Dolphin belongs to a hotel group that gives points for stays, and she is collecting them - perhaps for some free nights!

Hope you are all having a good day. Mine has almost finished now. Got the fish tank set up and hopefully we will put some plants in tomorrow and the first batch of fish the day after. It looks good!

Been to the hairdressers so feel much better, particularly now the grey is covered - for now anyway!

CSI New York on now - yuk, lady sawn in half!!!:scared1:

C-LYNNE - where are you????? Come out and play with us!

Hi Jackie, you asked last weekend to see pics of the 50lb. puppy....here they are.....

Here she is with Tom....she looks more like a little dog now than a puppy.

Here's a face picture....she's starting to look like a shepherd.

I PM'd UKangel and she wants me to tell you all thank you for your well wishes and that she misses chatting with her Champagne Girls and that she'll be back with us as soon as she is able.

Get well soon angel.....hugs and love and pixie dust....

Hi Peg, YUP...she's only 4 mos. old, last month she only weighed 25lbs....she doubled her weight in one month....her mom was 130lbs. and she'll be at least that possibly more.

Your girls could ride on her...but it's hard to boss her around. she's still learning how to listen and behave....and all she wants to do is play, play, play...but she's a cutie and she should get fluffier as she grows.

I would ask the same question, only I wouldn't get there in time for dinner. How lucky for you Jackie....listening to Peg talk about all those recipes.:thumbsup2 :rotfl: :thumbsup2

Deb, what cute pics! I can't believe how quickly Angel grew! Holy cow!

Bad storm just came through, now the cable is flickering in and out, so I probably won't be able to get on here again tonight.

So, I've been reading not posting again this past week....more trials and tribulations with DGS Tom. He quit his job this week without any notice (and his boss is my neighbor). Then he "ran away from home" on friday after school. Fortunately, the police found him after about an hour....he took food with him, but stayed local in town. It gave us all quite a scare. Now what do you do with him?

Talking with DD Sandi, his mom, we said for her to back off a little. Talk to him at length, but don't yell. Don't add more grounding and let him have a little more freedom to get a taste of the real world. Let him get a real job, not working with a friend. Give him a good dose of reality, let him take care of himself.

16 is such a hard age because you're not a kid anymore, but you're not an adult....but you think you are and that's what you think you want.

We're taking one day at a time....today he stayed home. That's good.:wizard: :) :wizard:

Angel gets spayed next month...she should get even bigger!

We lost our electric three times last night with storms....guess we'll have some more coming our way too.

It's a good night to stay in and watch a movie or study. I bet Tyler hates stormy weather coz it keeps him indoors. Get out the popcorn and do a movie with him.
popcorn:: :woohoo: popcorn::

So DH John and I were talking over coffee this morning and we decided how many bags to pack and how much to take with us. We decided to only bring seven days worth of clothing for the three weeks and do some laundry.

We're doing a week away, cruise and world, in Oct 07 and decided to use that as our trial run....then we really got crazy and said, we won't unpack, we'll just bring it to the laundry and have them clean and fold and put back in the suitcase so we'll be ready for May 08. How insane is that!

We decided what our full itinerary after cruise will be...Sun off the boat, cab or car service to the hotel, rent a car there for the week. Stay local and check out the sights, maybe do the hotel pool. Monday, Memorial Day, go to the Santa Montica pier, it's not far from our hotel. Tuesday, DL both sides...do it day and night. Wednesday go for a drive to San Diego...do the aquarium. Thursday, do LA...gotta do the walk of fame and Universal back lot. Friday ride up to Santa Barbara and do a wine tasting (had to get that in there Karen). Saturday lay low, pack to leave, do pool, maybe drive around and see what the locals are doing. Sunday LAX to Newark, NJ. Cab ride to our car, which we'll leave in the parking deck on John's job....University of Medicine and Dentistry right next to Newark airport. Then drive home.

I was able to book our two nights in Cocoa Beach before cruise this weekend! YEAH finally!!!!! Next, I'll do car rental on this side because we're driving down to FL. We always do....it takes us 14 hours to get to Jacksonville...John has been known to do it in 12. We'll leave after rush hour on Wed. night and check into our hotel on Thursday afternoon. We'll be ready and rested to get to the Port at 9:00am on Sat.

Gotta wait a few more weeks to book the LA hotel, car and air....but soon, very soon.

OK, we're ready....can we leave now!!!!!

Well, Tyler's actually at his dad's tonight, so I'm going to work on my bedroom. I have to pull everything out and reorganize. I don't have a basement, so my bedroom has become a storage room, with a tiny path to my bed. :sad2: I can't stand that anymore, so I found a way that I want to move my furniture around in there that will clear up a wall, then I'll stash everything in huge storage totes and stack the totes against the wall that I'm clearing. And in the process, will sort out stuff to freecycle and stuff that can go in the attic and stuff to sell on ebay.

If I get that finished tonight, tomorrow morning I'll put up Tyler's wallpaper border in his room that I've been trying to find time to do since we moved here over a year ago. Bad mom, I know. Poor kid asks me all the time when I'm going to put his border up! But I've never done one before, so I'm hesitant. I've always rented until buying this house, so I'm trying to learn how to do all this stuff that comes up with a house. :headache:

I also have plans to set up Tyler's desk in his bedroom to be sort of a craft station. He currently uses a tiny plastic desk in the living room that he's quickly becoming too big for. His bed is a loft bed with a desk built in underneath, so we talked about transitioning to that one soon and getting rid of his tiny cheapo plastic one (which will clear up some space in the living room). So I got some cute blue plastic bins and a bunch of new craft supplies to fill them with, and will line those up on his desk for him, plus I got one of those over the door plastic shoe holder things with lots of pockets, and will fill each pocket with a different craft supply (glue sticks in one, markers in another, etc.). My hope is that he'll be so excited about all the stuff being in easy reach!

Sorry this was so long! Now, I'm off to move furniture! :goodvibes

Wow! Sounds like great plans! :thumbsup2

Storms are done, birds are chirping, I have TONS of weeds to pull, but it rained so hard -- everything will be too wet until tomorrow. Good thing I managed to finish mowing 5 minutes before the rains started! Temp dropped, so after having to run the air for a few days, I'm finally able to shut it off and open the windows again. Not supposed to get hot for a few days. Comfortable! :goodvibes

:cool1: I LOVE IT~~ Sounds super. :cheer2: A wall of plastic totes!! If it bugs you will you toss a nice decorative blanket over it like a taperstry to hide it? Did you plan to make some shelves to hold those totes or stack them on each other?
The craft center for Tyler sounds superb!! He is one lucky kiddo!

Holly, it sounds very ambitious, but so worthwhile....it's going to look great when it's all done....in your room and Tyler's.

It's a lot of work to own a house, but it's yours!

I want to get up....but the dog is sleeping on my left foot and the cat is sleeping on my right foot....where is the camera now????:goodvibes ;) :goodvibes
