Hi Lisa, I was wondering where you were.....we miss hearing from you!!!! Sounds like you have got a lot going on. We'll be here whenever you have time.

Nothing unusual going on....the usual chit chat and adding new people and some cancels.....I will let you know if anything comes up that you might want to be included in or know about.

When does your exchange student get here?

Looking forward to hearing all your stories about the med cruise. AuntyBrat had some good and some not so good experiences on her med crossing, you might want to read that post....it was back some 10-20 pages.

Vanessa arrives late Aug.....I have been busy at the HS with getting her all registered. Wooking on Orchestra now.......

Really looking forward to the MED....trying to read all the BLOGS and I have overwhelmed myself.....

We are hoping for calmer seas....still 7 weeks till we cruise.

Daniel graduates on June 18th. My nephew graduated on June 3rd (SC) and my niece June 5th (DEL) .... several funerals....

I am the parent for Beach weekend for my DS senior friends.....shoudl be interesting,

Ok, so then Dr. M comes in. They - he - thinks the perf is a residul effect from the tubes that just hasn't been noticed...(HELLO PED!) and he'll repair (plug it up) in two weeks. Then he starts the dig in other ear. OMG...he's making jokes, and I am freaking out. 3 seconds pass and he's got it...."MOM, can you come identify?" I had no idea? It looked like a large BB, yet darker in color and broken??!! WILD! She claims nothing has been shoved in her ear, whether she did it or not.....

yet all this time, the only indication was a fever??!!

Oh my gosh! How bizarre!

On a $250k house, our taxes are about $3,000 for the year. But our homeowner's insurance is really cheap compared to a FL rate . . . I think it is less than $300 a year!

On my $64,000 house my taxes are $1700/year and insurance is $700/year.

Lisa DisneyLover5, one VERY important thing came up while you were gone....Bobby Banana is touring the country. First he's going to the Outer Banks with John and Amy then he starts hitting the sights all around the country. So if you want to be a host and have him in your neighborhood and show him around....let John1 know.

Really, no kidding....the guy gets around ya know! We've seen pics of him everywhere!

Yup, late night for me because my vacation officially started today after work! One of my lawyers has been gone all week and the other one (the old guy) told me yesterday that he'd be gone tomorrow, so there's no need for me to be there. SO, no getting up early for me tomorrow! Will spend the day getting my haircut, finishing laundry so I can pack, clean the house really well (because I hate coming home from vacation to a mess), clean out my car so the suitcases will fit (Tyler has a bad habit of bringing lots of stuff in the car and forgetting to take it back in the house), yardwork, and homework for tomorrow's class.

About John and Amy moving.....um....my Magic 8-ball says "Reply hazy. Try again." (I think I'm getting sleepy again!)

Will do! But I'm hoping to use their computer so I can keep up on my ebay sales because a bunch will end Saturday night, so I'm hoping to also keep caught up here. It's become my bedtime ritual and I think I'd go through withdrawals without playing here for a bit!

Had a good exercise class this morning! Not much today but loads of abs!!! It was a lot of My legs ache from the leg work yesterday and now my abs are going to ache big time!!!

Met a friend for coffee and a big piece of lemon drizzle cake. No wonder the weight isn't coming off!!!

Booking Fresh and Olivias for our last few days in December. Now wondering whether to book the Segway tour as a surprise for John. If I ask him he will say "no it is too expensive"! I just know he would love it. Surely after downsizing to POP we can manage that.

Talking to myself I know but hey ho!

Trust me . . . those thoughts already in my mind. (I'm a lawyer - remember?) Amy was looking at the area online. A house of similar size to ours, on a lot half the size costs THREE times as much!

Ah well, might be a good experience just to learn about it if nothing else.

After all of the great pictures of your house and the land around it, the "closeness" of your neighbors in California will be quite a shock!

DL is close by, but WDW is a LONG and EXPENSIVE plane ride from there!!

Not a prison sentence, but I could not even begin to touch a house in a gated community on the coast.

California is a great place to live, you just have to be realistic about it. And it is expensive...of course, compared to Silicon Valley or San Francisco, we look positively affordable!!!

That's a fact!! SF Northern Cal Gal here!!

No state income tax in Texas either...but ya still have 100+ weather in the summer AND humidity.

I'm not really good with heat, but I am really TERRIBLE when I have to be in humidity!!

SF Bay Area girl. It's more humid in the winter than in the summer!

And I LOVE the coast up here!! Cool and Sunny and Foggy! It's all good!
