Might be of some help, but may not have good news. Unless your delivery was earmarked for Saturday delivery, don't expect for it to show.

You should be able to call FedEx and give them a zip code to zip code. They can then target your address. Most likely you will need to go down to the local hub and hope that the shipment is on hold there for Monday delivery. If so, most of the time they will allow you to pick it up.

If this doesn't happen and you have to go purchase all new items for your party, I would suggest leaving a note on your door Monday to refuse delivery of the original package. That is if you don't need the purchase any longer. This would facilitate your return alot quicker and you won't have to mess with the cost of shipping the package back to the vendor.

Just a few thoughts, hope it may help.
Thanks! :thumbsup2 They tried zip code to zip code and had nothing in the system, so I suspect it wasn't even shipped yet. :sad2: On their order form, it says to make sure to type a note saying the date of the event so that they can make sure the order is delivered on time. A fat lot of good that did me. But I was wondering about having to pay for sending the order back, since I won't need it anymore, so I really appreciate your suggestion about the note on my door. I'll definitely do that, in addition to contacting the store and telling them I'll be refusing the shipment and why.

I am home!!! Got in late last night, woke up this am to walk in the Relay for Life and now home, all unpacked and DIS'ing! DD2 got on the plane and fell asleep before take off, and slept the whole flight! (6:00 pm florida time - 1:00 am Florida time) woke up half way through the terminal, was a chatty cathy the whole way home and then slept until 7am! Guess 2 weeks at Disney exhausted her!

Here she is on the plane....she slept like this not matter how many times I tried to move her...the half stand-sleep! :lmao:

Awwwwww, so cute! I'm always amazed at how little kids can sleep in such bizarre positions! Too funny!

Holly,

So glad that you did something for yourself!!

My massage from Sunday morning seems "light years away" Every joint in my body aches from working on getting the shop ready for our Opening weekend.

We had a great Opening Friday and look forward to continued success this weekend!

Karen

Wow! Congrats to Gretchen! She must be thrilled! How proud you must be! :goodvibes Good luck to her for tomorrow too!

Nope, it wasn't birthday express. It was pinatas.com. Nothing arrived today. Needless to say, I'm not happy because I did spend most of the day driving all over to many stores trying to replicate what I ordered from them. Normally, I wouldn't do that, but since Tyler knew what we ordered and was looking forward to all the cool camo stuff we were supposed to get, I just couldn't let him down. I managed to get about 75% of almost the same stuff, told him what happened, and told him which items I wasn't able to find in any stores around town. He was a little bummed about not having the camo helmets & dog tags for all the kids, but he said, "That's OK mom, it's not your fault. Thanks for trying to find some". :thumbsup2 The pinata we ended up with is a Hummer instead of the camo Army tank we had ordered, and is a bit smaller, but should still be big enough for 9 kids to whack (I hope). I'll feel terrible if only 6 kids get to whack it and it breaks before the others have a swing!

BUT the important part is that we have the basics and the weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow, so a good time will be had by all! :yay: I just have to remember to charge up my video camera and put my dad in charge of that, put new batteries in my digital camera, and we'll be ready for fun! :goodvibes

As I've said before, Holly you are the BEST MOM EVER. After you explained everything to Tyler and hearing his response, he's not only the coolest dude, but he's also the BEST KID EVER. Most kids would not have reacted that way. He was so sweet and understanding and supportive. The two of you are an awesome family and you're so lucky to have each other. I can't wait to meet you and cruise together and I hope some day I will have the chance to sail with Tyler too.

Have an awesome party and share the pics please.
:yay:  :yay:

I promise, I won't forget (gosh, hope I didn't just jinx myself)....

Well, break time is over for me. I won't be decorating until tomorrow morning because Tyler wants to help (party isn't until 1:00, so plenty of time), but tonight I have to clean the kitchen again. The whole house was clean and ready to be decorated, but for some reason, when Tyler came home today, it seems a tornado followed him in. :scared1: I'm not quite sure how kids do that! And where did all this clutter come from?! And why are clothes and stuffed animals lying all over the kitchen floor? Since when do they belong in a kitchen anyway? I'm suddenly reminded of how I used to call him "Tyler the tornado" when he was 2! :rotfl2:

Lisa, you're so right!! We'll have to plan a big beach party for the East Coasters and see how many of us there are.
:dance3: :woohoo: :dance3:

Kaylee, love the pictures of the DVC at AK.

DH and I loved the picture of your DD sleeping on the airplane as if we did not know better looked just like youngest DD when she was the same age.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. We will be staying at the hotel so we can plan a meet prior to the dinner as mentioned earlier.

Board may be going down so I want to post this quickly.

Good afternoon - well in the UK anyway! I couldn't get on here this morning first thing as the board was down for upgrade!

Haven't finished reading the rest of the board yet so maybe someone else has answered this. Having live in San Diego for 15+ years I do know a little about the weather there. May and early June have a lot of early morning fog and haze which on most days burns off around noon or so. This is mostly a coastal thing and the further inland you go the less you have to deal with it. San Diego is really a beautiful place even without the sun shine 24/7 and I would recommend it over any place else you have mentioned. (NO, I am not on a retainer for the city of San Diego!:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: )

We are headed for San Diego on the 19th of June so most of the morning gloom should be gone by then but will give you an update on what we find. With all this global warming the AM fog should be burning off much earlier in the day.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Doug

I think that is what we are going to do after all Doug!! It will be less driving and I know San Diego will be just the sort of destination we like. I think we will be ready for lots of walking after 15 days onboard!!! We will save SF till our big trip in 2009 as we really wanted to visit again.
