I heard on the news this morning that American Idol and Dancing w/the Stars are taped on the same sound stage so Sanjaya and Bill Ray Cirus have become best buds (imagine that!) and Bill Ray has asked Sanjaya to be on Hannah Montana. I'm sure he'll be a hit there...that's his target audience. He's also getting all sorts of acting offers.......so there ya go!

A young ventriloquist is touring the clubs and one night he's doing a show in a small town in Arkansas. With his dummy on his knee, he starts going through his usual dumb blonde jokes when a blonde in the 4th row stands on her chair and starts shouting: "I've heard enough of your stupid blonde jokes. What makes you think you can stereotype women that way? What does the color of a person's hair have to do with her worth as a human being? It's guys like you who keep women like me from being respected at work and in the community and from reaching our full potential as a person. Because you and your kind continue to perpetuate discrimination against not only blondes, but women in general, and all in the name of humor!" The embarrassed ventriloquist begins to apologize, and the blonde yells, "You stay out of this, mister! I'm talking to that little sh** on your knee."

Hmm, is Hannah Montana needing ratings help? I read (people?) that Brooke Shields is guest starring some time this month as Hannah's dead mother. It was said it will be a flashback episode and expect tears. Billy Ray cracks me up on Dancing though...he really doesn't have good movements for a singer. Only caught the show this week though, so maybe it was just a bad week for him

Marilyn, you've been doing such a great job with your hooping, before you know it, none of your clothes will fit! I was doing so well with my workouts too, until I got sick, but plan on starting back up again tomorrow. I was going to go to the gym today after work, but wound up sick all night (was up from 11pm until 6am), I'm assuming from something I ate. So I didn't go to work since I had been up all night and although I wasn't sick anymore, was physically exhausted. They sure can't grumble at me too much since I did work all last week when I was sick. Slept until 1pm today, so I obviously made the right decision by staying home. Feel pretty good now, just not ready to eat yet.

I'm sure glad all this is happening to me while I'm off school.

Well, it looks very good for us to get an exchange student. Her name is Vanessa and here is her picture. I was trying to tell my girls what her accent sounds like. They can't believe that if she looks "normal" why she doesn't talk "normal".

I was reading al the details and she will not get a high school diploma from Westfield (our HS).....so I guess it does not matter how much school she will miss. Maybe I can bring her with me on this cruise......that will have to wait and see.

Classes start May 7th. I was turned down for every type of loan, every place I tried, and had just resigned myself to the fact that my only option would be to take another semester off, work more, cancel the November cruise with Tyler, and save money to be able to return to school. Then something strange happened. I received a letter in the mail a few days ago from the lender where my Federal student loans come from, telling me that my loan has been processed and will be disbursed 4/26/07 and 9/6/07. HUH?! I was very confused, but decided I should trust that letter because they make the decision, since they're the ones giving me the money, not the school. But I was still hesitant to get my hopes up. Then 2 days later, I received a letter from school telling me basically the same thing, and the info is also showing up on my account online at school. I have no idea what happened. I'm ticked off about the stress school put me through, worrying about how to come up with that much money, etc., but my relief definitely outweighs my irritation. I've heard other students talk about how they've also had similar experiences where it seems different people at school will give different answers and nobody really seems to know what's going on.

But for whatever reason, it worked out!

I am, but still very hesitant. The people at school were just so adamant that I would NOT be able to receive Federal student loans because of taking this semester off, so I'm just afraid to be too excited until I actually see the $$ in my account. I'm tentatively hopeful, but will be ecstatic on 4/26 (disbursement day) if it really happens! Well, that's the day the loan company releases funds to school, and it's usually a day or 2 later that the leftover funds (for books and other stuff) show up in my bank account.....so 4/28 is probably when I'll find out for sure if it really happened.

Holly - you're school sounds a little off - taking a semster off means nothing for loans...going half time/full time or dropping in the current semester does.

Well, I did drop during the semester--- a week and a 1/2 into the semester. So that could be what the problem is. But again, had they told me that when I asked about the procedure and about what would happen when I returned the next semester, I never would have. But it seems everything worked out, so it's all in the past.

When I sign on to see my DD's loan, I can see what she borrowed on Sallie Mae and the disbursement dates, can't you? I can also see the information on the school website

it's unreal for us, we have AP's and it works out to 143 per day! (at a value...)
