I just found some really cool Disney pages to print out, they are to help practice writing your alphabet! They also have some trivia as well as lots of kids activites for Epcot...such as naming the flags, finding the countries capital as well as adult Disney trivia....they are on the mouseforless.com.

ok, which one of you retired teacher types is going to modify the homework pages for my 2nd and 5th grade children for the cruise next year? I could use some cursive writing review for the older one and prep for the young one...come on I know you're out there...just nibble nibble nibble BITE! Gottcha!

I also have to reach the girl scouts in the group as I have a special favor to ask of you during our cruise...it involves bridging. Could you pm me if you or your daughters are scouts?

Happy Friday Everyone! We finally got some sunshine here, it's the first day in over a week. We're doing our first official barbeque this weekend with Sandi, Joe, Tom and Kris...DD, DSIL, DGS, DGS....Oh, I think Tom and Kris have dates....can you imagine that, dates, they're only 14 and 15 years old. It's another new stage. So I guess it'll just be a barbeque with Sandi and Joe and then some card and dice games....yes, Karen, there will be wine!!! We have a bottle of the Sbragia Chardonnay chilling now and then I would like to try the Selby Syrah with dinner.

Have a happy weekend everyone, hopefully the sun will stay a while and bring some warmth for a change.
:goodvibes

Yes! I feel like today is the first day of spring. I cut the grass tonight - in SHORTS! It was 70 degrees! Played outside with the dog too. I am hoping that winter is FINALLY over.

Cheri is our resident teacher....she's retired as I recall...........

Well my dear sister made it to the ship - she was STUNNED at the amount of food.....I can't comment as RC is one I have never been on but assume they have the same type of spread as most ships.

But are they on the RIGHT ship?

I'm here....DH and I on the couch watching Babel...it is very strange, not what I expected. Anyone seen it?

Whoops! Wondered why the pig movie was odd . . . :rotfl2:

Never seen Babel.

I am watching 1,000 places to see before you die.

We Tivo Deadliest Catch. We love to watch it together!!! We just finished the episode that was new on Tuesday. Isn't that odd? Now DD and DH are watching Dirtiest Jobs. I think we are a Discovery Channel Family. It is no T.V. week next week at school and Savannah got this horrible look on her face. No Deadlist Catch? It's our little family show.. I think she may be ok for a couple of days, but probably not the whole week.

We haven't watched deadliest catch - have to try that one. We watched the latest Mythbusters tonight.

We have also been pretty amazed at Planet Earth on Discovery HD. Now that is Sophia and I - Amy can watch some of it, but not too much. She has been glued to the news this week.

Our TV should have maybe three channels - Disney, Discovery, and whatever channel the Indians or Browns are on.

BTW V, Tribe beat the D-Rays tonight. Do you and John2 ever go to any of those games? I need to get to bed, but I had some coffee ice cream!

It's like a carbon copy of our house! DD knows 2 channels Discovery and Disney. The rest are just annoying.... Just ask her!

Ice Cream here too, a little pity party for myself. I have 3 hours at the Ice Center tommorow followed by 2 hours at my 5 year old nieces birthday party. All very important, but I had the need to be a little selfish. Of course now I am regretting it as I will have to run an extra 45 minutes this weekend to get it off my behind...

You know that Subway commercial where the guys asks for a huge gut etc... and the wife says I'll have the same thing only can I have the thunder thighs and the bedonkidonk butt? (sp?) I LOVE THAT COMMERCIAL. Now when ever I pull out the butter pecan I say, ok, I'll have the bedonkidonk butt and if I don't care, I eat it.

I love Deadliest Catch. I think the no T.V. thing is a national thing next week.
We will see how it goes next week. I know we won't make it all week because mom has shows she has to see.:rotfl: Last year I remember Nickelodeon put on their channel for one day go out and play and they had no shows on which was kind of neat.

I am SICK...Ryan came home today with a note that two parents of a classmate tragically died today. And now my neighbor informed me that they were getting a divorce (which I knew) and he shot his wife and then himself...IN FRONT OF THE KIDS!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot understand this. I'm sick, just sick. These poor kids...is Monday not enough?! We live in an affluent area, not that these things have monetary boundries, but I guess I just didn't expect to hear something like this in our suburb.

Lisa,

I am so sorry! It is always so unfathomable that something like this can happen, let alone close to home. It is also so hard to understand how people can be so selfish and self-involved that they don't put their kids first!

:grouphug: to you.

Deb,

Had a busy evening last night and day today, so I am just catching up!

14 and 15 and dates? Oh my!!!

Seems too young for me...

I want a full report on the wine, of course!

Have a great evening (you probably did already as it is 10 pm here!

Just popping for a quick Hello....DH got home last night and we have a crazy weekend planned with birthday parties (SIL, FIL and Mom) and meetings for my practice....I'm ready for Monday already:lmao:

I haven't really been home enough, but I got about 50 emails from Ebay today. Someone hacked my account and started selling golf clubs under my name. I thought it was quite strange why they would hack me to sell something, but apparently my CC was charged all the fees for selling:scared1: Ebay caught it before I did and removed everything and credited my account. Now, I get to check all my credit card companies and bank stuff tomorrow to make sure nothing else was hacked. So annoying.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am off to the Apple store tomorrow (I know John, Cherie & PJ will be proud). My mom got her Ipod for her birthday from my dad and I am taking her to the Ipod class so she can actually use it. She got the 80MB video one....I already want to borrow it. I just have my little shuffle, but it works great for the gym which is where I use it most. And then the Melting Pot for her birthday dinner....I love fondue!

Holly...hope you had fun! I love Larry....mostly because my good friend's DH is the spitting image of him...personality and looks. Cracks us up all the time. We call him Larry even though his name is Geoff. I also have a friend who really like Larry and is an auto mechanic. When he first made up his business cards he wrote on the bottom...GET HER DONE! instead of GET 'ER Done! I laughed forever over that one.

I love him have fun.

Git R Done!! Love Larry! :lmao:

:yay:
Hi Holly, I turned the news off today...first time all week. The sun is shining, the weather is warm....I was down and addicted to the news reports all week and just felt like today I should turn it off and go outside. Me and Angel took a walk around the property.:flower3:

So I didn't hear about the NASA gunman. I think I've had enough for one week. Yes our world is going insane, I quite agree.:upsidedow

Have the BEST TIME ever going to see Larry the Cable Guy with the girls. Awesome seats...I wonder if he's going to pick you out of the audience and say something about you??? Could be really fun.

How is your infection...be careful if you do yard work this weekend, don't let any dirt get in it...now I sound like your mother....sorry! Just concerned!

YEA it's the weekend....hope everyone has a great one, we all could sure use it!:goodvibes
We had the best time at the show! We all laughed so hard, our stomach muscles were sore by the end of the show! I haven't laughed that hard in longer than I can remember, so I really needed it! :goodvibes Although our seats were in row 1, there were also rows of seats on the floor in front of us, so it wasn't right up front like I had expected.....but still GREAT! :thumbsup2

Regarding my infected finger, it's so painful that I scream every time I bump it. The doc told me it's an ingrown fingernail, but I don't think that's right because the infection started the day after I ripped off a hangnail (which I will NEVER do again.....lesson learned). Anyway, he prescribed strong antibiotics (500 mg, 4 times a day) and told me it will clear up. And I have a re-check a week from Monday. Not sure how successful yardwork attempts would be with how badly it hurts to do anything with that hand right now. Can't even type with that finger. Yardwork might just have to wait until next weekend. No big deal.

One person in my neighborhood mowed too. That's a sure sign of spring! :goodvibes
