We're backkkkkk.
Had a good time. Stories to come with pictures of course.
Thanks for the compliments on the pirate pic. I do love it, even after this last weekend past I see it was good enough to print and hang up in the house.
Now here's my quote o rama fest....
thanks for the links, I had to quote them so I could find this in the morning when I can snoop the links and read when I have a bit more energy and time.
hmmmmm airforce one, yeah that's the ticket, we have a friend that worked at TRW as a photogragher and we always teased him about those trips to AZ, something about a spy plane I'm sure....
I flew little planes (Cessna 150s) in high school and college, kinda gave up my passion for flying when I grew up...I miss it, but too afraid of stuff like that now days.
yup, I got his card, might just have to have an over the top birthday bash for a certain son of mine next year.....
hhmmmmm, haven't heard of this fact.

Received quite a few PM's asking . . . . so here a few of my favorites of my father and his flights.

The last three on the right are Neil Armstrong, Milt Thompson, and my Dad.

Below is a speech he made at the Smithsonian and is really technical, but can be interesting.

As soon as I saw the picture I knew "Captain Jack Spareribs" aka Ace of Harbor Bay and the Tales of the Seven Seas crew (they're available for party and corporate functions). You'll also see them in the San Jose Christmas Parade aboard their pirate ship "LandShark".![]()
It's a small world, afterall.

I have found 2 interesting facts whilst I have been browsing.
We can already book Disney transfers from the port to DL at the end of our cruise.
If you have left over WDW tickets you can use them at DL!!!
hhmmmmm, haven't heard of this fact.
Here is the thread.

thanks for the link, I'll check this out tomorrow as well. I would hope too that there is a Disney link to back this up???
I just came back from the mall and had to visit the Disney Store. The lady there told me a story about someone trying to use their leftover WDW passes at DLR and being turned down.
I know I have read before, in a million places, that DLR has awful CMs compared to WDW and DCL. I'm sure this is another case of another an improperbly trained CM at DLR.
I suspect that if someone has a problem, they should ask to speak to a supervisor CM at DLR.
I have to say we haven't had a bad time with CMs at DLR vs WDW. We have had great experiences in both places and bad in both places. I think this board tends to have more people that frequent WDW and therefore those stories get more told. IMHO
I love this STORY!!!! I can remember my first horsey encounters (I had non-horse parents). Horses can be a great out-let for a young girl (an old one too!) and they can teach her so many things about herself - as she grows older. Kept me from a lot of high school "trouble" as well!
I grew up in NW Indiana, and I can tell you having horses gave me a perspective on life that I am blessed to have. It taught me about money (those of us who didn't have any) could still beat the pants off the kids who did - through hard work and dedication. (good lessons). Also about showmanship, (that you don't always win - and to be a good sport) and about fairness (not all judges are fair and not every competition is).
Although its expensive - it doesn't have to be. I worked very hard babysitting, and mowing lawns at 12 to help pay for my horse. (Another good lesson).
At 48 I still get the joy from seeing others faces light up on their first ride, or the first time they and the horse communicate and have synergy! Tell your lovely DD - that if you guys ever come out West, She has an open invitation to ride in the desert!
got another horsey girl here in San Jose. Miss Molly is taking this year off lessons, but I suspect she'll be back in the saddle next fall. I love her stable rules...you must tack, groom and muck the stall of the horse you ride, each time you ride. She has learned that having a horse is a TON of work. She loves to ride, but we don't hear her asking to have a horse of her own anymore. I'm sure she would love to meet your horse if we ever venture your way.
Maybe some horsey people will plan a horsey excursion during the cruise??? I don't ride (too sore from the last time, 15 years ago) but I'd love to have Molly enjoy a ride on vaca.
I'm being hopeful that we'll be flying on Friday during that day (as opposed to the red eye) and I made my ressie at the Hyatt MCO using the Autoclub rate. It was $159 which was a decent savings I thought. I'm thinking you all should book early if you have autoclub and want the rate because they usually only reserve a certain number of rooms for that rate....![]()
thanks I'll try this one tomorrow![]()
It's good to be home,
nite nite!
p.s. braty, I'm reading about the trip before I good to bed....I hope it wasn't bad enough to not cruise again![]()
