OK, I give up. Can someone explain to me what a "basket keeper" is?

I can help. At the DISmeet Bubba and several of us started talking about Shirley Nelson and the dude who received a basket not meant for him, knew that and kept it anyway. The guy kinda blamed it on his kids saying they ripped it open, etc, so Bubba's noting that Karin's DS is not the type of kid who would do that..........

I had all kinds of ideas, but must admit that was not one of them. I thought it was some type of obscure West Coast Urban Slang.

When we lived in Sarasota, I was the public relations director for the Asolo Theater. We were always trying to pry open the wallets of some of those wealthy folks. :rotfl: Some were very gracious and generous and others flaunted the fact that they were donors, and were extremely obnoxious. Rarely were the patrons as obnoxious as some of the actors, however. :rolleyes1

wow - when did you live here?

Here are a few pictures from last night that haven't been posted:

Do we really seem that weird here In California???

Don't answer that!!!

Yesterday on the way to save the bunnies we drove by some of the Bay To Breakers runners....of course my co-leader says as we drive by one "look girls there is a naked man!" and of course there he was, with Fishnet stocking
and a Santa Hat. (I only saw the back end view)

Here are a few of the girls and their good deeds in process...

Did you make your name tags yourself? I seem to be focused on this one!

Ours are from WDW - here's a picture of them up close - (sorry not the best)

We too get asked direction, and in the shops people always ask me if there are any more of something available. CMs always ask about them since they have Pooh on them and I guess they were never available at DL that way. You can get them just past the train station as you enter the park to the right. They usually have new one's each year for the current promotion. I did see 2007 ones in the Pooh shop in Critter Country as well.

Ummmmm . . . Nanette, am I missing something, or did you just answer that question for me?

Sometimes I wonder if we are just bumpkins out here in the Midwest and Northeast.

Good morning everyone! So glad that we made it past "hump day"!
Of course, the temperatures dropped 20 degrees overnight.. ouch! We're back in sweaters todya.

We came on Saturday for the Fire Island wedding of DS#1 who got engaged to DG (Darling Girl) on the WONDER in September. We were COLD Friday night. Saturday was warmer and Sunday--when we would be leaving for Indy--was short sleeved weather.

BUT

the :bride: wore her strapless gown with lace and train on the beach, and was barefoot for the wedding. DS#1 :groom: wore sandals with his tuxedo. DS#2 got really dressed up to be Best Man--Slacks, button down shirt with a TIE, and a sports jacket with his SANDALS and SUN GLASSES.

Everyone looked great. The drizzle stopped for the duration. There were a FEW patches of blue sky showing. The reception was grand. The bride and groom had decorated the cake made by DG's mother. We are so blessed to have her in our family now.

But, sure wish the weather of Sunday had been there Saturday.

Sunday afternoon we flew Delta out of JFK and were stalled at luggage check (terminal 2) for a LONG time--we no idea what caused the delay--and wonder if some dignitary flew in and they were trying to keep the airport hallways empty because we saw a police cavalcade depart and then the lines began to move.

Jan :earsgirl:

Hey Holly, the Cavs are playing the Pistons. Are you watching? :rotfl2:

Don't worry, John....I found that quite funny too! I read that and thought, "Yup, California sure does sound weird!" No naked men with fishnets & Santa hats running the streets around here! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Well, I'm off to do some homework.....got a bit behind over the weekend. Will do as much work as I can before falling asleep. Need at least a few hours of sleep because work will be stressful again tomorrow, as it was today (and last Wed, Thurs, & Fri). We're down to 2 (instead of 4) secretaries for 8 attorneys, and I only work until 2:30, so it's even worse for the other secretary. :sad2:

Goodnight all!

Umm....yeah, you bet! Pistons just scored a touchdown, right?! WOOHOO! Homerun! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Yeah, that's right.

12.2 seconds. Cavs with the ball, down by 2. Miss the shot. Lose the game.

Rats.

Too funny!:lmao: People half way across the country are wondering what my term "basket keeper" means! Who woulda thunk!:rotfl2:
