Ohhhh I forgot to tell all you champagne girls, when I was flying to Chicago on Thursday, Delta made this big announcement on the plane that they were out of bankrupcy and were listed on the stock exchange today. They even rang the bell at harsfield. Anyway, because of that, they were giving FREE CHAMPAGNE to the whole flight. They just walked down the isles with it and then refreshed the whole flight. I bet there were more than a few tipsy travelers Thursday!

Cool!

$9,000 for 2!!! This will really help my cause with my DH....see what this would have cost us if I had been one of those "normal" planners?????

I have a new thought on this whole STAR testing. They are taking it this week and before I never paid any attention to it. It seems to me that going on vacation during STAR testing is actually ideal! My son has no homework and they aren't teaching him anything new. :cool1: The way I look at it, this can actually be a blessing. Now if I can just get the school to see if from my point of view.:lmao:
Lisa

Lisa,

Our thoughts exactly! That's why we're here in Disneyland!!!

Karen

Have a wonderful trip. wish we could be there too.

I inagine you have been very busy with the shop move. Are you moving completely from the old premises?

Marilyn,

Finally catching up and it's Friday night here in SoCal!!

Yes, brand new spot, 5 blocks from our old place. Brand new, 4 times the size and in a wonderful location!!

More catching up to do, your post was just Tuesday night!:scared1:

Karen

I hope you are resting now Marilyn in dreamland. Sorry to hear of the terrible news of Maddy.

I worry so much about my kiddos that I couldn't ever leave them and have a meal out like they did. While on vacation last summer in Europe Paul would go out and grab food to bring back for me while I sat with the kiddos in the hotel sick with chicken pox. I'm the mom that makes her kids stick together in the DCL club to "stay safe". I think this just made me realize that even if Molly is old enough to check in and out of the club during our cruise I'll be hard pressed to put that pressure on her and me. Worry does not sit well on vacation, does it?

Holly get back to your studies....

Wilson came home from school with a flu bug. He's been on the couch throwing up since 3pm. Poor guy, when ever he gets a bug he has such a hard time of it. :sad2: :sad1:

Had that flu a few weeks back, hope Wilson feels better soon.

We were at a winemaker dinner tonight and left the 12 year old DD on her own for the first time. She hung out in the room and then went to Cal Adventure for the Electric Light Parade. She did fine, but I was a wreck worrying about her.

I know, I know... grow up mom!

Karen

I am almost caught up, but the DIS is about to go down!

We are having a GREAT time in DL! I will try to post some picture soon!

Lot's of great food and wine experiences and the weather is perfect!

More later!

I just don't think we could survive the summers in Florida. Amy cannot stand extreme heat. Of course we could look at that Million dollar house on V's street . . . I hear it comes with all the pineapples you may want.

It's funny - the one across the street for sale has changed realtors about 4 times now...they dropped a little bit but nothing. I am sure having the Clampetts across the street doesn't help them. But the house they are building --- wow - it's nice, I am so jealous....they are my age, how do they afford it? We are barely making it with all the insurance increases.....:confused3 I guess I need to start playing the lotto!

All this talk of college - my mom just graduated from Indiana State, she was doing it online. She is a director of HR and been in the business so long that she never finished school....she kind of blew off college when she was younger but in her business she has done well but trying to change jobs, most won't look at you without a degree. She is now interviewing for a vp or dir level here in Sarasota which is an organic food distributor...it would be great if she moved back down as we have no babysitter what so ever! And I know she loves being with the girls.

More college --- when Samantha was born I purchased the Florida Prepaid plan for 4 yrs University --- there are three options, pay in full up front, 5 yr monthly installments or monthly installments until they go to college...we did the 5 years and just now paid it off!! It feels like a huge weight is lifted off! I know there are many pros and cons but we felt good about it and are not planning on telling her it's there, she still needs to work and get good grades. I won't start Haley's until next year when Samantha goes to K and I actually get paid to work (daycare will drop by half). John and I know the struggles of working through college and coming out with large loans, I want to help the girls as much as I can and by the time they go to college who knows what our financial picture could be...it seems everytime one of us gets a raise something else goes up drastically and negates it.

Ok, Saturday is here and tomorrow we leave!! Yeah - I have lots to do but hopefully I can get it all done by noon so I can relax the rest of the day!

Oh and the outlawz left for Ohio yesterday......they didn't see the girls a handful of times in the 6 months they were here.

Can you guys believe the Magic is leaving for the Med today? We were originally booked and looking at airfare coming back I was scared by the prices and canceled.

How funny, I wanted to BE the bionic woman...and now look at her!!! Enough to make you want to go to sleep!!!
I wanted to be Wonder Woman.....and was very proud of my Wonder Woman underoos! :rotfl2:

well, I am greedy...we've done just about every character meal.....I just called - no CRT or Akershus....!

We do have:
Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Jiko
Hollywood and Vine bfast
Coral Reef
Le Cellier
50's PT
Ohana
Kona Cafe

so no one will be going hungry!!

Oh some of my favorites on there!

Here's something cool....I won an MVP award at work this week and one of the prizes is dinner for two. When my department head asked me which restaurant I would like a gift certificate from I jokingly said "Napa Rose at Disneyland". So, guess what...I'm getting a Disney gift card to bring with me next week! :cool1: So I'll be using that to probably cover three dinners for me on the trip (I think it's $100, maybe $150).

You kids sure were chatty last night!

I am sure all of you have seen this, but I was just :surfweb: a bit while everyone else is asleep and noticed someone has already started a live TR from the repo cruise!

You guys sure were very chatty last night. I was out enjoying a very good dinner at Chefs in France. Our waiter was great, the food was good, the wine was great but it was so loud and noisy in there....not the French bistro effect for sure.

We then proceeded to try and "drink" our way around the world :lmao: Lots of places were closing up, but we did sample some nice wines and ended the night at the pub in England with a black and tan.

The kids stayed home with the greatest babysitter....she gave them tons of toys and treats...brought movies, made popcorn. They all said she was great. She was an older woman and looked like she wouldn't let them get away with much, which was ok with me! I ended up using Fairy Godmother's. They are so much cheaper than the disney or Kids Nite Out but just as good.

We are off to BB today and then to MK to see spectromagic and Wishes. Our friends leave tomorrow. No great pics to share from today. MK was too crowded to enjoy anything :sad2: I think there were at least 25 schools there on field trips.:scared1:

Have a great weekend everyone. Not sure when I will check back on line.

We did the same thing, V. Airfare was looking like more than the cruise and that was flying out of countries other than Spain, which meant more flights/trains/costs to get around. Just became to stressful for me, so we canceled and booked this one. :woohoo:

CONGRATS! That's just awesome! :woohoo:

I wish! :lmao: We did go out to the MH and play Skip-bo when we got home from work yesterday. We had popcorn and candy for dinner while we played. :rolleyes1
Your dinner sounds similar to my gigantic chocolate covered strawberry I had last night! Yup, it was my dinner! :rotfl2:

Love those kind of dinners!!!:lmao: Hard to eat that way when the kids are around though...one time we were coming home from a long road trip and drove by a Krispy Kreme with the HOT sign on! DH looked at the girls and asked if they wanted donuts for dinner?! Of course they said yes and we had a blast (chocolate milk was the protein:lmao: ). They still talk about that night.

My dinner last night......escargot, french onion soup (both excellent) and flounder (pretty dry and blah) oh and mickey head cheese crackers for dessert!
