Good Morning Everyone...it's officially 365 more days today....Lisa, could you do us the honors and put up our balloon countdown....:yay:  :yay: :yay:

And starting tomorrow, it's minus one year.
:cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2:

Well, we're back home now. Had a wonderful day on Monday meeting Donna and her husband Charlie for drinks. Donna is our real estate agent and now a good friend. I have a few more pics to share.

What a beautiful place, Deb! I hope someday to visit that part of the country. I will be quite a sight for the eyes of this desert rat!

And I hope to revisit the desert again someday...been there once and it was so inconceivably different from the coastal areas that I'm used to, but so beautiful in it's own way.:wizard: :cutie: :wizard:

John and I have DCL friends that were our tablemates on our first cruise in 2001. We kept in touch and cruised with them again in 2006. They lived in San Diego and have just retired to Tucson. John and I plan on visiting them, so I will get to see the desert again.
:cool2: :flower3: :cool2:

We stayed in Tucson for 10 days a few years ago and fell in love with the place! We haven't been back to that area since but it is in our plans for 2008 - perhaps a villa for a week's crash out during our 6 week trip! Trouble was and will be the temperatures going in June both times. They stop you visiting some of the outdoor places, though we managed the Desert Museum which we loved and the Airforce museum. Boy was it hot!!! There are still places we want to visit plus downtown, which we stayed away from because of the heat. I love the area because the heat is a dry heat and more comfortable than high humidity. The surrounding scenery is fantastic too.

Don't go outside, the dog could be a stray or something terrible could have happened. I would call the police and let them investigate. :sad2: :scared: :sad2:
I could tell it was in somebody's back yard, just not which one. After listening to it until 2am, I finally narrowed it down to 1 of 2 back yards on the street behind me and down the road a bit. I thought of calling the police to see if they'd bang on the door and make the people bring their dog inside, or do something, but since I didn't know which house it was, I didn't know if the police would be willing to take the time to stand outside on the street and listen to try to figure it out. :confused3 I'm not sure how long it barked because I did put my big earmuff things on so I could fall asleep. Too freaking tired today to think straight after that ordeal. :headache: If it happens again tonight, I won't hesitate to call the police and see what they can do.

Good thing you have it recorded....there's a part you'll want to go back and watch in slow motion, if you can! I'll probably watch it again on my lunch hour tomorrow from the abc web site!

Bedtime for me..........
I'll probably watch it again online too, after tomorrow's class. I promise not to say anything to give it away, but HOLY COW, it was the best one I've ever seen! It was the first time I truly sat there staring at the TV, thinking, "HUH?" :confused3 I definitely know what part you're talking about watching again in slow motion. That's the part that had me saying, "HUH?" :rotfl2:

Happy 1 year mark day everyone!!!!!!

Hopefully this "subtropical" storm Andrea will stay away from the mouse!!!

On a bit of a lark last night I sent my resume for a staff attorney position a local hospital has open. I am thinking more and more I am ready for a career change after 30 years in retail . . .

I turn 50 in September and I have been thinking about that 2nd career. Have you seen the commercial for some investment firm at a 50th birthday party. They advertise savings for retirement and then also 2nd careers...sounds really good to me right now.

We got new Castaway Club cards today. They came in a promo piece that has a pic of mickey and goofy surfing with the ship in the background. It listed all the new perks and privileges. I love the picture. :flower3:

What perks did it list?

You know, it is kinda scary....seems like just yesterday I posted 400 days....

I am sure wherever we are staying the night before the cruise next year I will be itching to get in that car and down to the port!! Early I know but.......

We should all have something lime green hanging out of our car windows or something so we can wave on the way to the port!!!

Getting close to bedtime.

Wow ----- that would be a change!

Ut Oh, I don't like when it gets overcrowded. Maybe I should rethink this!?!
:scared1:  :scared1:
Actually it depends on the day I think, the closer to Halloween of course is more busy but we've had a fantastic time the past four years and we'll be there this year too! The Pirate and Princess parties, now that was very quiet! Loved it!

Yeah, it sure would be, but sometimes you need a change . . .

You probably know better than anyone here V (because of John) the rigors of the retail business. I have lived that almost my whole life.

Another thing that prompted my thought this way is that I can actually retire from here with a full 30 and out pension (at age 47) at this time. Believe me, it is nothing to live on - about 16k a year - but every little bit helps.

I decided I needed to start thinking younger instead of thinking my career is complete.

I wanted to go to the Ritz for a beautiful brunch....but alas our new budget send me to my parents country club that is not quite gourmet. I'm saving it for Palo's! I love this time of year...Mother's day on Sunday and then my birthday on the 16. For my next birthday (which will be my 40th) we will all be crossing the Panama Canal!!!!!:cool1:

My 41st will be on next year's cruise - my 40th is the day of the DL meet!! :cool1:

:scared1:  :scared1:

The only time we thought it was too crowded was the year we went on Halloween and it was a Friday night too!

Me either....I say...as I admit the family and I went to Cold Stone Creamery tonight....:sad2:

mmmmm - mint mint chocolate chocolate chip

conratulations!!

A few times we found the MNSSHP very quiet. Would love to go to Pirate & Princess party sometime.

The last spa I went to in Scottsdale had the kind of locks where you can program in your own combination. I can't believe they would knowingly have a setup where one key can open multiple locks--and especially not warn the patrons. I'm sorry this happened to you, Noel.

Cheri, thanks for the sympathy. I think that is a great idea. I should mention this solution in my letter to the casino.
