I loved the Prom pictures.....

For all of you with small children, you will blink your eyes and it will be your kids at the Prom.......

I told Gretchen and Annie I am not going to feed them anymore...so they will stop growing!!

I second your post! I just love all the pictures of everyone's kids and John house.

It seems only yesterday my kids were small and now I am a grandmother with 6 grandchildren.

All caught up and off to do my mani/pedi. Will check in later. Everyone have a MAGICAL day!!

Male or female? I just lost a seven year old male german shepherd named gandalf. That's why we got a girl and named her angel. We still miss gandalf and love him everyday. But he was a lot easier to train then angel is. I think it's the male/female thing. He was a good dog. He listened immediately and was a really sweet soul. I have to get a picture of him to post on here. I have him in my cell phone...
;) :goodvibes ;)

That's interesting. I've only had one dog, a male. He was pretty easy to train (housebreak anyway) as I recall. I'll have to keep this in mind when/if I get another dog.

John,

In your honor I went into the huge apple store in Chicago on Michigan Ave. I was doing a little (ok a lot) of shopping (it's amazing what you can do in 2 hours) and thought ok, you should walk in. I walked in an it is the quietest store I have ever seen! Everyone has headphones on and is attached to something. I must say it was a little intimidating, I am kind of an online girl. I think I need a guide...

I was in Chicago for the first time a year ago and got to go to that Apple store. All I can say is...WOW! I could have spent hours there! I spent some time at the Genius Bar and got some helpful information. There are Apple stores in Phoenix, but nothing like this!

Thanks! I figured you'd love the turtle ones since I remembered you mentioning that you collect turtles.

Not sure if anybody noticed or remembers (or even cares), but in almost every group of photos I post, there's usually a pic with Tyler holding a blue bear. I keep forgetting to mention....that's Bo. Bo has been around since Tyler's birth. He started grabbing his fur when he was 3 months old. Ever since then, Bo and Tyler have been inseparable. He named him when he was a year old. Nobody has any idea how he came up with that name....I suppose he just thought it sounded good. He wasn't trying to say bear or blue because at that time, bear came out sounding like "bay" and blue was "boo". Strange. Bo is about as flat as a pancake now. I've asked Tyler if he'd like more stuffing put in him so he can actually cuddle with him, but he refuses....says he likes him flat. His tail has been sewn many, many times because that's Tyler's favorite part. He gets washed once a week to try to prevent him from getting too stinky. Just crazy what kids become attached to! :rotfl:

NOW I'm really headed to sleep! This time for sure!

Yes, I've noticed the bear. Thanks for sharing the story. My 9 year old nephew (3rd grade) has a dolphin--not as tattered as Bo, but he's been around. He got left at the DL hotel last Jan., but I rescued him!

Edited to add: the dolphin got left at the hotel, not the nephew!

How cute! :goodvibes I was hoping when Tyler starts kindergarten this fall, he'll lose interest in Bo with all the new things he'll be doing. But if your nephew is 9, I might be out of luck! I'm just glad he has some comfort in his unstable world of getting shipped back and forth between his dad's and my house. I hate that his life has to be like that, but he seems to be a well adjusted, happy kid.

Bo even gets his own wristband at the kids' club onboard, but his goes around his neck. :rotfl2:

Ohhhh I forgot to tell all you champagne girls, when I was flying to Chicago on Thursday, Delta made this big announcement on the plane that they were out of bankrupcy and were listed on the stock exchange today. They even rang the bell at harsfield. Anyway, because of that, they were giving FREE CHAMPAGNE to the whole flight. They just walked down the isles with it and then refreshed the whole flight. I bet there were more than a few tipsy travelers Thursday!

My 8 year old grandaughter still has Skinny, her soft mouse type soft toy with long thin legs and floppy ears. It was a birth present from our next door neighbours and it has been her constant nightime and needtime companion!

When my children were babies, I encouraged flannel or muslin cloths for ease of washing, after seeing a child going around with a full sized pillow as a comforter!!

that would be great if DCL added a photopass!

I just talked to DH...seems he is having to summons the police. A cshier stole money and another employee stole a cart full of meat...my word, what are people thinking?

A cart full of meat? Seriously? Obviously they are thinking about adding more protien to thier diet:rotfl: Who does that!

Wow! I wish I had been on that flight! How cool! :cheer2:

Hi Everyone its been a long time since i have been around and sorry that i disappeared after the loss of my grandfather everything snowballed into one giant list of to do's and get dones for his service, and his estate, and such.

We were supposed to go to Florida in April but that got cancelled, then we rebooked for Disney for 4 nights in June and then my Cousin decided her and her fiance were moving their wedding up and you guessed it we would be at the MK the day they get married so that trip got cancelled.

But we ARE going to WDW for 7 nights instead this time in September with the Free dining. We will have a rental car so we may drive over to the port to take photos one day while the magic is there and wave as it sails away.

I can't believe its just a few days over a year away time is moving faster then i thought it would!

I read about the champagne girls thing and that sounds like fun I'd love to join so i'll pm the poster in charge of that if you all don't mind me joining?

Anyone else going to WDW or FL in September between the 11 and 18th?

I keep forgetting to ask.....is anybody here going on the DVC member cruise in October '07?

The more Champagne Girls the merrier!!:) :dance3:

I wish I were! :goodvibes

Me too!

Once again, I'm sure you all can tell how hard I'm working at work today. Such a rough job I have! :lmao:

Well, I leave work in about 10 minutes at 2:30pm for class. Have class from 3-5pm. Then pick up Tyler and we can do our yardwork. He'll be thrilled to be outside more on such a beautiful day! :thumbsup2

I deal with this daily . . . they still think that there really is such a thing as a "free lunch". Right now I am investigating the same thing at one of our stores.
