For those of you that are planning to be at the World on the weekend of the 12th of May....

Davy Jones  is planning that weekend for Flower & Garden Festival, so I will be there for 1 of the shows definately on Saturday if anyone wants to join me. I probably will go back Sunday too :rotfl:

I would so love to be there!!! I used to  him too!!!

Monica, how did you get the logo with the Magic to be smaller?

The octupus faced guy? You guys really like him? :rolleyes1

Thought I would share a few pictures of that day at OKW...kind of quiet around here and I didn't want to start quoting myself, but, since Holly is sick, someone has to take over:lmao: :lmao:
Kaylee, those are great pics! So cute!

OK.....I'm a bit chattier today, but have lots of work to do, so I won't be here much. Feeling about 80% myself now! :woohoo: Woohoo! Slept in today.....sort of slept through my alarm for work....actually, shut it off when I heard it! :rotfl: That extra bit of sleep did wonders for me! But I'll still go to bed early again tonight so I can keep recovering. :thumbsup2

----Tuesday!

Went to bed early last night and I am still tired. Tonight we have to dine with the Outlawz....at Outback...at least they have liquor there.

trying to reconcile some accounts, having a retail background makes it so frustrating that we have cashiers not closing their credit card machine for days at a time. Makes it very hard to track payments hitting the bank!

Hi everyone,
Boy, am I behind! I’m only on page 840 and now the DIS is down--will I ever get caught up? I'll type this out now and post it in the morning.

I had a nice trip for Easter and will be leaving in a couple of days for a week in San Diego :goodvibes but before I do anything else I will tie up the “loose ends” I left dangling.

First, the joke:
If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring?
Pilgrims, of course! :rotfl: (that one was always a hit with the first graders)

Now, about the psychic...
My brother died last August--age 53, dead at least a couple of days before he was found in his home, had been very depressed, alcoholic, separated from wife. Cause of death determined to be “alcoholic liver disease”, but many questions unanswered. The psychic, Ann, was very good--a very normal woman living in a nice normal house in a normal neighborhood in Phoenix. I think my sister got her name from a friend. She spent over an hour with us. I really feel that we had some communication from both my mother (who died 3/03) and my brother. The things we were told (through Ann) regarding my brother’s state of mind, the circumstances of his death, and the just way he talked to us (choice of words, expressions, etc.) were convincing to both of us and for the most part fit the facts that we do know. I cried during the session for the first time about my brother. I don’t want to say that I left there with “answers” because there’s no way to know, but I did leave with some peace in my heart. My sister and I agreed that it was a positive experience for both of us.

Back in May of ‘04, we had a reading by Allison DuBois (the woman that the TV show “Medium” is based on). This was before the show had come out and she was so famous. It was about a year after our mom died. We left there totally convinced that we’d communicated with our Mom. Interestingly, Ann said a couple of things in her reading that correlated with things we’d heard from Allison 2 years ago and something my sister had been told about my brother a few months ago.

Does anyone else have a story to share?

That's the one!!!:lmao:

Getting better every day Holly, that's great. Have a good day at work.

Cheri, fortunately it has been quiet on the thread, so could be worse as far as catching up goes!

I would so love to be there!!! I used to  him too!!!

Monica, how did you get the logo with the Magic to be smaller?

Marilyn,
No idea!! I just copied it from PJ (I think). I'm not good w/ computer stuff-- I just know how to copy from others :)

When are you in DL in May?

Actually we are going to WDW from May 5-13. I would LOVE to go tot DL, I have only been once and DH had never been. In fact I took DH then boyfriend on his first WDW trip in 2002! We were going to go next year after the cruise but we are afraid it will be to crowded so are hoping to make it out there the next year. I will go to DL some day!

I forgot on top of finals and trips, we are working on the house. People keep coming to help at 8:00 in the morning!!! :scared1: I don't mind but that is normally when I start waking up now I have to be up and ready. Oh well if they want to help who am I to stop them!:) They paint while I am at school or doing other things. My mom runs to Lowes at least twice a day, she allergic and afraid of cats and I have 2 so she likes to stay away from them( I keep them in one room, but they keep escaping). The house is 37 years old and needs lots of work. I decided to take the summer off school so I could get things done.

Perhaps if I try copying yours then!! I think I copied mine from someone else!!!:)

got on here at last, have had a busy day.......2 hours ironing this morning, then helping dd with some exam revision skills.:rolleyes1 my life is just one long round of excitement!;)

One good piece of news from dh today....he is currently a contractor with an IT company but has just been told his permanent appointment has been approved, so that's great news for holidays!:cool1: Although the money will be a little less, it's more security, a car, paid holidays etc! :dance3:

I'm up for a DIS meet on the 12th of May! Let me know who's up for it and if there is anything in particular you want to do....I can always set something up for us.

we'll be around DTD for a while as we have to check in our luggage there first thing after we get back from the cruise on the 12th. I think we have a car picking us up from GF some time later on in the afternoon/early evening?

I'm OK everybody. :thumbsup2 Yesterday I slept 2 hours before leaving for the family egg hunt, stayed 2 hours, then came home to rest. Got Tyler to bed early and I crashed too. But today I'm definitely on the mend. The cough is almost gone and it's all head congestion at this point. People at work told me I still look pale, but I'm not feverish anymore and I was able to function somewhat. Not as sleepy as I have been, but will head to bed when Tyler goes to bed at 7:30 so as not to push my luck. Thanks for looking out for me! :grouphug:

Glad to hear you're recovering Holly:thumbsup2 You take it easy!

Oh my goodness! I am so jealous!

MrsM it was beautiful! One day you'll have get in your MH and motor on over here to do the UK too!;)

So I was over on my 'home' thread, bragging about finding Rose Regale for $15 a bottle and this is what my friend Wally posted:

Isn't she cute?

she's so sweet!:cool1:

Hey if you have not checked out the lifeboat drill on the main cruise page, it is really funny!

Kim

I was reading that too....very funny!:rotfl2:

Thought I would share a few pictures of that day at OKW...kind of quiet around here and I didn't want to start quoting myself, but, since Holly is sick, someone has to take over:lmao: :lmao:

lovely photo's! Looks like C & D made it fun for the kids!:)

Boma question.....

I have only done the dinner. Is the breakfast good? I booked us for Mother's Day but am not sure if I will like it as much as dinner. Anyone tried it or heard anything about it?

Thanks

we love the bf at Boma and alwasy do it once on holiday at WDW :thumbsup2
The juice is lovely, DH loves the ham, and I just love it all!:thumbsup2

We had friends come up to the Bodega house for a "Monday Supper"; DD and DH made sauted shrimp, garlic crab legs, fresh oysters and I added some artisinal cheeses for appetizers (wine of course).:thumbsup2

Then DD and DH made clam chowder (fresh clams in there as well), grilled artichokes, and sourdough bread for the "main" course! Simple Ice Cream for dessert!

Really good, but of course, the kitchen is anialated again!! I have my second dishwasher load going and I have everything prepped for the third load. Finished all of the hand washables as well.

Our friends twin girls are staying with us and DD is holding court upstairs in the loft room!!:scared1:

Calgon, take me away...:scared1:

Karen

mmmmmmmmm clam chowder!:woohoo: lol at the girls Karen.....those were the days! I, on the other hand, fell asleep at 2 am waiting for my dd to come in last night!!!!! (don't even ask!):sad2:

[COLOR="Green"I'm fasting tonight...gotta go for blood tests in the morning, mom is going for one too. So I'll be up and out very early because I need my coffee in the morning and won't be able to have any until after the test.

Just up for a quick dog walk and bathroom stop right now, going back to bed. Hope everyone has a better Tuesday. It sounded like everyone had a blue Monday. Tomorrow will be a better day because we will be one more day closer to our cruise and meeting everyone in person with our DOD's and Champagne and Beer and Rum!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
Hope you got on ok today Deb, your Mum too. Don't forget one day closer to high tea and English lessons!!:thumbsup2

The real Davy Jones is from the Monkees!!! Hey, hey, we're the Monkees!!!

Otherwise we're talking POTC 2!!

Wow. I got chills just reading that. Thank you for sharing and sorry for you losses.
After my uncle's sudden death at age 55 (1995) we were all pretty devastated. He was like a father to me and we were very close. It was a very hard death for me to come to terms with. About a month later my mom had a dream about my uncle and he told her a special saying that that we used to say to eachother right before he would leave (he travelled around the world teaching at US Embassy High Schools). My mom was confused but told me about her dream and all of a sudden it felt ok that he was gone.

It's been so enjoyable reading about everyone's Easter traditions and learning more about the Greek culture. I had no idea that Easter was the major holiday for Greeks. Thanks for sharing, everyone! The link to the hymns was really interesting, as was learning about the customs in the UK.

One change in Easter customs here that really irks me is how the Easter basket seems to have turned into a giant spring Christmas stocking! And it seems to have really gotten bad in just the last few years. boo hiss

[Great pictures!! We always seem to get the best pictures with Ship and Dale!! They are so fun and so minxy (my dad's expression for wiley behavior!)
Karen
Those pictures of Chip and Dale are priceless. I am glad they made a bad situation better.
I wanted to post these pictures again. These are some of the cutest pictures I have ever seen. What great memories this must have been. Disney can turn a bad situation into Magic it seems any time.

You had said Mickey was Grumpy......was it the way he was supposed to be or was the Cast Member just not happy?

Thank you! I enjoy those pictures as well. The girls look at them all the time and remember how much fun they had. Chip and Dale spent over an hour with the kids running around the lobby and playing games. Can you believe I only have 50 or so pictures:lmao: Mickey was just in a bad mood. He wanted to get out of there and didn't even want to pose for pictures. He was really excited when chip and dale came in to take over for him. Maybe he thought since there was a hurricane he would get the day off.
We had just gotten off the Wonder the day before and our servers had told us that the ship had been stocked for 7 days in case Wilma hit while we were at sea and we couldn't dock on time. Is this normal for the ship to be overstocked like that or just during hurricane season?

Deb,

You only have 8 lines and 2 graphics, so you are WAY under the limit!;)

Hope your Easter was lovely!!:hippie:

Hope you are having fun with the girls and the kitchen is clean! Once again, sounds like a marvelous dinner!

I have left that day up to our friends to plan, so if we happen to be in Epcot I will certainly try and find you. As it gets closer I will know more of what our plan will be and will let you know.

Really, I just need a computer that doesn't have some panicky gliche every day that makes me freak over losing everything and gives me a headache Does that really exist?

Uh, yeah....the initials are M A C !!!!!!! ;)

Couldn't resist!!!

Cheri, fortunately it has been quiet on the thread, so could be worse as far as catching up goes!
That's because I've been absent! :rotfl: Aren't you all glad you can catch up easily now?! Don't get too comfortable....that's all about to change in a couple days or so! :lmao:

Uh, yeah....the initials are M A C !!!!!!! ;)

Couldn't resist!!!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:
I am sure that PJ and John will have comments too........
I must say this group has made me want a mac, but now it is just a matter of finances settling down (I have this cruise I need to pay for!:lmao: ). Also, I do a lot of powerpoint presentations about wellness and weight loss at local community locations and I would hate to lose those by switching out of the microsoft world.

My health is fine but have had some family issues related to inheritance etc. to deal with the lawyers and my surviving siblings etc.

I had similar experiences in my family (years ago). It made an already difficult situation even worse and caused a rift that lasted for years.
