I met my DH at a party at my brother's house when I was 18. He had just got back from a one year tour with his "rock band"

out on Canada's East Coast. He was seated , with many friends around him, telling of all his great tales while away

I was drawn to him, and listened along with everyone else. I met up with him a couple more times while at my brother's, then he asked me out for a first date for my 19th birthday We were married when I was 21 (he was 24) and had a wonderful daughter and son together. We were married for 23 wonderful years and I never grew tired of listening to his stories

We would constantly over the years meet up with people that knew my DH but that I didn't know and it would be so interesting to listen to them discuss days gone by...it seemed to be a lifelong journey getting to know my DH and I loved him more each day. I lost my dear husband to cancer 5 yrs ago
Even at his memorial I had a few strangers introduce themselves to me and say they had known my DH in school and how they remembered him because he was so kind, never a bad word about anyone, and for the wonderful stories he told We miss him terribly, but his love lives on with us forever.
