:rotfl2: Oh, I don't believe that! ;) But you know, I never liked kids, never wanted any. He was a complete oops, so I just feel I owe it to him to do the best I can. He's a good little boy, but I might want to chain him in the closet when he hits 13 or so! :rotfl: :lmao:

Holly, my twin! I too never wanted kids, until I was told I couldn't have any and then that I would have one!:hippie:

I just love our DD so much, I couldn't imagine life without her! And now that she is 13...what was that about the closet?:rolleyes1

Yes, we are a lot alike!!:flower3:

Ship 'em!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I must admit this is the reason I vow to stay the GS troop leader. We leaders agree it's hard with parents around, but I'm not sending Miss Molly off with anyone but her mama....over protective and OCD that's me.:lmao:

next year Molly has a one week camp trip no parents with school. Just not sure that I'm okay with it yet....I'll figure somehow to weazle my way in...even to bring starbucks to the teachers each morning 30 minutes away, better than the paranoid feelings I'd have if she was away...:scared:

Nan,

Alex, our DD, in 6th grade went on the outdoor education camp trip last November to Camp Loma Mar in the Santa Cruz Mt.'s. She didn't want to go, almost begged me not to get on the bus. I worried about her and missed her TERRIBLY for four days. We often go away on trips without her, but we usually can talk to her, email her or she is with my DSIS.

When she got off the bus I was almost in tears and she... didn't want to come home!! She had had such a great time, she wanted to stay!! The nerve!!:confused3

Working my way through the pages. Good to know you kept up the speed when I left last night!
Well, my DH has my daughter and now one of her friends as well. The flight takes off from Tampa at 6:15pm (about 6 minutes) and they are on board!!

Today, a total of 8 students are sick (out of 40).....Annie and Laura are the first to leave.

I bought trip insurance on this trip. The trip was $2,000 and the insurance was $159. I am on the phone now with Worldstrides and they say the insurance only covers injury not illness. This really makes me mad.

Well, Annie will be safely home and in her own bed now. I am sop glad. Such a shame so many children are poorly. Can't believe the insurance company!:sad2:

Well, I FOR ONE will find out soon! My hubby has business in Sweden in August and after we are heading your way!!! I've ALWAYS wanted to visit - even have some long lost cousins in Wales! Horseback riding thru your country side is CALLING ME!

You will love it! Wales is beautiful.

:offtopic: Sorry, just have to share a story. Just got Tyler to bed and as I was leaving I reminded him that he'll hear thunder tonight and not to be worried about it. Of course, he told me he doesn't like that, it scares him, etc. Told me he wants me to make sure he doesn't hear it. I told him I can't do that because I can't change the weather. He asked, "Well, who can? The weatherman?" Nope. He asked, "God can, right?" I told him, "Yes, but he's not going to tonight because spring is the time for lots of rain because trees and grass and everything need lots of water to turn green again. We don't want the trees to stay naked....they need to grow leaves!" He laughed about that. I told him when he hears thunder, just remember it can't hurt us because it's just a noise. I told him it's just those crazy clouds bumping into each other. They're running around like crazy, trying to sprinkle rain everywhere it needs to go, and just not watching where they're going, so they crash into each other all the time. And those long rolls of thunder are just the clouds grumbling at each other sort of like they're saying, "Hey, would you watch where you're going? Quit bumping into me!" He just kept laughing harder and harder as I went along and all fear seemed to be gone. As I left his room, he said, "Mom, I'll remember to laugh at those silly clouds when I hear thunder." Phew! Now lets hope it works!

So I came into the living room and drew a picture on his easel of 2 clouds that just crashed and they have silly expressions on their faces, so hopefully he'll see it in the morning and laugh more!

This age is so fun! The silly things that make kids laugh! I do whatever I can to hear that great giggle!

And now......back to the champagne discussion!

What a great mum you are thinking up an exciting story like that. Really!!!:thumbsup2

Me too :woohoo: Love wine...Champagne :confused3 of course I'm sure I could learn ;)

That's what I am worried about, getting a taste for Champagne!!!

I know just what you mean here!

Guys, you are killing me - 12 pages to catch up on since last night????

Well guys, the true Geek in me won out tonight . . . .

I am paying for internet service in the room at Beach club Villas, and since I brought along my Airport Express, I can connect wirelessly just like at home after I hooked up my own little mini-network here.

I know . . . Hopeless.

We made the trip here from Vero (took two hours even with a stop for gas and a stop for lunch - drive through). Got here about 1:00, and the room wasn't ready so Sophia and I went for a swim in Storm-a-Long-Bay. She likes that waterslide too - but the water is over her head at the bottom!

No fear though, she wants to do it without the vest, and swim to me at the rope! After checking in and unpacking, we went to Animal Kingdom for a couple of hours, and then to Boma for a Great dinner.

Watched the Epcot fireworks from our balcony, and now just chilling before a full day at Epcot and Animal Kingdom tomorrow. Can't wait to see Vanessa and Family on Saturday!

Have a great day. Epcot is my favourite park. How busy is everywhere?

I'm looking right now on Ebay for that 100lbs of underwear you guys were talking about. I figure that is one pair for every woman on board!
OK ladies, you heard him......No need to pack undies. John's bringing a supply for us! And we expect them to come pre-bedazzled. :rotfl:
Fittings will be held in Studio Sea, midship, right after the lifeboat drill!:lmao:
How do I explain to my husband that I don't have to pack my unmentionables, because some guy named John is bringing them??
All I can say to the above is.....:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

I'm allergic to them too - love Zyrtec D. (Also allergic to dogs and horses)
Same here...allergic to it all! We are pet free.:sad1:

Night, really...:) DH FORCED me to hop online and ask LiserAnn an HP question. He made me, so I'm just catching up before I go watch junk tv on the DVR.
Uh-oh, he must be VERY unhappy if he forced you to PM me...I PM'd ya back!!!

We need to start a new list!
No, no more lists!!

Whew!! Finally caught up and now everyone is gone!!:confused3
I just caught up myself....and only here for a tad longer!:flower3:

Still about 8 pages to go!

I'm starting to stress...I've only got 13 months to figure out my mascot outfit!!!:scared1:

Stress not, your friends here will sort it!!:rotfl:

I'm with you on the water and teas - saving calories for the 2 desserts I plan to have at dinner everynight!

Here is my little bit of Sassy

100_2081.jpg

She's 14 years old.

Don't want the other 2 to feel left out so here is a picture of the 2 of them:

100_1391.jpg

Jasper is on the left - he's 5 and weighs 14 1/2 pounds.

Sweetie is on the right - She's 6 and weighs 9 pounds.

She was in the cubbie first but she likes to hold her ground when he tries to squeeze her out.

I love your cats. Poor Sweetie, she is so squashed!

Morning Karen - managed to catch up at last!

Annie is home!! She got home at 10:00pm with her dad.

Thank you so much for the offer. I have been just crazy. One of the adults got sick before they left so 2 adults took 40 kids :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: They say now 8 of 40 are sick with a fever of 102 or higher. My DH brought home Annie and her best friend. He left the other 6 sick ones there for the teachers to deal with. He had his hands full with the two sick ones.

She was in Tampa for the first three days of the trip. That is where Don got them. They will move to Orlando tomorrow for the last three days. The first day she threw up the whole day. The second day she stayed in the hotel all day sleeping. One of the two teachers could not stay (as there was only two of them) so the travel company brought in a someone Annie had never meet before to stay with her and the other two sick ones. That stinks. When I finally got her on the phone, I asked if she could get some Over the Counter Meds for Annie...she said no...she did not have transportation. I said Annie had plenty of cash for a cab and she really needed something to help her. No Luck.

I am so mad at this whole incident. I have been writing a letter to the principal in my head al afternoon. Of course, that might hurt my daughter, if I critize what a terribel job they did with this.

This is the 5th year this school has done this and the first year a child had to go home sick. They have never planned for this.

Glad to hear she is home safely. I can't believe the teacher/student ratio. After quite a few accidents(and a few deaths I have to add) on school trips over here I think that would not be allowed, and they would always welcome some parent support I think.

Alright, will give into the temptation. Meet one of our gift to our daughter's for Christmas - - - Pumpkin and Macaroni

IMGP0932.jpg
Just copying one, but all the pictures are just gorgeous, cite daughter, cute kitties.

Good night to all who are still awake and good morning to all the UK friends who will be on the boards.

See you in the AM.

Noel
See you later Noel.

Good morning fellow cruisers & Champagne Girls!:cool1:

Sorry I missed out on all the fun and frolics yesterday, had to press on with my mermaid!:thumbsup2

I'm off to the seaside in an hour or so to spend a few days with my parents and my friends back home in Southend on sea (Grumpy John, I'll say hi to the Pier for you ;)) Anyway, this means I'll be web-less for a few days.... :scared1: Be good without me (yeah right!)

Deb, keep those Champagne Girls in line won't you?;) have fun sorting out the outfits:)

Pink elephant seems logical...but I'm not so keen on being an elephant:dumbo: , if you know what I mean! Hmmm...I've got to ponder that one.
Maybe a cheshire cat???:ccat: It keeps with the pink theme--the grin seems appropriate, too.
Can I be a Champagne Ladies official mascot????? please???

love the idea of a cheshire cat!

Well I would, but all the sweeteners don't agree with me!!! :sad2: Leaves more for you though!!!:rotfl:

I'm hoping for a proper coffee or two, then it's water, green tea and peppermint tea!!!

Wow, I do sound healthy don't I?:lmao: Wait till you see the desserts I will eat! Oh, and the choc chip cookies, cheese plates, Mickey Ice cream bars, Ice cream from the ice cream station, etc, etc, etc.!:dance3:

:rotfl:

We'll just have to pick a mascot. Do you like the Pink Pussycats Champagne Girls???? It'll be easy to get into costume for all of those who want to be mascots.:confused3

Mandy, O Original One, what do you think would be a good mascot for your girls?
:cheer2:

I'll leave it you Deb to sort out the mascot I think!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: You seem to have some great ideas!!!!!:lmao:

OK.....I don't drink champagne, but I want to join the Champagne Girls just so I can be part of the fun! Pleeeeease?! :goodvibes

Wouldn't be right without you Holly!:thumbsup2

:rotfl2: They're forcing us to drink!!!

 us? :rotfl:

I had a boss who was outwardly so nice about kids being sick, but always asked a gazillion questions trying to treat/diagnose over the phone, so that I could get back to work. (No, he didn't have kids at the time.) DS18 had real issues with asthma when he was little (doctor gave us an open prescription for liquid steroids and we'd start medicating right before we called the doctor). ANYWAY, I started stopping by work after taking DS to the doctor, so my boss could see and hear just how sick he was. One day, I had my son pull up his shirt so bossman could see how retracted his lungs were into his ribs. Didn't question me too much after that!

Carolyn

wow Carolyn, good for you. I used to work for a woman who was like that, I even had to take Becky in with me one day when she was sick and I couldn't get childcare....I changed my attitude after that and found another job!:confused3

Ok, now, I could do THAT! Whatever you all decide for a mascot, doesn't it just HAVE to be named Bubbles?

Carolyn

great name!:cool1:

Here is the visual I got when you mentioned a "kitty cat" costume!!

kittycat.jpg

:rotfl2: not quite the visual I had!:lmao:

can I join too? I bathe in champagne!!!

the more the merrier!:cool1:

My stomach hurts from laughing so hard today at all the posts...

I'm supposed to be looking for an Rx from the Doctor written 6 months ago...I have to take blood tests before going back for my next upcoming appointment.

I didn't get it done....I'm having way too much fun laughing here. Thanks Ladies for a great afternoon!:dance3: :grouphug:

Deb, I'm laughing the same this morning after reading all these posts!:rotfl:

It's eduuucaaational....

Carolyn

Hi Angel, Did you read about what you have started....:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

but, we're having soooooo much fun with it!!!! Thanks to you!:lmao: :lmao:

Have a great few days in the old neighborhood. I'll tell John you'll say hi to the pier. We figured out that maybe you and he were there around the same time. quaint, isn't it. maybe around 1970-71ish.....
