Find out the policy on sick kids. From what I hear tonight the plan is to take 6 sick kids to all day at Discovery Cove tomorrow.

Is that nuts or what??

I figure our kids get to travel all over the place with us, so if they miss a trip with a club or school it won't kill 'em. hopefully I'll adjust as they near high school, but to be honest I'm just that way over protective mom. Karen (are ya with me on this one?)

since I always go on the field trips I know how easy it is to get away and in trouble, even if you are a good kid....

I did this trip 5 years ago (with now DS17), the only year they allowed parents. We had 3 teachers and 8 parents for 30 kids. After that, no parents.

Actually, I do understand the no parent allowed trips. What I don't get is not rounding up more chaperones, EVEN if FOR THIS ONE TIME ONLY, the stand-in chaperones are parents.

No, because my kids went to Pinewood but they did go to Catalina in 7th grade for science camp. That camp is acutually a Boy Scouts camp in the summer. My dad actually went to that camp back in the 1930's

My four sisters and I went to he original Redwood Glen. My sister's son did Redwood Glen in 4th grade. Small world, huh?

Thanks for sharing. Would love to see some pictures. We are hoping to do a RCCL cruise next April (planning to surprise my mom for her 60th with us, dad, her best friends, DS, DBIL and DN), but from the sounds of your report, no cruise line can compare to DCL! Maybe I will rethink that cruise. Hmmm, would a 7d DCL in April and then the 15 d in May be too much DCL?!

Of course the Geek in you won! Our group is irresistable?! Glad you are having such a great vacation! Glad you are having fun on the slides! Hey, is the older gentlemen (great description, but I can't think of his name right now, Bill maybe?) still working the door there? My girls love chatting with him....he was showing them all the hidden mickey's on the carosel in december and telling them that they should stay there again instead of OKW since BCV is much better! Enjoy Epcot and AK tomorrow. Don't forget...let us know if Sophia makes it on EE and how she likes it!

Glad to hear they made it home safely. I would definately write a letter...maybe write one that you know you will throw away (filled with all of your thoughts and frustrations) and then write the other one, the one you will really send. They need to know that the situation wasn't handled right.

Fittings will be held in Studio Sea, midship, right after the lifeboat drill!

Yeah, just tell him a "John" is bringing them . . . that's the ticket . . . after all, you have to pay for this cruise one way or another!

Stop! I'm laughing out loud and he's waiting for his computer...I really need to relinquish control here. Geez, now it's, "Honey, one of my Johns is bringing my underwear!"

thank goodness my DH just left to meet a tenant so he wasn't here to question why I have been laughing so hard. Telling him I was just laughing over a bedazzled underwear conversation on line, he would probably look at me a bit strange.
