Did you say your 50th? I would have guessed this was your 40th b-day pic. Looking good.

Thanks! I was blessed with great genes. Just wait until you see my 74 year old mom. She doesn't look a day over 60.

What in the world happened to the DIS boards? Have been down most of the day today????

:surfweb:

I know, crazy, I was in the middle of posting...of course, I lost it. Ah well, guess it wasn't so important after all.:lmao:

Caught up . . . going to bed.

Those of you with iPods . . .

You need to try www.audible.com

I get an audio book a month on audible. Would be glad to recommend some good ones. Much easier than tapes or cd's. Just download to iTunes and you've got it! If you decide to join, pm me, I think I can get a free book or something for a referral.

Have any of you tried Podcasts too? There is an incredible amount of educational and entertaining stuff out there, and ALL FREE!

Good night all!

(Oh, and what was up with the boards being down?)

I love Audible! And there are a ton of Disney related Podcasts on iTunes.

Went on the tech forum and they said there has been a techincal problem this afternoon that Webmaster Alex had been working diligently on!:thumbsup2 Thank you Alex.

I totally have to agree!! You look great!princess:

Is that the dogs picture on the cake? Should have been yours!!;)

Karen

Yes, that was the dogs pic on the cake. My DD25 did that for me. Sweet, huh? We had only had Bella a week at that point.

Well, just got the board back and it is bed time for me!

Don't forget to answer my question from first thing this morning UK time. What are your plans for after the cruise?

Good night all. Have a good evening.:)

I thought the movie The Holiday was so much fun! I just loved Jude Law in it. Did you like it?? Lisa

Didn't get to watch it afterall :sad2: DH got a business call and that lasted until 1030, so at that point, I went into bed and read. Will watch it tonight before LOST! Tonight we get to figure out what the truth is about John. Now, who thinks they will actually tell us anything concrete? I am still waiting for any answers.

wow that was wierd without the DIS today!:confused3

Still, meant I could spend some time with Becky who's just back from Berlin/Latvia!:) She had a great time after all :)

Maz, we're not sure yet what our plans will be after the cruise. Mark's an IT contractor at the moment so the more time he has off the less he's paid! :guilty: We're hoping he'll be permanent by then and then we may well spend a few more days in LA. I'd love to see Hollywood and Rodeo Drive....maybe do a little shopping!;) Also I'd like to see the coast a bit. I'm not too bothered about DL as I know it's holiday time and will be packed!

PJ - I hope they have the whole pin thing fixed before we sail! That would be a nightmare!

John - glad to hear your dad is doing better....and unless I am making up my own theme nights, I thought there was a 60's night?

Love seeing everyone's pictures! We are a great looking bunch!!!

Well the Indians lost yesterday...but we had front row 3rd base side seats and they were great....got there a bit early and what a day...the weather was gorgeous, the field was filled with ball players stretching, warming up, etc....hot dog, a beer and Johnny to myself...what could be better?

Then John's team won last night. He hit a homer to win it, so he was pretty pleased with himself. Better on his knee too...

Wednesday...that much closer to Friday I guess. My sister turns 22 today...we are not going to dinner with her...she is a half an hour away and my friends from last year might remember you may need a raincoat to eat with her if she drinks in excess.

Leaves a great image in my mind....that would be the typical 21st bday reaction right?! Except it wasn't happening at the porcelain god?! :lmao: What fun for you....

What a great pic!

Delta Gamma here, SJSU....that was a great idea to avoid chapter why didn't I think of that? Are you guys active with your alum groups? We just have a new group started here in the last few years, I've tried to get into it, but many conflicts due to other things....life, kids, girl scouts, boy scouts....maybe later in life. Oh ya, Pike little sis too.

DD Samantha is a Kappa Alpha Theta.

Noel, sorry to hear of your loss. Please tell DH too.

Thank you and I will tell DH.

Life has taken over for me lately and will for the rest of the week, I'll be lurking as I can..ta ta

I have a question too that I bet someone may have help on (Birkner?) I CANNOT find the perfect carryon for gadget gear! Do they make such a thing?

I need a bag that can hold - a laptop, a SLR digital camera, an extra lens, a compact digital camera, Bose headphones, a compact camcorder, my iPod, and a cpap machine (sleep apnea aid), a book or two, and travel documents. It needs to have wheels too.

Business cases are either just for laptops and business stuff (not cameras too) and other bags are primarily for clothes. Has anyone found the "ultimate" gadget bag?

Right now, I cram into a samsonite business case which is bursting at the seams.

John, we carry two bags, one rolling tumi bag which will carry notebook computer, printer, and headphones. The Tumi bag could also probably carry your iPod, an extra book or two and the cpap machine, as I suspect it is rather large.

We also carry a Tamrac backpack which carries the Nikon camera, lenses, and camcorder.

Tumi may even make something larger for all the gear but we prefer to have the camera stuff in a seperate camera case.

www.tumi.com

www.tamrac.com

There are some more expensive models that can be found at the follwoing website:

Hope this helps.

Noel

:surfweb:

My condolences to you and DH, Noel.

Thank you Cheri

I listen to the MouseStation, WDW Today and WDW Radio podcasts. Can you say "Disney Nut"?

What are you thinking of doing after the cruise?

We're definitely going straight home after the cruise. Too many days without our furry children. Seriously, I am a little stressed thinking about Bear being at the kennel that long. The girls there spoil him rotten. And he comes home expecting the same level of service from us!

You carry on a lot more stuff that I do. I put a bit of that stuff in my checked luggage. So this might not help you but I love my laptop backpack. It's a lot easier to carry than a standard carryon. And I didn't want a laptop case on wheels. My DH works for a disk drive recovery company so I've heard all the horror stories. (When you meet my DH get him to tell you some of the stories. The one about the laptop with the hatchet in it is the best. :rotfl: )

:surfweb:

It was so frustrating today!!! And now, I keep getting blank emails from disboards...anyone else getting those?

After the cruise I have a feeling we will just head home to WA. I would love to stay a bit and play around LA area, but I need to get DD back into school before I get into trouble:lmao: We will probably leave Sun and spend Mon doing laundry and catching up on mail and all that good stuff!

[COLOR=darkorchidIn fact, one of my co-workers has met her a couple of times and says she has to wear Depends when Cindy's around because of how hard she makes her laugh! :rotfl2: (Sorry to offend anybody who sincerely needs those---no harm intended.)[/COLOR]

That's ok, no offense taken! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

John1, Dennis has a Lowepro camera backpack that will hold his laptop, his cpap, his camera and an extra lense. Not ideal, but we cut 3 carryons to one with this thing. No wheels, but as a backpack it works.
