I have to say, there seems to be so much tragedy right now. We just got a call here at the office that a friend of ours DH was killed last night by a drunk driver. He was a state cop who was on his way home from a meeting and was hit head on. My good friend (also a state cop) was the first on the scene and was the one who had to go pick up his wife and take her to the hospital. They have 2 boys, 2 & 5.
OK, I am ready for some good stories now...maybe back to HP discussions or how about SHOES??????

Kaylee-I'm sorry to hear this news! It's so hard when children so young are involved-it makes it twice as painful!

DH Grumpy John wants me to post the news that happened at my house today....We have a genuine .50 ctw diamond puppy. While we were having a snuggle fest today, Angel popped up and bit my ear. Afterwards I found that my right earring, a .50 ctw diamond small hoop, was missing. Couldn't find it anywhere....puppy must have swallowed it! We're hoping this too shall pass!

So ya going to be digging through some poop....that should be interesting to watch (just kidding)!!

I love the picture you added to your sig! It's great to see more and more people's faces here. That will sure help when we all finally meet. I'm really bad with names and faces, so I need all the head start I can get!

Thanks Holly, it was the best pic we took, we were both tanned and happy and dressed up. I agree with you, the more pics I see of everyone, the easier it will be to put name and face together. The longer head start we have, the better. I love the pic you posted of you and Tyler playing Pirates. Now I connect your faces to your stories and it makes it more real for me.

What happened to the days of 2 pages a day ????

Anyway, so far so good with dad . . .

Today things looked much better, and he is in good spirits. They gave him two units of blood, and medication to clear and disolve the clots. The doctor said that other than what he came to the hospital for, for an almost 85 year old man, he is in fairly good health. If the clots get resolved and they do not find any other issues, he could come home in a few days.

Well, only 25 or so pages to catch up on - I won't comment unless absolutely necessary.

I am on this cruise with you guys but I don't think I am ever going to catfch up with everything that is going on - 400+ days out and already at 681 pages ---- is that some kind of record LOL

I can only imagine the roll call - is every cabin represented? LOL

Sorry to offend any natural blonds out there where ever you are!:r P.S this was the first time I put color on my hair. It was only because of the grey. I know live a little! My smilies got taken out when I edited. J.K about the blond jokes.

Real blond, but sorry if I offended anyone. I'm getting more and more grey by the day, however. I think it's time for highlights to camoflauge the grey.

Thanks, but I'm just me trying to be me! (Except when Tyler's making me be a pirate.....again.) But seriously, I'm quite boring compared to my friend Cindy. Although she's cruising with me, she's just not into posting here. However, she has such an incredible personality, you'll all be laughing nonstop with her around on the cruise! In fact, one of my co-workers has met her a couple of times and says she has to wear Depends when Cindy's around because of how hard she makes her laugh! (Sorry to offend anybody who sincerely needs those---no harm intended.)

I just reserved my copy of the next (final ) Harry Potter book. I got to choose one of two stickers: "Trust Snape" or "Snape is a very bad man." I chose "Trust Snape." Where do the rest of the Harry Potter fans stand on the Snape issue? Inquiring minds want to know.

I think Snape is going to end up being a good guy in the end - at least that is what I believe all the clues point to. We'll know in July.

Just read the first page of this thread to see what the "thieves" are up to and post when you can.

This is a great group who will be having lots of Palo brunches, teas and dinners. Plus we will be wine tasting, scrap booking and playing bunco together.
