Oh, I definitely want a picture of this....but I think you should post it on here so we can all admire it. Please.

we'll see, ;) have to wait for DH to come home and take pic...I'm photographically challenged I'm afraid!:rolleyes1

He should be home early today, :cool1: around 4.30, (only another 90 minutes) so we can go to a talk at the University at 6 pm. They're doing a series of talks to help parents/carers of students applying to higher education next year. It's all new to me so I need to know what financial help (if any) we can expect for Becky next year. :rolleyes1

Today I'm waiting for my wine to arrive from California. I can't wait. I'm so excited. DH, John, and I will be sampling all night.....try this one, ok, how about this one, ummm good, try another, don't mind if I do. Maybe DH should take a sick day tomorrow. I love tasting different wines. Red or white, it doesn't matter to me. Champagne is my all time favorite. How about you, do you drink wine?

ok, so it's mine for coffee this afternoon....and yours for wine sampling tonight then!;) Do we drink wine?.........:rotfl2: :lmao:

Oh yes! We love our wine, Mark belongs to a wine club....mmmmmm:cool1: We can't wait to order a box of wine from Karen for next year's cruise!

We like a good shiraz, but champagne is my fave too:) On Saturday we had a lovely rose champagne with the dinner DH cooked (roast sea bass), an a Pinot Grigio :) I'm definatley a champagne girl though.

Shall we start up a club...the Champagne Girls?:cool1: Maybe we could make badges for everyone.......;) :lmao:

That's so great that they involve parents as well as students and hold seminars to help you through the financial process of affording an education. I remember doing things all on my own when I was younger. It's great that they make it available to you. Look at poor Holly, how they misinformed her and now she has to scramble to get back into class.

Good Luck to you and DH and to Becky. Has she decided where she wants to study? Does she know what she wants to study?

Shes currently studying Geography, Environmental Science, Philosophy and Psychology at college. She really wants to study Geology and PaleoBiology ('rocks and bones' as we call it!) but they only have one course, at Leicester University, so otherwise she'll look for some kind of Earth Science course. She's at a bit of a disadvantge in some ways as she's 2 years older than most at her stage, and doesn't have all the back up courses she may need (long story but she spent 2 years out of school due to problems ). Stil, she's more mature and independant than a lot of the other kids, so that's good.:)

We are lucky they're giving us this advice, as you say, poor Holly didn't do so well with her advice did she?:sad2:

Well that's just the cherry on top of the cake! I SO LOVE IT! I'm copying it and using it for our badges. I'm making them up.....anyone else want to join????.....I'll make a bunch of them. Then, when we get on board I'll tell everyone that I'm part of an eite group called THE CHAMPAGNE GIRLS! And I'll walk around with my DOD in one hand and my champagne in the other. Now that's a vacation!:lmao: :rotfl2:  :dance3: :hippie:

Angel, maybe we could have our own Champagne Tasting....we'll order a variety of champagnes and get all the girls together who want to be part of it....list, list, another list....and we'll taste every single one. I could go for that. What do you think? I could organize it, really, I think we should do it.:thumbsup2

I've had a lazy weekend lurking. As Holly said, not feeling very posty. But now you have my interest. Count me in as a champagne girl. :thumbsup2 I may get kicked out because I don't stick to strictly champagne. I like sparkling wines from other regions, especially Banfi Regale Rose. Yum, yum. Speaking of my favorite sparkling wine, Karen is now sold out. I waited too long to order. :sad2: Karen, will you be getting in anymore??

V's Gators and John's Buckeyes are both in the final 4. They don't play each other yet. Will we have a showdown in the championship game? Could be fun, and I don't follow basketball. Good thing V and John are friends or things could get ugly.

I will have to try this one!

She is one studious young woman....being 2 years older is not a disadvantage....she can always add the back up courses she needs. I had a class with a 60+ something widow who had just started college. Age has nothing to do with it. So 2 years off is not a lot of time, especially when you look at the whole picture....she'll be that much more mature when she's finished with school and ready to start her career. And she's ahead of the game as far as knowing what she wants to do. I know so many people that still don't have a clue, even after graduation. Go figure. So she sounds like she's got it covered.

We are lucky they're giving us this advice, as you say, poor Holly didn't do so well with her advice did she?:sad2:

Exactly!

OK, now we have three in our elite group of THE CHAMPAGNE GIRLS....and another for our tasting. It's ok if you don't just stick to champagne, we won't kick you out. We love all wines.

:rotfl: Love the idea of Becky being called 'studious'! that's probably a first for her!;) Bless her, I'm off to pick her up from the Doctor's now so I must tell her that. ;)

Just been adding some more to my collage Deb, I'm now covered in tissue and PVA glue as well as blue paint...still, there's the beginnings of a mermaid tail now.......;)

Have a good day my fellow Champagne Girl!:cool1:

Angel, you're not getting very much work done and your DH is going to be home soon....I'm such a bad influence.:lmao:

I've started our list for THE CHAMPAGNE GIRLS tasting and I've copied our logo for our badges....now that's something I could put on my fish extender...:rotfl2:
