not me!

there's two cleanings a year? I've only heard of Spring Cleaning!:confused3

I haven't Spring Cleaned ever!!!:guilty:

OOOh. Good Luck. Yowza ! Take some Vick's Vapo Rub to dab under each nostril. It works.

Good idea!

that's one I have never heard before. Learn something new on the DIS everyday!

Me neither.:confused3

My DSIL and I saw Pirates 3 on the Magic, during the storm. The battle scenes were really something. So realistic.:rotfl: How does Disney do that? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh my, I would thin k I was right there in the action.:lmao:

I need some advice on the return trip home.

We get off the ship at about 8am. Then go to DL for the day.

I found a flight from LAX to Atlanta to Dulles leaving at 10pm that night (red eye) and arriving at Dulles Monday morning.

What time would we need to leave DL to get to LAX in tme for a 10pm flight?

Is this just a crazy plan?
Thanks
Lisa

I live in california and I wouldn't do that, but I'm not that adventurous :confused3

Why is it so hard to decide on airfare?

This is what I am leaning to:

Southwest direct flight Dulles to Orl - $54 (yes!) leave Thursday May 8th at 7:20 Arrive 9:25am.

Spend Thursday and Friday Pin Trading at the parks

Arrive in LA via the Magic on Sunday at 8am (about)

Spend the day at DL

Air Tran flight at 10pm (red eye) to Atlanta to Dulles @ 11am for $149.

That is about $400 for both of us for Airfare....round trip.
Our airfare is $500 for both round trip..Oak to MCO Lax to Oak...so thats a good deal. IMHO
Maybe my luggage can be in your room too??

Do you think if we take a cab from the ship to the airport, check the luggage, go to DL and then back to the airport...would that work? How early can you check baggage???
Cabs are expensive, but it'll give you more time. LAX is about an hour from DL, Orange County airport is about 20min. Long Beach airport is about 20min in the opposite direction of OC. Traffic is a pain in the butt in LA/OC. It's so very unpredicatable, so determining what time you'd have to leave would be how adventurous you are;) You might be able to store your luggage at grand cal. I would call and ask.

Just thought I'd introduce our travelling companion - Gordon T Gopher:

So cute. We don't have a travel comp. we seem to pick up a new friend whenever we travel. When my dd was in pre kinder, she had a bear for a week. Each kid had him and they had to journal (their parents did) what the bear did..well we got him when we were going to DL and that bear had a great time...lots of pics.

Last night...I caught up on lost sleep. I went to bed at 7pm and woke up at 8am this morning :scared1: My dd came and got in bed with me at 9pm and was all excited that she stayed up later than me! Terrible mom that I am. I could hear her, not fully asleep. When I knew it was time, I told her to go to bed too. Now I have to get motivated today. Don't really have a plan this 3 day weekend. Just gonna relax and try to spend nothing. Isn't the theory, if you don't leave your house, you'll save money. I'm going to try that!:rotfl2:

:laundy: calling me. Catch you all later. If bobby wants to visit california, let me know:thumbsup2

DH and I plan to get certified someday...won't be in time for this cruise though.

I did get my passport photo taken yesterday....it's horrible!:rotfl:

V, On the sea days we can sit around and laugh at each others passport photos. Did Angie tell you about the lady that laughed at mine? I think it was at the airport.

You're so lucky. I think CA is the only state in the U.S. that is smoke free in public places (but I could be wrong). We did have ONE smoke free restaurant/bar in my city, but it went out of business. :sad2:

NOPE.

Your neighbors in Ohio passed this law last year too, and it has been absolutely wonderful ever since! Here's a complete list:

Arizona
Delaware
Florida
Hawaii
Illinois
Louisiana
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Montana
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
North Dakota
Ohio
Puerto Rico
Rhode Island
South Dakota
Utah
Washington

All restaurants in these states and commonwealths are smokefree:
Arizona
California
Colorado
Connecticut

Hawaii
Idaho
Illinois
Louisiana
Maine
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Montana
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New Mexico

Note: The following state laws have been passed by legislature and signed by governor but are not yet in effect:
• Maryland enacted 100% smokefree workplace, restaurant, and bar law, which is scheduled to go into effect February 1,
2008.
• Montana enacted a 100% smokefree bar law, which is scheduled to go into effect October 1, 2009.
• Oregon enacted a 100% smokefree workplace, restaurant, and bar law, which is scheduled to go into effect January 1,
2009.
• Utah enacted a 100% smokefree bar law, which is scheduled to go into effect January 1, 2009.

Hey there!! How's that motor home doing?

The Van on Steroids is winterized now and in Deep freeze. LOL. It is just sitting there all forelorn. We did run the engine and generator last week, while we played Skip-Bo out there. It's good to run it all about once a month while it's in "Storage". It's right out in front of the house, so it's easy to keep an eye on it, but I sure would like to just get in and go. The weather is a little nasty for that right now. What's really keeping us home on weekends though, is having the house on the market. Constant cleaning by my sweety, while I try to do fixups a little at a time. Today I have to switch out some circuit breakers in the main box. Our pump house lights and the shop lights and plugs aren't working. We need to plug in the pumphouse heater so the well doesn't freeze up. It is expected to drop to 16 Sunday or Monday night. Brrrrrrrrr!

Wow, that was probably more than you wanted to know. :lmao:

Holly,

It should also be on your list of thread subscriptions. You were the last one to post on Bobby's Thread.

Thanks John. Thanks for going through all the work of finding that. I will be adding some updates. Good Bobby is visiting with us for awhile. There will be a joyous reunion in May.

Dennis I know what you mean about the pumphouse. Thanks for reminding us folks in N. Ga and other places too to turn our heater on. Thank goodness we are on county water now but we still use our well. It took a long time to get use to the taste of the county water though. But we no longer have to worry about the power going out and not having water.

Yep. The power outages are awful. We had to move to a local ,motel for 3 days once, just to take showers. Another time we had jugs of water saved up and heated it on the Earth Stove so we could bath. LOL. Reminded me of the good old days living on the ranch in Montana. When I was real little we took baths in a washtub.:lmao: And that's the truth.

The weird thing is that when the power is out it is usually flooding outside.

we've got the windows open, the breeze is kicking through and man....you can hear the boats and jet skiers having a ball!!!!

Hi All.....going to see Stomp tonight at a local theatre. It would have to be the coldest day/night of the year.....gotta dress warm to be outside and then will sweat while in the theatre. Oh well!

My brother called. He's off the ship in Baltimore and down in Jacksonville, FL again for a month while he waits to get on another ship. He's got some business to take care of and his car is down there. He said he had the worst experience with Airtran getting from Baltimore to Jacksonville. At his plane change in Atlanta, he never got on the plane along with about 10 other people. He said that it was overcrowded and that they never called for them to board. What a nightmare. His luggage went on ahead without him. He called me to get him on another flight and I did, but what a waste of money for the two airline tickets. He finally got there around midnight. I'm glad I'm flying direct without any stops for our May trip.

Gotta go get in the shower now. Catch ya all tomorrow.
