Good Night !

This pic is from the Dec 9, 2006 Cruise. Me n Cap'n Jack. :thumbsup2

I am finally logged onto using Photobucket. It's much easier, heh heh. Look out now ! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rolleyes1

Ok, my dgs has a shool project that I could use help from some of you. They are studying maps and have a gingerbread man that has run away. His teacher would like people from all over to send in postcards saying that they saw him near their house. They will then locate and post where he was seen. If anybody is willing to send a postcard please let me know and I will pm you the address. They need the name of the city and state or country.

Happy to help. Let me know what to do.

Is that the Bobby that has a leaking problem? Did you have to make a lot of rest stops? We have Bobby's alter ego here in Oregon. He was just at Castaway Cay again on the Dec 8 Eastern Cruise. He ran away from Brack.

Yup, that's the one. It is not a big problem, I just give a couple Rescue Breaths when we have a photo op and he is good to go.

Well, V beat me home so she beat me to posting and I am waaay behind, but....got to meet V and the family tonight! I had a blast....this cruise is going to be so much fun! Her girls are as adorable in person as they look in their pictures! Thanks for meeting up with me V:cool1: and I enjoyed meeting the family as well...they didn't crash (think of how much "girl" time we'll have to find over the 15 days!!!!!)

OK, trying to skim and catch up so I am sure I am going to miss a lot...and I didn't multipost because my brain isn't working after 36 hrs of being up!

Angie and Dennis...great pics of you 2 and your mom. You all look fantastic!

All these travelling critters and such...man, could I just shrink down and join some of you on your travels. They look like they have so much fun.

Congrats to all that have paid in full. We are doing that next week as I wanted to wait until our CC closed for the month (oh sooooo bad of me, I know Suze would be ashamed, but hey, gives me another month to actually feel the pain of the $ leaving the account!)

Welcome to all new cruisers!

Back to skimming to see what else I have missed.

Oh, welcome back Lisa...you were missed. Glad it is somewhat worked out.

And, I know it has been asked...but has Noel been heard from yet?

don't like to post and run but by the time I catch up I have to go:confused3 DH is waiting for me to watch a movie...don't know which yet he got two and we'll just pick one to watch.

Oh and Nan we saw the Namesake the other night it was really good ,....not tonz of closure in the end but a very well made film...yes Indian film with some subtitles a little English in it too...good movie we liked it...we really started to feel like we knew some of the characters in it.

never heard of it, I'll have to keep my eyes open for it, thanks for the heads up. movie or dvd?

Do you currently use Airport? We were thinking of purchasing. Scary, but we have bought two other wireless routing systems and they are just WAY too confusing! We are not very techie at all. Is Airport as simple to install as all the reviews say? If so, we saw that there is a couple of options. Do you have any suggestions? Would the Airport Extreme be the best option? Help!!!

PJ may have already helped you with this, but I will put in my 2 cents anyway.

Yes, I use airport, but I have a slightly more complex setup than most. I have two airport base stations running (one newer one, and one older one - one is 802.11n and the other 802.11g), and an airport express. These two base stations are connected to a Belkin router, which is then connected to the internet. Our two laptops connect to the base stations, I also have Apple TV running and connecting to the n base station, and the computer in Sophia's room (older iMac) that did not have WiFi is connected via an airport express to the whole network.

The reason I am running both the old and new base stations is that some of my equipment connects at the slower g standard, and some at the newer n standard. If you just use the n base station, then everything runs at the slower g standard. This way the n devices connect to the n base station, and the g devices connect to the g base station, slowing no one down.

I have two printers connected to the base stations, along with a USB hub, and two hard drives using the airdisk feature of the new base station.

Anyhow . . . I listed all this to show you it can be as simple or as complicated as you might want it to be. Do you guys have laptops? Do you want to access the network wirelessly?

If I were starting all over, I would buy an airport extreme with the time capsule option, and the 1tb drive. If you are running Macs, they are very easy to set up, but it does take a little bit of skill - most of which is devoted to the connection with your ISP (especially if you use DSL) and protecting the network with security. If you decide to buy one and need any questions answered, I would be happy to help.

Well, not such a great time out tonight. Had lots of fun at my friend Cindy's apartment before heading to the bar, but the bar was way too rowdy, the music was too loud, it was the wrong kind of music for me, and it was too smoky. Just not my kind of place. From now on I'll stick with my weekly outing with co-workers to my favorite Mexican restaurant! :thumbsup2

Goodnight everybody! :grouphug:

Just got back from the hospital....12:30pm est. Frank is doing pretty good tonight. He was complaining a lot!! I told him to do the rehab...don't bled anymore..any we can take you home soon.

He used a walker and walked down the hall with me....first time in 8 weeks!!

Good night all!
Lisa
