We are still down as 'booked' on the DCL site though we paid in full a couple olf weeks ago.

So while we were in the waiting room for our psychologist appt. on Thursday, I said, "Tyler....come here, I have a secret to tell you!" He got all excited and came running to me. I told him "One of our fellow cruisers is a BANANA named Bobby and he's traveling the country visiting other passengers before the cruise. And...guess what? He's coming to visit us for a couple days really soon!" He started cracking up and ran over to his dad and said, "DAD! Guess what? There's a guy in a banana suit going on our cruise and he's coming to stay at our house!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You should have seen the look on his dad's face! :lmao: So I clarified, and he thought it was pretty funny too!

So Tyler's very excited about Bobby coming!

Too funny!!:lmao: Tyler is obviously not taken in with the Disney characters then?

Oh, he loves them all, but when he was 3, he said, "Mom they're just people wearing costumes." :sad2: The sad part of having a kid that's so logical.

...
All I get when I google my name is some woman who lived in the 1600's in Quebec...

I do get one reference to the real me. Just the web page for work.

But you've got Bedazzled underwear... what more could you want???

:lmao: And what more could a woman want?:rotfl:

Not mine... most of my family thinks I'm a Disney NUT... Well, yeah, I guess...:thumbsup2

I had two patients come in this week that I had not seen in a very, very long time. They just stopped in to say hello and ask about my Disney adventures! :lmao: :rolleyes1

Sorry I suddenly disappeared last night. My internet wasn't cooperating. First, my computer slowed to a crawl because updates were being downloaded. Then I lost my internet connection and was too tired to deal with it. This morning, my little computer is quicker than ever! :cool1: Unfortunately, I have to leave for work in 10 minutes.

Jan: I tried to respond to your PM, but it says your inbox is full. I just basically was going to let you know that the only answer I saw to your passport questions for Bobby was when Nan mentioned she thinks he's from somewhere in Central America, but I see now that you saw that post. For his last name, how about Dole, since that's on his front? :confused3

So he would be Bob Dole?!! :rotfl: :lmao: I think Bob Dole would enjoy the humor. I met him once, had my picture taken with him. What an incredibly nice man with a super sense of humor!!

I would love to know - on the ship, just how many people are repeat cruisers and how many are first timers....I bet not many first timers.

At the first night show (Welcome Aboard) they usually announce how many of each. You can always ask the Cruise Director (I wonder who we will have??) and she/he will tell you!!

On the 2005 Panama Canal cruises, we had high numbers of repeat cruisers. They knew to book on the first day.

If someone is not going to use their Palos dinner resssie can someone else use it?

Interesting question. I suppose one could book and then go to Palo the day of the scheduled dinner and say we can't make it, but this person would like to substitute. They might allow, or they might say the next person on the call list gets that ressie. :confused3 However, with 15 nights I am sure once on board you will be able to book a second night. Maybe some of the experience from 2005 can share if Palo double dipping was difficult.

even when I have booked direct with DCL my reservation only always said "booked" even after paying in full.

We paid several months ago, to take advantage of the $2.00/£1.00 exchange rates, but on DCL it still just says booked. On the Dreams reservation it shows we've paid in full, but not on DCL. And although we paid through Dreams, I believe the payment is actually taken direct by DCL because that's what it showed up as on the credit card statement.

Does anyone know if it should definitely change to something else on the DCL reservation? I don't want to wait until reservation time to find there's a problem. :scared1:

Our Dec just showed booked the entire time on DCL site. We were able to book at 90 days fine AND our DU agent was available by EMail at midnight when I was booking. I was having trouble and sent her an email fulling expecting to not hear back until Monday. She responded within minutes. The trouble was with DCL site, not my ressie.

did you guys read about the tax rebates (not sure that is what it is exactly) that Bush is supposed to be pushing today? There is a lot of talk on the Budget and Community Boards about it.

I hope the site is working that night. sometimes I can't get on in the morning here till later. That would be 3am EST for you.

Oh yes, I hadn't thought of that. What happens there?

You get Mickey Head rice crispy treats! :woohoo: And they give away some prizes,:yay: play an ice breaker game. I had heard bad reports about changes made, but we went in Dec and enjoyed it. :dance3:

Samantha was so excited this am...the Tooth Fairy left $10!! She put it in her cruise savings envelope and made sure to comment hers seemed much larger than Haley's!

Well I am sure we will go!!!

We went along to the DVC get together as we had just signed up the day before the cruise. We got a shoulder carry bag for being new members, a towel for answering a question in the quiz, and the gift that they leave in the stateroom for DVC members(log book)but of course we hadn't got. Plus a hat, lanyards etc.
