So, any of you kids watch Suze Orman on MSNBC? She has a segment on her show called "Can I Afford It?" and people call in and tell her what it is they want to buy and then provide their 'numbers' (income, savings, debt) and she approves or denies their purchase.


So I realized if I called in about this cruise, would she approve me?


The answer would be a resounding...




NO. (not a big enough savings account)




Would I let this stop me?


The answer is a big, resounding...



NO!

Don't anybody tell my niece, I just gave her a financal lecture a while back...

Heck, at my age sometimes you just need to grab for the gusto while you still can

Keep looking forward and if the Alanon mtg. you attend doesn't strike you at first, try another location until you feel comfortable. You'll know in your gut what is right. I am the posterwoman for "I can't afford it"! I looked at my year end paycheck and my deductions are more than net pay! I am in the red to begin with!
