I'm bumming the Golden Globes aren't going to be the normal show. I'm afraid the Academy awards will be cut down too!

(I know, I'm the only person left who likes these award shows...)

Nope, I watch every single one of them. I'm so bummed to. I watched part of the people's choice awards....it just wasn't the same. Not sure what to expect tonight, but I set it to record.

Has anyone flown on Frontier Airlines??? We can get a great price at a decent time flying with them but they are relatively new to CT and I am nervous flying someone other then Southwest because we haven't flown on anyone else before!

I'm loving the right click thing too!

We love Frontier!!
In fact I'm going to buy our tickets from them later today for our flight to Orlando.

I just reprinted all the excursions for John....we have only hit Cabo so far....of course he checked the sport fishing and zip line and Los Arcos cruise. (we are only talking on commercials from the game, go figure!)

Dennis thought the sport fishing sounded fun also. But we will probably just do a tour.

When are the Academy Awards on?

I think it's in February. they used to be in March but they moved them up a year or two ago. I would thinkg the nominations should be announced soon.

We saw Atonement today and I won't be surprised if it gets a couple of nominations. Very good film!

My DD and her husband even humour me and come over to join me, we have a nice dinner together first, then watch the entire show, preshows and all I usually try to see as many of the movies that are nominated as I can, I am way behind this year, but I'll still miss the show if it doesn't go on though.

At work, we hold a contest for the Oscars - everyone turns in a ballot with their guesses of the winners. Most winners win! It is fun. They post a ballot at the official website that you can print out. I did this once with my friends and then we watched the show together. It was fun to cross off the ones you get right/wrong. Sorry V....I wanted the Colts to win too. I had the game on but fell asleep too so I didn't see much of it. It looks like it was a great game though. Now I'm going to watch my giants lose.

We flew with Frontier from Denver to SFO and they were great! No complaints!

That sounds like fun We clip out an article printed in our newspaper every year showing the nominees from each category and guess ahead of time too, never made it a real contest with a prize before though. Maybe we will this year, IF the show gets to air

Usually the end of February. Grammy's are the end of March.

Last year we went over to our friends house. They have a "home theatre" and it was really awesome!

We did pre-ballots as well. Lobster and filet for dinner!!

I'll try to dig up the pics, can't believe it's almost been a year!

PJ, do you not see a lot of the movies so were just guessing, or were you just surprised you were right? I have a friend, who actually grew up close to Toronto, who goes to her sister's house in TO every year just to watch the Oscars. They make their guesses ahead of time and it is a real contest to see who wins. They have a rule though, they're not allowed to vote for an actor if they don't normally like that actor, so sometimes this means they know they will lose before the show even begins!
