We are looking forward to meeting everyone. It's just that Bobby is well travelled and has paparazzi following him to take his picture. He must have many interesting stories to tell. Is this the same Bob Dole that ran for President a few years back?

ha, not that banana. Our Bob, or Roberto as he is formally known as is not by any means in to politics. He actually couldn't be bother with something like community service. His life is about travel and enjoyment (his own) and then as a by product ours. Ok, he is the perfect polictian. VOTE FOR BOB. He a banana that can split the ticket     :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

How many are staying at WDW the night before? We should do a meet and greet party there too. We're at OKW, anyone else?

13 or so of us will be at Saratoga Springs Friday before the cruise.

13 Geeks will be at SSR the night before. We will get there early in the day, but no parks for us. Our AP's expire in March, and not going to renew at this time. We are going to chill at SSR and wait for the crew to arrive.

:woohoo: :woohoo: These two geeks will be arriving on the evening of the May 7! :woohoo:
MrsMork- you and drHug got me thinking what we were going to do for pirate night...so I ordered myself a POC shirt for pirate night:goodvibes I guess that and the bandanas they give will have to do for us:thumbsup2

DrHug dresses for pirate night...do you?:confused3 Any pics:goodvibes

I do dress for Pirate Night. DrHug should have a photo he could post.

My DH took me to see JAWS opening night - the night before my first open water dive....no wonder I took a 30 year hiatus!!!!!!
Try staying down the street from the house they used as the sheriffs house in the movie... One of the guys caught a small shark off the porch on the house and I havn't been back in the water up there ever since...

This was our house...

This is what was the Sheriffs house - they had to do alot of work on it and it's changed alot because of people coming to see the house because of the movie...

Do you mean the Emma Thompson/Hugh Grant one? ...or and older movie version?

Yup... bring tissues...

Yep. Goosebumps, along with a little mist in the eye.

Should have been there... I was... not a dry eye in the house...

Congratulations. I think they have a great chance against the Patriots.

I hope so... (Giants fan...)

Of course where I live...West of Albany NY... up here we are a bit torn because there are alot of fans of BOTH teams... but the Giants do their summer camp here so we do feel like they belong to us...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ok, now my friend wants to know what I am laughing about...how do I explain this?:confused3

Just like Mary Poppins...

"Let me make this perfect clear... I never explain anything..." ;)

Nan- are you still planning to go to the space shuttle Fri?

ya, I think so. Are you guys interested? I think we can get a shuttle. Paul brought back some info from when he was there, I just tossed it in the folder. Better look and see what it says, huh?

Deb, are your guys thinking of the space shuttle visit too?

As much as you want. I did $5,000 for our Med cruise as we had some very expensive excursions.

If you overpay, (I have done that as well) they just credit the extra back to your credit card you paid on.

I love getting off my vacation with no debt.

Med Excursions was very expensive. I look at Panama Canal Excursions!! and thought it is much better for prices! than Med!!

I thought Med Excursions was very expensive for us but it was worthing anyway. We glad that we went to Med Disney Cruise and saw the Europe. We know that it is expensive place.

. . . We are deaf family and one couple are deaf but they are good speaking anyway apart from our son Keith is only one hearing in the family. . .

Looking forward to meet you all.

Looking forward to meeting you as well.

On some prior Disney cruises, I saw sign language interpreters in the Walt Disney Theatre. They were at the front right, and they would reserve rows nearby for those who would benefit from the "signing." During stage shows, there would be a man and a woman signing the various parts.

You might consider asking DCL to provide signers, if you haven't already.

Howdy cruise-mates! Well, leave the house for a few hours and another zillion pages go by (still got at least 8 to read).

Hi everyone! Can someone please help with some answers? We have not received a room assignment yet (gty - paid in full), will we get a room assignment with our paperwork or sooner?

I have also seen reference to a website for this cruise with a password, can we gain access and how do we go about it?

Is anyone prepaying their tips? We have thought about it, would like to have as much paid for before the cruise, any thoughts.

Thanks,
Joseph

I'm not pre-paying tips, but I am 'allocating' some of my OBC for tips. I've got 600 smackers of OBC, plus some Disney Dollars and gift card money that will cover tips, excursions (once final decisions are made) and some Palo and drink of the day money. I just have to stay out of Shutters.

It's possible those of us with GTY won't know cabin numbers till a couple of weeks before the cruise....VERY frustrating!

Please tell Peg Happy Birthday from Bubba and I. I hope you both enjoy your day together. And let me know how you like the movie. And what was for lunch. ;) I love that she is like me and takes more then one day of birthday celebrations.

Enjoyed Mad Money (I love Queen L, I'd just love to hang out with her and also Sandra Bullock...you think we could get them on the ship and make them honorary Champagne Girls?). Lunch was at a place called Dish...sort of a gourmet food/wine shop with counter service dining area. Had lemon herb chicken, green beans with almonds and mashed potatoes (lumpy with skin...just how I like em). Peg had Margarita pizza. Both of us brought home leftovers. Oh, and there was some CHOCOLATE involved for desert. Was happy to see they had chocolate covered strawberries (guy said the almost always have some). So now I know where I can grab some to serve with Rosa Regale (which the DON'T sell--but there is a 'real' wine shop in the same area).

....back to catching up...as usual

Deb, are your guys thinking of the space shuttle visit too?

Hi

Anyway, my husband and I see it long times ago and now he want to go back with his son and David too. I think the hotel have shuttle to space. But Alison, Olivia and I stay at the hotel relax with swimming pool.

Deb, forgive me if I'm being intrusive, or just plain nosy, I mean no offense. But how different is BSL from ASL? is it like a different diction-'words' are the same but 'sound' or look slightly different or is it like a whole different language? :confused3 do you lip read? and if so, how do accents screw that up? I"m sorry, I'm nosy, but I'm fascinated with sign languag I think it's incredible to see .:goodvibes

Don't know if this has ben posted before, but thought you might like a chuckle.

Be advised Bobby is in a slight state of undress. :rotfl:

Too bad we can't this as part of the sailaway party. I suspect the Brand Name would get in the way though.

And a couple posts later someone else had the same idea - lol. That's what happens when you right click -lol

Welcome to all the new posters. This group is growing!! Cool

Hi Woody

Looking forward to meeting you.

Oh yes, I emailed to DCL for two an interpreters which we had them last Cruise at Med. Brian and Jennifer as they were brilliant. But DCL emailed and said cannot guarantee to have them. So we wait and see but we don't mind different interpeter people anyway. We had Tara and Tony last two years ago as they were brilliant too. I managed keep touch with Tara and I told her watch this space!!

I think DCL provides us very good like an interpreter, minicom in room, flashing light & door bell too!! We cannot believe that when we were on frist time at Wonder Cruise.

Scottishwee35:thumbsup2

Cameron just turned 10. Hope to see everyone there.

So Cameron's currently in the 4th grade, right? So is Ryan. Well, hope you guys can make it so the kids can meet up before the cruise...always helps to see a familiar face on the cruise!

We are very interested and planning on it...would be nice if other DISers were there though. I heard they do a nice job...a friend of mine said you could even do lunch with an astronaut and ask them questions...thought it would be fun for the DK and educational...now if there was an actual launch that weekend that would be:thumbsup2 I could always dream:cloud9: Some DCL cruisemates have been fortunate in the past seeing a launch as they sail away:goodvibes

Hopefully Tara and Tony will be available. I think DCL excels in accommodating passenger needs more than other cruise lines.

Cheers,
Woody

No problem

BSL is British Sign Languages - we use the sign with two hands.

ASL is Amercian Sign Languages - they use to sign with one hand. Amazing.

I find very difficult with one hand sign but had been learning from two interpreters which we had them last Med Cruise. They were so brilliant and they shared with us . We shared our signs to them, they gave us their signs. They know how to use two hands signs too.

At the show, they were so fantastic. Last day at the show, everybody was clapping at them when they walked in.

I can speaking but not very clearly as my friend David and Alison are good speaking too but not my husband cannot speak very well.

I mean, the world, every country have different signs too. England and Scotland have different signs too.

well - I got the maxed out merit! It's well above budget, which we rarely do. So I am thrilled! (not so much I will really see a difference in my paycheck though)

Congrats!! All that hard work pays off sometime....
