Well, we have to head out for church, so I'll check back later after Tyler's in bed tonight.

Deb: I'm glad you and John enjoyed Stomp! :goodvibes

JULIE! So glad you're back! Everybody always wondered where you were. Sorry Estrella was sick, but hope she's getting better and better! :yay:

It's ok Angie, you were catching my vibe because John really wanted to see Riverdance but we never got there so when Stomp came, I jumped on it to get tickets for him. So I can understand how you could mix them up.

You are so sweet! ;)

Sadly, no. They wanted to charge $170 to do it here. So, I spent 3 hours doing it myself. I then did a 20 minute workout on it.
:scared1:

We're scoreless, first quarter.

Anyway. I need to write a new Country Song. "She Was Hooked to the Zipline of My Heart"
:lmao: :lmao:

We are meeting my SIL and MIL (they have Sophia with them) for dinner tonight at a favorite Greek restaurant, Papa Gyros (pronounced yeeros for the non-Greeks out there).

My SIL wanted to take us to dinner because she got a good promotion at her job at the University of Toledo where she works in a capacity for the residence halls for the college.

Love the chance to have that Greek food, especially now that I don't get it very much with mom gone.
YUM!

Even the platforms you land on don't look safe there!! I really don't know. I half fancy it but then again. Plus I am old too!!! Plus....I must think of some other excuses!!!:rotfl:

Marilyn, you can't be too old, I am giving it some serious thought and I am older than you are.

We saw you on the snorkeling excursion at St. Thomas with your friends who decided not to cruise the PC. Did Chewy Too and Sadie go snorkeling? or stay in one of the Clubs? Sorry I missed them.

Maybe there needs to be a MASCOT MEET on board the ship.
 :tinker: pooh: ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo :eeyore: :figment: :dogdance: :butterfly :clown: party:
What a photo op that would be:thumbsup2 All the MASCOTS sitting around a table playing cards, or viewing the scenery or resting on deck chairs..... The possibilities are endless:cool1:

Jan :earsgirl:

Chewy and Sadie stayed in the Oceaneer's Club that day. Chewy has his own snorkeling outfit and has been snorkeling on CC but Sadie hasn't gotten one yet. Hope to get her one before the cruise. :lmao:

I, too, think a MASCOT MEET would be a great idea. Especially since there are so many on this cruise. The pictures would be great and just from my own experience the cast members would love it.

Ken (Kpros) made them. He made all of them for the B2B, so I think he had to quit his day job to get them all done before the cruise. :rotfl:

We could easily replicate them with our own style. I'd be happy to do it unless there is someone who already has it planned out. I think I may have read that someone is already assigned to this duty????

Ken made ours for the 11 night Southern Caribbean cruise. They were great. Several of us volunteered to help pay for them and he handed them out at the port and then at the meet. I am sure it was a lot of work, though, to make the tags. I think we should be able to make our own with a template.

Bobby has a trip report that you know the address of? Can? Should? the pictures of Bobby in Indianapolis be posted there? Under the psuedonym of BAD BOBBY or just Bobby? If it is as Bobby, no one needs to know that he has a body double, right?

Jan :earsgirl:

If you look at the TR, in one photo you can see both Bobby and his evil twin playing with 2 little girls. However, it is hard to tell now who is good and who is the evil twin since Evil Bobby has now started attending church and seems to be behaving himself quite well on his travels. :lmao:

Yes, I plan on him doing some work for me one day. :thumbsup2 One of the attorneys here wears a different tie every day, always with some cartoon character on it. Yup, he has enough to wear a different one every day of the year! Anyway, I saw him yesterday with a Mickey head tie, so I'm going to ask him if he can bring it in for Bobby to wear while at the office.

Great plan!

Jan :earsgirl:

Maybe Ken could quit his day job and start contracting to make landyards and name tags for the cruises!

A very good idea!

Hey, we just decided do this run this past Thursday. We are both very excited, we haven't ever done anything like this before. We started hitting Lifetime more often recently as we are trying to get in better shape as we age. We thought the Half Marathon would be a perfect goal to set. Ken made these for the 11 night Southern too!

Well it looks like we already have our post cruise dis meet for Labor day weekend.

How do I find the TR?
Once I find it, shall I post pictures there of an Indy jaunt?

Just thought I would show you what DH and I have been doing this weekend. this was our old Disney Room and it is now our main guest room since we turned the bigger room into our Disney Room.

Well, I certainly plan on trying, but I have no idea if he'll hold out. The latest he's ever stayed up is maybe 10 and that was really difficult to keep him up. The main problem on vacation is how he freaks out with change, and now that I'm learning more about his issues, I see why he never wanted to be in the kids' clubs more than an hour a day and had many, many breakdowns on every single cruise. But I'll sure try! That was definitely the type of cruise I'd planned on having before he ended up joining me.

Hopefully you will be able to get him on meds and stabilized before May and this cruise will be very, very different for both of you!

So while we were in the waiting room for our psychologist appt. on Thursday, I said, "Tyler....come here, I have a secret to tell you!" He got all excited and came running to me. I told him "One of our fellow cruisers is a BANANA named Bobby and he's traveling the country visiting other passengers before the cruise. And...guess what? He's coming to visit us for a couple days really soon!" He started cracking up and ran over to his dad and said, "DAD! Guess what? There's a guy in a banana suit going on our cruise and he's coming to stay at our house!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You should have seen the look on his dad's face! :lmao: So I clarified, and he thought it was pretty funny too!

So Tyler's very excited about Bobby coming!

GREAT!!!
I am planning to get him to the "plane" on Tuesday!

I tried to find where I had last read and gave up about 15 pages back. .....

I keep a notebook on the laptop and when I have to leave, I write down the page number and post number. I have different pages for the threads I am subscribed to so I can jump in and catch up when I have time.

Thanks, and you're right it is all about why do we say no. The get answers as simple as "your liver and frontal lobes of your brain aren't ready to process alcohol" It's not because we said so, or that we don't like you! I love teaching 5th grade. 5th and 6th is my specialty. Are you a doctor/physician Dr. HUG?

He is a pharmacist. Got his PharmD at USC. :cheer2: Fight ON!! He talked to the kids about what the chemicals do once in your body. He was a little  at the honesty of some of the kids...."my Dad smokes MJ" etc....and the questions they asked. Good day for him and the Newberg Schools.

Some of you might remember when I was first talking about changing this room into our Disney room. Thought I would let you see how it turned out.

Most of the clutter is my Disney collection. My sewing machine is in here too and unfortunately so is everything from the bedroom we are painting. My DH said we had to get the bedroom painted so that I could get sewing again. He's right. Should be done before the end of the week.

A guy named Ken. I don't want to put his last name on here. I agree with Kelly - they were the best ones I ever had. The lanyards were very light and nor scratchy at all. The name tags were also the same as the magnets he gave people. Wish he was on this cruise!

We thought it was Ken, but not sure. We sailed with him and his beautiful wife on the 10 day in 2004. Super, super people. We have remained friends.

Oh, he loves them all, but when he was 3, he said, "Mom they're just people wearing costumes." :sad2: The sad part of having a kid that's so logical.

I think it is exciting and challenging to have a kid like that. (I had two, so been there, done that.)

I found it always interesting to see what they would come up with, how they figured things out, what good problem solvers they were and still are, etc.

We made sure they understood that the Characters, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Santa, et.al. are a PRETEND that EVERYONE likes to pretend. That got them on board in a mature way that they could accept.

Since we taught them that Christmas and Easter were about Jesus, they put their focus there but accepted other people's need and desire to have Santa and the Easter Bunny.
