Bobby and I drove to Valparaiso today for a funeral, 2 1/2 hours each way. We stopped to see the Monon Connection, a Railroad Museum just north of Monon, Indiana. Amazing collection of old RR cars and signs set up on real track and a cute little restaurant.

Bobby hardly stood still, he was running all over the place. He was hard to keep up with, and harder yet to understand with that Columbian's accent of his. People did not know what to make of his utterances and I had a hard time translating everything. He is easier to understand when he is not excited. He and Tyler will have a ball and give Holly a "run" for her money.

Is that the Bobby that has a leaking problem? Did you have to make a lot of rest stops? We have Bobby's alter ego here in Oregon. He was just at Castaway Cay again on the Dec 8 Eastern Cruise. He ran away from Brack.

Samantha was so excited this am...the Tooth Fairy left $10!! She put it in her cruise savings envelope and made sure to comment hers seemed much larger than Haley's!

Well I'm home sick today. Really didn't want to do it as I'm hoarding vacation time but at least it's a holiday weekend so I get an extra day to help recover. Wicked head cold with a nice barking cough! I went to work yesterday but only made it 6 hours - haven't slept well the past 2 nights.

I'm drinking plenty of liquids and taking robitussin hopefully it's enough as I'm pretty sure antibiotics aren't needed.

At least I can post today - at work I can read but not post gets pretty frustrating, I come home from work with page & post numbers I want to respond to.

We got our DCL confirmation from TA this morning showing Balance Due $0!

Holly you deserve to treat yourself to a couple of nice outfits it will make you feel good and motivate you...you deserve it. BTW I'm not one that likes clothes shopping, makeup, or heels either

I have fianally figured out that Frank is your FIL. Took me awhile Duh. At first I thought he was your DH and then looked at your ticker.
You so need this trip, with all the caring you are doing for your family. You definately need some time to get way and focus on you.

I have been lurking but not posting - so it is time to come out of the closet and join the fun. as we will be joining the cruise. assuming that is, I pay the TA for the balance. Like that is not going to happen

I know this will have been posted several times multiple pages back, but with the dates approaching, EXCURSION planning is on my mind.

Do we have any scuba divers in this bunch? Care to share comments on ports?

Dead quiet here at work now....don't know why they just didn't let us go home early Oh well, I'd still be sitting her DISing anyway. Laptop supposed to be picked up by me DBil today, can't wait to pick it up!

I think I'm going to an $5 AM movie every morning Sa/Su/Mon....I'm having a hard time spending the $9 a daytime movie costs now...really have to get 'pickey' about what I'll spend my money on. The new Indiana Jones movie comes out while we are cruising...wish they had that on the ship too.

Love the AM $5 movies at Desert Ridge maybe we'll see you there this weekend

This pirate is not DrHug. That would be Brack, who sailed with us again and brought Bobby to hand off. DrHug does make an excellent pirate too though! I'll have to get a photo.

don't like to post and run but by the time I catch up I have to go DH is waiting for me to watch a movie...don't know which yet he got two and we'll just pick one to watch.


Oh and Nan we saw the Namesake the other night it was really good ,....not tonz of closure in the end but a very well made film...yes Indian film with some subtitles a little English in it too...good movie we liked it...we really started to feel like we knew some of the characters in it.

It's amazing how great people look when they dress up for pirate night...we'll be lucky to just be wearing some pirate shirt or something...maybe just the bandanas they give you
