Personally, I doubt you offended anyone! We all know it's in good fun and every college has an annoying reputation of some kind...everyone loves to pick on USC! Hey I went to UC Irvine and our mascot is an ANTEATER, talk about having something to pick on!!! (I hate to pick on my own alma mater, but how lame of a mascot is that....proof positive they wanted to keep the school more academic than athletic, imagine rooting for the Anteater football team?! :scared1: :sad2: :lmao: )

We used to live in Monterey and there was a California school that had the Banana Slug as a mascot. I'ld take an anteater over a slug any day.

Anyway, threw my DD in the cart at Target, RAN (yes ran through the store in high heels) and got back there just in time to snag the LAST Wii!!!! :thumbsup2 So, stress is over. We have the Wii for the bingo night and I can now focus all my energy on dreaming of disney!! :woohoo:

Congratulations! Now you can de-stress!

We'll be training at Topsiders for the Palo Marathon. :lmao:

Love that! I'm in!!! :thumbsup2

Those are cute. Someone needs to come up with something for us older kids.

I just got a newletters email from the company and they indicated later this month they'll have a pirate themed one....that might work for us "older kids"....

I forgot about that....I pretty sure that's UC Santa Cruz! What's interesting is they're the only college in the UC system that doesn't give grades out....they give "comments". Not sure how you get into a college for an advanced degree without a GPA? :confused3 Somehow, the banana slug goes right in line with the "comment" instead of grades thinking.....

As you guys know, I am on EB and WB. The EB website was "broken into" by this group called . As best I can tell, they are DIS people who have been banned from DIS. There was viruses sent out and I am not too sure of what else went on. Well, they must have gotten my e-mail address off of that site, as I got the following e-mail.....kinda of Yucky:confused3

It is very sad they have to advertise for members.

Censorship? Being treated like a child and being told what you can and cannot say? Is LBGraves more than a little overbearing as she roars what topics and subjects are allowed and which are not?

Sound like a typical day on the DIS?

Why not join a group of like-minded DCL cruisers that will actually value your independent thinking? That will actually speak up for your right to have your own thoughts and express your own feelings without fear of total censorship.

(the stars are the website for the group)

You just might find freedom of expression is more than a little bit addictive
!

This is so sad. They are adults aren't they :rolleyes1

We are well behaved here.

For the MD contingency - I used to live in Montgomery Village (right off Montgomery Village Ave). I loved it there....but like FL better. My sister lives in Columbia.

Before we transferred to Arizona, we spent a year in Upper Marlboro, MD while Leslie was stationed at Andrews AFB.

Shawn spent two semesters at University of Maryland, but will always be a DUCK!

Okay when it was all said and done we did get 3 inches of snow....it got so cold last night (5 degrees regular..no wind chill) that everything froze. Then this morning, 5am, we had fog. The news was saying FROZEN FOG WARNING....I don't even know what that is. I was imagining a great big block of ice I had to walk though outside. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Streets all had black ice...schools 2 hour delay. Side walks are dangerous because of the ice....

The sun is shining brightly and I have heard rumors that we will get to 70 degrees next week. I can not wait!!!

We ended up with 2 inches of snow, and also got the frozen fog warning.

However the fog never materialized. DH and I really wanted to see it. We kept imagining little ice crystals suspened in air. You would think the frozen fog would be to heavy to float around. Weird

Have any of you west coasters ever taken a quick Baja cruise? I know I should ask this on the other thread but I don't feel like it.:rotfl: If so with who? I am just trying to get a quick fix for having to wait so long until the real deal. I was thinking October. Both DD's will have a week off of school.

I have not done this before. I got it as a tip from another thread. Said that the coffee actually stays quite warm in the carafe it is brought in.:confused3
Maybe I should order one night before bed during the trip and see how it works.

Venetiaprincess:

We've done this and it was quite warm.

Love the pirate idea.

Comment instead of a grade, sounds slimy. :lmao:
(sorry i couldn't resist)

I did the Mexican Rivera on Celebrity in December but that is a one week cruise. Had a blast!!

:surfweb:

Heck, if I win the lottery, I won't have a house to decorate because I'll be living on the Magic!!!!! :rotfl2:

Have you read those articles about how it's as cheap or cheaper to live on a cruise ship than in an assisted living situation? THAT'S my ultimate retirement plan!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'll be 52 this year and celebrating at WDW this year. :cool1: I think all birthdays after 50 should be celebrated with Disney. It makes us feel young again. :cutie:

15 more days until Birthday cake.

GREAT IDEA! I'll be at DL the day before my birthday this year (58) and on the cruise on my birthday next year (50)! I think a precedent is being set!:thumbsup2

First three pillowcase designs are on the photos page of the website. If anyone has designs they would like to post please let me know. Or graphics or name(s) they could like incorporated into those posted also let me know.
