Get out!!! Both my kids are on F.A.S.T.!! We opted out of that meet. Good thing, too, because DS was sick all weekend (still sounds icky, but at least the fever's gone!). (And, we were really glad not to go to the Escondido meet...sounded painfully cold!)

Small World! My girls are on RSD! It was a good meet. Both kids got new PR's. Escondido was brutal! The kids were ok since the pool water was warm (too warm actually for the longer events), but it was definitely wicked cold! Will you be going to JO? We weren't planning on it (my kids just aren't that fast), but found out yesterday DD12 is on the JO relay team. Glad DS's fever is gone. Hope the ickies go away soon too.

I said if we wanted to do one in the summer, I could host it in Walnut Creek at the school I work at. They let us use the facilities for private events.
Keep it in mind as we get closer to the summer. I won't have anything to scrap until my med cruise this summer. I will be caught up in taylors book this may at national scrapbook day.

Loved the Quite Cove! Great for coffee drinks all day, computers with internet access, (very slow though,) excellent wines and mixed drinks and a big screen TV with headphones for watching CNN, etc. which we unfortunately were watching Hurricane Katrina ravage the gulf coast during our Eastboung Repo.

One of our favorite "barristas", Bettina, was in the picture with the HUGE Martooni!

Speaking of American Idol, who thinks that Paula has had her share of DOD?? Strange the other day how she just left half way through after keep jumping in and out of her chair and then tonight it seemed she was slurring just a little. Who knows - all the media probably influences what we see. Lisa

Lisa-I'm so glad you brought that up! DH and I were watching (the other day) and we looked at each other and said she was high as a kite on something. She was so goofy and weird and then she was gone leaving Simon and Randy alone. Interesting.....

Bring books to leave and DOD while doing laundry!!! I like those ideas!!!

Love the book idea and the DOD idea. Not too big on the laundrey idea!

I think I'll still stick with bringing way too many clothes, and utulizing the laundrey and cleaning service from the room!

Actually, now that I've read some more posts and tips about the laundry onboard, I think I'll go with sending it out to be done. I avoid doing laundry on vacations at all cost. (Heck, I avoid doing laundry at home). You should have seen me in Austria asking the owner of our bed-and-breakfast where I could take my laundry. Between the language barrier (yes, I am one of those terrible Americans who travels around Europe not knowing any of the language) and my apparent dread of figuring out a laundrymat in a foreign country, she took complete pity on me. She told me to leave it in the room and the maid would do it. It was cheap, too.

Bet you wish you could bring her home with you! I'm not fond of laundrey, but I really will avoid ironing at all costs. Can you say loath?

I will try and do summary posts every day. Next week if work doesn't make me TOOO crazy, I will log the summaries and then work with Pj and see if we can make a week in review summary on the new webpage. That way if you miss a week or two, you can just catch the summaries!!! So bear with us, we are trying to make this a non threatening, didn't study for that pop quiz, type of board!!! Because, we have heard rumors, that some of you have lives and are not here 24/7!!!

Make that, "had lives"! Since my husband showed me this I have been hooked every night! I am a late bird, so I am usually on late and get caught up while I watch the news, AND Leno/Letterman, AND whatever I have taped earlier in the day...

Just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who is working on projects for our cruise you are great!!! It is lovely getting to know all of you who will be there too. I can't believe I have come accross this group and I know you are going to make the cruise a great experience, and the months before more than bearable!!

It seems as if there are two mornings, or rather, evenings, where people sleep out. I understand the canal thing, since me and DH will be in an inside stateroom and won't be able to see anything, but what was the picture with everybody sleeping outside the store? Don't they give enough pins for everyone? Please enlighten me to both things.

This is so awesome. I think on you POST 1 you should add where to find the summaries. Like this one is Page 209 Post 3130.

Maybe we should take volunteers to summarize by the 500 posts. Like 3,000 to 3,500....and then 3,500 to 4,000. It is a lot of work for one person.....if we waqnt our familes to eat and have clothes to wear

Since I am talking to myself this morning.....

Fairfax Co VA closed schools today. We had about 3 inches of snow overnight. I think the problem is ice. As the roads melt, it is so cold here (12 degrees) they just re-freeze and it is very slippery.

Washington DC has never been known for its residents ability to drive in the snow....residents come and go here all the time.

And, I am not a super scrapbooker...just a lousy picture taker! I am also doing just my daughter. At my scrapbook day last week, one of the ladies told me since I was so caught up, I should start a scrapbook of my pics...uh no! I don't need to do one of my 20's...those pictures will stay hidden! HA!
I am just happy to be able to plan for my next one of our med cruise this summer. I already have the album, now I just have to remember taking my camera out..not just with me on the ship.
