I read on here the other night that WDW started a room only sale for when we will be there. I don't have a place to stay yet.....so I have been looking. I loved Boardwalk .... Grand Flordian is sold out......where should I stay??

A Tale of Tails Part Dix

I am happy to say that the black vests and bow ties arrived today. So, the ensembles (for the moment) are complete, the tails, white dinner jackets, etc.

I'm glad I started this a few weeks ago.

In spite of all of this, I am very happy with the tails and the rest of the clothing.

The entire effect is still not yet complete. A few other accouterments are arriving over the next couple of weeks.

Waiting on Michelle, because another piece of the ensemble might be ordered ....

Bag and Baggage

I received the eBag packing cubes. Their eBags own brand and they seem well made, come in sets of 3 and are quite a bit cheaper than the Eagle Creek ones.

I also received a Fold It from eBags. I ordered a discontinued color, so it had quite a bit knocked off the price.

Cars

Tomorrow, I am test driving some Toyotas, just to settle my mind about the Smart Car.

I made an appointment for the test drives and already they started to pressure me. Apparently there will be some galactic cataclysm if don't act immediately and prices will never be so low ever again, nor will there ever be another car on the planet earth, the sun will never rise, and worst of all, I just won't be popular.

I reinforced that I am shopping and about 8 months away from actually purchasing a car, and that I will take my chances that car costs will sky rocket out of my price range, and I'll just have to walk everyplace for the rest of my life.

The test drive appointment is at 9:00 AM.

The Smart dealer is about 3 blocks away from the Toyota dealer, so I may walk over and put myself on their secondary waiting list for an orphan.

I have a reservation on a car, but I expect it to be many many many months before I come up on the list for the Chicagoland area.

Oh I don't like to wake up at 5:00 but it's ok to still be awake at 5:00.

Depends on if your still having fun from the night before!!

On our recent Las Vegas trip, Mrs. Woody and I went to the hotel's fitness center at 6:00 a.m.

Afterward, we got into the elevator to return to our room. In the elevator was a young man who was wearing clothes from the night before. It looked like he could use some coffee. Maybe two pots.

I'm renting Hertz, which is at the Long Beach Airport. DH will take a taxi (they said they would reimburse the cost of the taxi, I think up to $15). He will then come back with van and pick us up.

I'm starting to get nervous if all our luggage will fit in the van. We might need to figure out if you can get a luggage trailer!

I don't think so. But I suppose I should give that some thought. I think we could perhaps call one as soon as we dock?

If DH flies home in ACA, he will take a one-way flight on Sunday morning to Long Beach and pick up the van and meet us at the port. That way I don't have to manage all 4 boys on my own.

We are really hoping he doesn't have to do that as it seems such a shame to spend on this money for us all to go, and then for him to miss a week of it...it would be sad but I'm getting prepared for it so I won't be too disappointed. As Nan would probably point out, should look at this has half full cup as it wasn't too long ago we weren't going to enjoy any of it.

Feeling a bit tired...should do some housework or something but just can't seem to do anything. Tried on a couple of the captain suits to see what still fits the boys...and then started to wonder where they 8x10 photos are from the last cruise. Have NO idea. I hate that! I'd like to scan them and post it. I can't even picture where I would have put them.....I have the 6x8 ones handy - they are in the album. Lisa

you know it's funny, I wanted boys.....I figured they would be sooo much easier.... they probably would have been. I could not imagine my life without them. And yes, the clothes!!

quick note before I go back to read the 20 pages I'm behind.

I am sooooooooo glad this work week is over! Tomorrow I take my car in for new tires and oil change......being worked on while I spend time and $ at the Scrapbook Expo at the Orlando Convention Center

I got my Lowepro Compubag today...cool!

Have fun at the Expo - ours isn't until Labor Day weekend this year. It used to be in June.

Daniel's best friend who is a girl....just found out she got into University of VA. She had a 4.2 GPA and was wait listed at Willaim and Mary...can you imagine??

Well UVA is closer to TECH than W & M is....so I am happy!!

I think one day they will get married...they have been such good friends for years. Daniel took her to the Prom....maybe she will ask him to take her to her Prom.
