They don't always. I recommend just keeping an eye on your flights.

I noticed recently that our flight is now showing an arrival time 30 minutes earlier than when we booked. Departure time is the same though, as is the aircraft. :confused3

Maybe the Atlantic has become smaller? :rotfl:

I forgot about this too:rolleyes1 Did anyone ever answer about how much to tip room service? I thought they automatically included their 20% or so or we tipped at the end of the cruise as we do the room attendant and wait staff:confused3

Someone else has probably already answered, but.... there is no charge for room service, so nothing to base a 20% charge on. Also, different people bring it, so there is not one specific person you could tip at the end. They do bring a ticket that you can put the tip on and charge to your room if you want rather than having dollars handy.

Maybe they expect the tail wind to be stronger :lmao:

Good morning everyone. Does anyone know the number to call to have someone sit at your table? I lost my book and the only number on the site is a reservation #.

Angie-Hope your feeling better soon...I haven't seen you or Dr. Hug on the dis much today.

DrHug has always been very sporatic on the DIS. He will spend an entire day here being just silly,:surfweb: :rotfl: then won't be on for quite awhile. :confused3 He is feeling a bit punk this morning, so he decided he will not go to work. He's nervous that he may be coming down with what I had since his stomach is upset. I don't mind that he is staying home with me. :lovestruc

Good to get there earlier though!!:)

Which seats did you decide on for travelling home? We got the first two on right looking on plam 2k and 3Kk I think. I don't think it is going to be as nice an experience as the Manchester config is - looks much tighter.

I didn't order room service on our last cruise. How long does it take to get..that might be a good idea for the morning......

We did use it several times for breakfast on early port days when our DGS sailed with us. He was 6 at the time and is a slow moving in the morning kid, so cereal and breads with juice in the room worked well for us when we needed to be at an excursion meeting place early. You order it the night before and mark what time you want it delivered.

Goodmorning all, Very busy work day here.... So, a quick comment and off to work.

Absolutely love this picture!

Alpha Dog - this is a true story about jesse James Hollywood, the youngest guy wanted by the FBI. sharon Stone, Bruce Willis, Alan Thicke, alot of people are in this movie.

We were teaching in Santa Barbara when this happened in real life and it was just terrible - we were so worried that the kids were our students - that wouldn't be good for business.

It was a hard choice with my DD and I still don't know if I made the right decision...she's been reading for a year and a half and she starts kinder in the fall.:confused3 We just put her in the elementary preschool that is mostly just play but at least she's learning spanish(its a full immersion program) and I notice she started regressing and getting lazy so now I'm starting to have her read books to me again girls mature faster than boys and she is the youngest so use to being around an older sibling so I thought she was ready. I had her tested and she didn't pass she counted to 69 they said her math was at prek level she nailed the book they handed her to read yet they said her reading was at prek level:confused3 I found out later that teacher didn't pass anyone... the school is so overcrowded they had to add a fifth kinder teacher. My DD goes with the flow so she would have been fine in either scenerio but I don't want her to get lazy and want her to be challenged...we'll see....

This does NOT sound right! I've been so heavily involved with researching schools and understanding the details of the different testing (also just finished a class in psych testing) and this doesn't sound right to me. Have you checked your private schools? She may thrive in a private school better than the public. Our public said they couldn't accommodate my DD at all until 3rd grade!:scared1: What will she do all day twiddle her thumbs?

The last one is very similar to the egg my DH bought for me. Yum! :)

Thanks for the pics! I love those. :cutie:

Unfortunately this situtation doesn't get much better for kids that are on the top end until they are in much higher grades or have GREAT teachers that can give them extra attention or harder lessons than the rest. This has been the plight for us with Wilson. This year in 2nd grade he has gotten teachers that will work to give him harder work. But even with that he still is bored out of his mind with the mundane stuff that goes on in his class. I keep telling him that he will get out of school what he puts into it. Some days that works other days he is a normal 2nd grader with emotions of the same.

Ethan is in 2nd grade too. How old is Wilson? Ethan will be eight. Ethan is not interested in school but the teachers say he is smart. Homework used to be a nightmare but it has gotten a lot easier now that I let him play for a few hours before he does it. I used to make him do it right after school but he would get mad and take forever to do it. Finally, my DH told me wait until he got home to do it and he never gave us one bit of grief after that. He still says he hates school every morning when I wake him up. I have to threaten Brooke with school because she loves it so much. I guess we are all truly different!

We are running into a few issues w/ PM Addresses.....

Carol & Bob from Milwaukee - can you let me know your DIS name?? We have it down as Carob1 and nothing is coming up.

Thanks!

DEB and I LOVE room service for breakfast on our last cruise we ordered every morning for the first four days on the fourth day we wanted to do the character breakfast, well just as we were about to leave for parrot cay the phone rings and the CM asks "is everything OK and did we want our breakfast brought up":rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

yes we always tip CM who brings it up, only fare right.:thumbsup2

Go ahead and call the res line---they can link your reservation w/ the other one

I love room service for breakfast....DH likes a nice hot sit down meal though. I find room service helps you get out and about earlier too.

mousefaninque.......can you add any UF Gators to Haley's basketball picture?

a) I'd need the original pic again as I deleted it when I was done.
b) you would have to tell me what the UF Gators are
c) assuming they are basketball players I would need some pics of them

Quick post, and then tomorrow I'll try to download the photos.

Telling the kids was just great. As we were walking up to the door (and the treasure map was taped to the door), my eldest said "this was the best Easter ever." I just smiled to myself as I knew it was going to get a LOT better!!!:lmao:

So they walk up to the door and examine the map, start questioning what it is. One son says "oh the Easter bunny must have left us eggs here." My eldest said "of course not - a bunny couldn't write a map like this with his big hands." :rotfl:

So they find the treasure chest, and just love it. They thought it really was from Mickey and the Easter bunny for awhile. It was so cute. My second to youngest still believes that it is from Mickey and Captain Hook. The older two know it is from us (for the reasons I posted earlier). It was just beautiful. They are so excited. They spent a lot of times looking over all the stuff in the treasure chest. I got some photos of them all holding their passports. They are in heaven!

Lisa
Aw Lisa, thanks for sharing that wonderful moment with us! I can't wait to see pics of their smiling faces! :)

We take a stash of $2.00 bills to use for tip money - for the occasional request. We have never had a real meal delivered - however....

Is there a way to find out the movies they will show on the ship?
This is from the FAQ on the Disboards

What movies will be playing on our voyage? You can call 888-325-2500, choose the reservations option, then ask what movies will be showing the week you cruise.

....someone posted a potential list a while ago...I wonder if it is on page 1 of the thread?

I'll go look...
