LADIES I already said I will bring the Champagne on no worries. Yes I am lugging many big bags around since I cannot ship stuff to port...... BUT I have limo service for every leg of the trip and I will never be burdened with my bags so taking some champagne onboard is not a big deal to me. :thumbsup2

Marr, you're still serious about this? You can do this? You are remarkable. Ten million thanks. OK Champagne Girls......Let's have us a P-A-R-T-Y!!! Whooooo Hoooooooo!!!

Gaylean, she is beautiful. And her hair is too!!! You said it grows quickly? I'm afraid Molly's is slow growing, I don't suspect we will see long hair on her for a long time to come...

It will grow much faster now that it is cut I swear it sound goofy when people say that but J cuts hers every year and it does come back!

Goodmorning all,
Well a lot to get caught up on this morning - it took me hours, plus I had dozens of PMs about the lanyards. Will post again just to make sure.

Here is our long story from this past weekend. Our girls wanted to have their ears pierced right before the Western cruise we did this past October.... but Kayla is so happy.
Ughhh . . . the ear piercing.
Sophia is still wearing the original pair she got when they were first pierced. We tried to take them out once so she could wear new ones - after much crying we got them out - but no new ones in. She then wanted them back in that night, but too afraid to do it. We went back and forth for like an hour.
Finally . . . I practically sat on her (yes call child protective services) while Amy put them back in and she carried on. She will probably wear them to her wedding. I'm not touching those things again!
Heck I have thought about getting my nose done before! I have had piercings other then my ears. Things hurt for a but like ears but in a few minutes it is done.

OK, I had my ears pierced when I was in 5th grade and they just got infected no matter what I did. Tried it again in 7th grade... still didn't work.
Flash forward about 30 years. After going through some painful testing while trying to get pregnant I decided I could endure the pain of doing it again. I was 39 and the paperwork said, "check this - I am NOT pregnant at this time." A week later I found out I was pregnant, this time it was a success. on both counts! Now I hunt for cute Mickey earrings.

I think you meant this one, right???

Ahh yes she is very cute but really save the short cut til they ask for it. I did and now mine is over it and knows what she likes best for her.

It's a trade off as to whether I carry more camera gear or books when I travel (clothes? who has room for them?). I'm willing to act as a central trading location for books for those who also read on vacation.
I usually have mystery stories, adventure stories and sci-fi, depending on what I find. I also tend to leave a trail of paperback books behind me when I travel. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hey Susie, we are having a book drop at our door too.

Woody,

Interested in knowing more about why you find the cubes useful. How do you use them?
I'm not Woody but we use them every trip we take. They come with a folding board and if you use the board you can get about twice the clothes in the cube that you could normally get in. You compress the clothes when you close the cube. They stay wrinkle free because they don't slide around the suitcase.
I have new Sydney pics to share....:lovestruc :cutie:

Cute pixs!

My tivo will be holding a ton of stuff for me to watch, but I won't be tivoing ellen or the view so I have enough space for the nightly shows. I don't want to miss the season finales..then I'll be lost!

Last year, we were missing the ends of several shows and sure enough we read about it in the daily news that is put under the door. So, even though we were TIVOing we found out the results by accident.

It is done!!!!

Some clothing questions.

John is going to rent a tux and bring his suit. The shoes he normally wears with his suit are the type of leather that doesn't shine however long you buff them, so I presume he would need to rent the tux shoes. Will he still need to bring his normal black shoes for his suit? If I can get him to buy some black, more shiny(but not patent:eek: ) shoes, would these do for the tux so he wouldn't have to rent those? He does have problems with shoes fitting.

Dennis wears his usual black dress shoes when he rents the tux. His poor feet are just beaten up from years of standing in a pharmacy and the rented ones just hurt him too much. No one has ever pointed at his black dress shoes with the tux and laughed so I guess it was ok. He will just be taking his suit with 3 dress shirts this trip.

She asked for it right before kindergarten but thankfully she is the type that loves compliments. Everyone told her how pretty it was so now says she never wants to cut it. Most the girls in her class still have fine baby type hair and hers is really thick and grows fast.

I'm not going to be bringing patent shoes with my tux. I have a pair of brushed black shoes I am bringing for both my suit and my tux.

I just figure all of us guys in our tuxes will look so good no one will be looking at our feet! :thumbsup2

That's a tough one. My DH does bring a pair of dress shoes, and then rent the tux shoes. I think patent shoes do not work for dress suits but non-patent shoes work for tux. So you probably could use his shoes...but it is really easy, and not that expensive, just to rent the tux patent ones. I'd vote to bring the ones you have and rent the tux shoes.

Someone mentioned bubble wrap - I wanted to point out that bubble wrap is good to pack for any delicate items you will buy. I don't recall the store on the cruise packing things very well. It is on my list of supplies to pack.

Hey Bruce and other looking-for-camerabag people I just bought a Lowepro Fastpack 350. I bought it off ebay (do I duck and hide for mentioning that site?), so I don't actually have it yet. Once I get it (should be in a few days) I will post pics and give a description if anyone is interested in it to compare to other bags for your purposes - especially with the new rules for shipping boxes listed.
