Done boiling eggs, now off to Tyler's girlfriend's house. On the way home today, he told me she told him she loves him. Uh oh! :rotfl: Her mom already told me she doesn't like her referring to Tyler as "boyfriend".

I agree that they will turn a blind eye on the checked bags. When Porter Bob shows up at the gate to unlock I really don't think he is going to take the time to figure out whose bags are whose when there are already 50 bags there and people milling all around. He just wants the TIP MONEY!!!!!

Exactly and I am more then willing to tip and bribe to get an extra bag or two on the ship.

Forgot to mention earlier and I just posted it but that post got lost, so sorry if it appears later, but great pics of the DIS meet! Nice to see everybody's smiling faces! :)

I called back and asked. I was told if you bring a case of wine that would count as your carry on. You can leave it boxed so they do not break but your carry on you are stuck carrying around until your room is ready. :confused3

I may do that....yes it will be a pain to carry that around, but if it's one of the boxes w/ handles it won't be soooooooo bad. Do we also get 1 personal item like on planes?? If we do - then the backpack would count as the personal item.

I just spoke with DCL (Joshua who checked with his supervisor) and was told there has been no change that they know of as far as what can be carried on and how many bags they will check for you. I was told they still will have tags that the porters can put on extra bags. I specifically asked about carryon. I explained that DH has a camera bag, a cpap bag, a laptop, and that DCL recommends bringing a change of clothes, meds, and anything else we might need for the day in a day bag. I was told it would be FINE for him to have all 4 of these things with him. I think the shipping is the only thing that has changed. I may call again in a couple of days and see if I get the same answer. Guess after the next couple of cruises leave we will know for sure.

The thing is their paperwork has always said 2 bags. So no it has not changed just maybe they try to enforce it now.

The bags do not really bother me it is not being able to ship items. Nobody really wants to lug cases of wine around. OR all the beach toys and pirate stuff. Oh well times do change and I will adjust.

I love the relationship that our boys are developing. Yes, I've always said Wilson was born a little old man.

I'm FREAKING OUT OVER HER HAIR. I was just thinking what kind of bribe I could offer to get her to not do it. ANYTHING!!!!! But I know it's not the right attitude, but she is my little girl and I just don't want her to suffer when it's gone. And I know my daughter she will be heart broken for a moment, those tears that you can save them from shouldn't you????

:sad2:
I think I was a little more ok with Jacinda cutting hers when she was little as it would grow back and she would be ok. I think if she did it so short now she would be very upset. Molly seems so grown up and determined to do this though. I suppose it will be a learning moment for her and you.

Yes, EllaEnchanted ( one of my favorite movies, by the way)

I planned to bring at least 6 bottles of champagne!

Oh, my. I sure hope we can buy liquor and bring it on at our first port of call after Castaway Cay![/QUOTE]

Good ? - does anyone know the answer to this?? I'd be willing to not bring onboard if I can carry stuff on from Aruba.

from the west edge of pasadena to the east edge of glendale is about 3 miles or about 5kilometers

sry thout ya were canadian eh!!

I'm from the far north city (in the same state as you...) san jose.

I did wonder what the K was about, now it's really funny :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

thanks for the info btw.:goodvibes

For everyone fretting over the 2 bag limit - may I once again suggest the Big Rig 30 by Eagle Creek with the packing cubes. I am NOT a size 6 but I can get 14 capri outfits, 4 bathing suits, undies with a couple of extras, 3 pjs, 3 prs of shoes, a jacket, and toiletries in 1 bag. Since I have 2 then the bag allowance should be no problem.

I need to pack bags that can nest inside each other so I can stash them better I suppose. I will be looking this weekend for something bigger then the ones I usually use.

What type of champagne are you planning? I can bring some, another person can bring some, Just let us know the different types, brands, etc. I have a light up tiara, all it needs is new batteries. princess:

When is the tasting, sipping, drinnking party? What about buying some in Aruba?

It's the day of the PC crossing, but Karen was going to supply us with everything including the tasting info that we're supposed to be doing to go with the champagne.

It's not just a matter of buying the champagne and drinking it, that's a party of a different kind.....this is supposed to be a tasting.

I have 50 tiaras that I'm not going to be able to get on board either. I've got fish gifts to pack in a bag now that I can't ship.

I can't see how I'll manage to bring champagne, tiaras, fish gifts, themed costumes, formal wear, all without pre shipping a couple of boxes. I'm going to have to rethink all of this and just do the best I can.

One problem with bigger bags is that they will not fit under the bed....for a short cruise this was not a problem, but I don't think I want them in the room for 2 weeks....

The limiting factor in our room was the height of the bed....

Yes one personal item purse or backpack kinda thing. Also if you have any medical device that does not count towards anything such as the cpap that was being talked about.

Hmm my other bags fit there. So anyone know the height of the beds? LOL

Absolutely Not sensitive! If I could find my post to Woody, I'd repost it here. Although some recovering alcoholics are very sensitive. But they're not as "out in the open" as Jonathan is. Drink openly and talk about it openly - he'll tell you anything. And you'll be shocked when he describes himself... because you'd never guess it now. He has a huge sense of humor, so don't worry about it around him, he'll take care of him.

I saw that post and glad you told us, I don't want to offend. Now that being said he may just not like me :scared1: How could he not like me and my big mouth and odd sense of humor???? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
