Well I went around town looking for something suitable for formal nights, and dresses in general. Well, how depressing. For one it is the wrong time of year. Secondly I must be a really strange shape as nothing I tried on looked good.:sad1:

Thinnk it might be Topsiders for me!!

Well, I bought the "surprise" camera. Actually, it really is going to be a surprise because I was told to not buy it

I got my Canon the same way, but Nancy surprised me by saying that I deserved a new camera for all the work I did on my mother's estate

now this backpack.......

Hi All.....we're getting closer with every wake up.

Got my lowepro bag today.....it's nice, it's going to work just fine.

I'm a little concerned about mailing boxes to the hotel now because I have tiaras and I'll have champagne.....in addition to my packed bags, that's extra boxes that I will have to carry with me. I hope it's not a problem, but I am very concerned about how it's all going to work out.

I have no idea what I'm wearing for formal nights. I'm afraid that what's in the closet won't fit, and I really don't want to go spending money on new stuff.

OMG, we can't ship to the port? WHAT?

Coast Guard Regulations are stating 2 bags and one carry on per person! No shipping anything to port before the cruise. Do not ship to IDS they will refuse the package and ship it back to you. :sad1:

They are having to enforce these rules very strictly now.
2 suitcases
1 carry on
and that is all you can bring.........

So I am off to buy the damn biggest bags I can find I guess :confused3

Getting ready to leave here in just a few minutes.....taking Ray to another doctor appointment. He's got very bad arthritis and we're going to the orthopedic specialist to see if it's calcium deposits that need to removed. YUCK!

I'll be leaving here shortly, but just wanted to pop in and say hello.

:lmao: We walked in planning to share that cake between the four of us, but were very happy to see the cupcakes on the menu. Cheri had the red velvet one...the sisiters...all had chocolate.:thumbsup2

Today is 'lazy day' vacation. Drinking tea and reading books until hunger drives us out for breakfast (lunch?). Then some grocery shopping and an errand or two.

We've decided to cook dinner for Peg and DBil on Friday night, and are having trouble with a menu. As I haven't been cooking much, there aren't a lot of supplies on hand. Told Dianne, if I have to buy five different spices....pick another receipe! Any suggestions for a fairly uncomplicated company dinner? Nothing involving soy or terri-ickiey, no peas, nothing requiring a food processor or outdoor grill.

.

pizza

Marr did you post this on the main boards yet? This means we can't check a case of water then either.

We have a 30 minute grocery stop in Florida that came with our ground travel. I am going to purchase the wine and champagne there and put it in a special suitcase. After that, I'll just pray that none of them break!

Get a pair of nice black pants and a sparkly blouse and you'll be fine.

I thought Karen was shipping the champagne?:confused3

I guess I won't be bringing as much stuff if I can't ship my box! That was going to give me lots of room in my luggage and alot of it wasn't going to return home to me!
