look forward to finally meeting on the cruise....I'm planning on bringing my Dog River hockey jersey....so should be easy to spot....lol

Might just say forget it and let them do all the paper work at the port. IF they can't get a system together that works ....

Maybe I should I bring one of my Lions jersies to help out in the spotting. Won't be the Orange one tho. My wife absconded that one ...

Last time we went to WDW, I wore my Red Wings cap and my son wore his Senator's cap.....and we still ran into Maple Leaf fans who gave us grief (of course the old....at least 'we are in the playoffs' shut them up quickly)

Another update to everyone on my DD's "loose tooth" and the scooter board incident.

Things seem to be healing quite well and we can already notice a positive move with the tooth. So things are looking good.

My DD did get her report card and there was one thing that both my wife and I laughed out loud about when we read it.

The report card for Grade One is done using the 1-4 Progress Levels scale with 4=Exceeds Expectations, 3=Meets Expectations, 2=Minimally meets Expectations and 1=Not Yet Meeting Expectations.

Under Physical Education there is one part that reads:
"Demonstrates appropriate skills when working with the scooter boards and skipping ropes" She was given a 4!!! LOL!!

That's classic!!

Just dropping in to get caught up before bed...so I won't have a zillion pages to catch up on in the morning, as I still have one final chore to do then before company arrives. One more day and I'M ON VACATION.

I was thinking about that, but then I'd have to bring her flute on the trip. Not a totally bad thing to do, but one more thing to have to pack...I'll ask her what she thinks...

I posted a while back about our Cafepress order but didn't see any responses.

Can I just ask - if you've ordered anything from Cafepress, was the spelling correct on the logo? I thought I'd seen that it had been corrected (as shown on the Ship of Thieves website), but ours wasn't. If we're all wearing badly spelled t-shirts, then fine. But I want to check in case it's an error by Cafepress.

Yes, I'd like to know that too, but maybe it's been answered and I haven't gotten to the answer yet since I'm 20+ pages behind!

Just thought of a 'cheap' way to get your huge lens to fit

Get a plastic body cap that enables to to remove the lens and seal off the camera...then you can put the lens in one pocket and the body in another

Morning all,

Thought I would check in early from work. It's the last day of March break here in Ottawa and a Friday to boot, so an awful lot of people are taking the day off



I picked up a used Canon Rebel X...for a very decent price. It is not the newest model, but it can take all the current lenses available. I absolutely love it. Especially with the card I picked up ...it allows me to take over 1000 pictures at the highest resolution. It also has an adapter that allows me to switch between rechargeable and regular batteries

I am trying to figure out if I should bring my laptop along with us. Hopefully I will not be doing any work on the trip as I should be getting an extension on my current contract to take me past when we come back from the trip. I was planning on using it to store and edit the many pictures I'll be taking, as well as using it as a DVD player for Liam's favourite TV show - Corner Gas.

Anyone else bringing one along?

We picked up another couple of inches of snow last night....there are some streets downtown which used to be three lanes and now with the snowbanks they are barely one..ahhhhh, how many days till our trip?

Liam says that he will not get 'excited' until we get into May....( he said the same thing at 99 and 75 days )...I think he is just trying to maintain an even keel as he sees how obsessed I have been about it....Nancy just lets me plan away...keeps me out of her hair...

I keep going back and forth on this one. I kind of want to bring it,but I don't want to be tempted to work. I purchased the thingy (technical term) the allows you to upload your pictures from your camera to your iPod so I'm leaning towards leaving the laptop at home.

The really good news is that we are 51 days out from when we leave on vacation. So she doesn't really have that many PE days left at all!

A note from the teacher yesterday says the scooter boards have been "retired" for the remainder of the year.

I do grow tomatoes too, but the darn dog (the red one) picks them carefully off and eats them before we can get them for ourselves.

Our dog did the same thing with chili peppers. Actually he would just pick them and bring them into the living room and drop them in front of us.

He ate tomatoes also. We had put a chicken wire fence up around them. One day we heard him whining and looked out. He had managed to get behind the fence, but couldn't get back out. Of course he ate all the tomatoes before letting us know about his predicament.

Flutes are lovely. Our daughter played for quite a few years.

Well, Here he is in his usualy spot after work, laying on the couch listening to his Zune....and he's got his new quilt on!

He loved it, he bugged me all the way home from work, did I make his blanket, did I make his blanket, did I ........ so here it is!
