That is crazy. I'll have to check the scale. I have a lot of heavy stuff in there like a fan, bubba mugs, hair dryer, all the pirate costumes, mexican outfits for the kids, gifts for the secret mickey and more. The case weighed 12 pounds before I put stuff in it :confused3

I just use the bathroom scale. I weigh myself, then weigh myself holding the bag. It give me an approximation of what the suitcase weighs.

So far we only have one rolling duffel bag packed. It weighs 33.5 lbs.

I did confirm that on their website, but they're each supposed to be under 50 lbs...I figure the .8 won't matter and if it does I'll take out a pair of underware (HA HA). What I couldn't find is if there's a dimension measurement to be concerned with.

Usually 62 total inches (L x W x H)

It's 62 inches (L x W x H). And the AA overweight fee is $50.

Since AA still allows two bags per person (and we only have one each), we're thinking of bring an extra bag and spreading our stuff over three bags that are not full. That way we'll have room for all the souvenirs we'll collect on the cruise.

Woody

We're spreading over multiple bags too. We're flying AA as well. If anyone bag seems too heavy we'll just pack another.

Stalking Gydell and now I feel sorry for her! Butterfly farm but not through DCL. What time will you be there? PV tequila tasting with Steph and my sis and DBIL. And I would love to go to a resort in Cabo but I don't know where.

We're doing the butterfly farm as well, without DCL.

Packing Report

So packing once was not enough of a challenge. I decided to pack twice.

I unpacked some tropical camp shirts to replace them with ones I got on Saturday.

This is really more feedback on Eagle Creek Folders (thank you Woody).

I packed shirts on Saturday, and unpacked them yesterday. The Folder had been tossed around quite a bit.

I have to say that the shirts that were packed were remarkably unwrinkled and looked great, considering how much the Folder had been tossed around. I'm really glad I bought some of them.

So, now I have packed all of my shirts a second time.

The only really remaining thing is to get everything else into suitcases. Most everything is sitting on the bedroom floor either in packing cubes or in zip lock bags.

on Frontier website it says 62 linear in and shows L+W+D.

That's pretty standard across the board.

As I've said before, one of our suitcases is 63". I'm doing curbside check-in and will be holding a fist full of tips in plain view when I do.

As I have said, I have always had better experiences with curbside check-in vs. check-in in the terminal. Tips are a major part of those curbside folks income.

"CRUISE BUSINESS"

Just remembered when i read one of the posts.....

do not forget to log onto your airline, if it's like Westjet, where you can only book your seats 24 hrs prior to take off

Does anyone know if that includes the connecting flight as well or just the fiirst one???

That's my plan!

We are moving to Florida!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Darrell got the official offer today and we are looking at Aug 4th as his start date so we would probably leave SD on July 28th.

So now we get back from the crusie and start packing!!!

Congrats for you. I hope you have a wonderful future there.

When we temporarly moved to southwest florida years ago it was one of those highlights of my life. I would still like to move back. The winters there spoiled me. The summers were warm but it seemed to rain nearly every day in the afternoons to cool things off a bit. I loved swiming in the ocean in Feb.:thumbsup2

Well, I got nervous today and bought a luggage weight scale at Target. I know they say you can use a fish weighting scale, but they didn't have it there.

I got a few things together today, and made some magnets......Connie

We use our weighing scales at home. Dear husband weighs himself, then picks up the luggage and then weighs him and the suitcase. Then he subtracts his weight from the combined weight of him and the suitcase. Ours was below the 50 lbs.

Also, then he weighs just the suitcase to see if it was accurate. Yea, it was below the 50 lbs again.

I know I will be adding a few more items to one suitcase. Last minute stuff, like makeup and toothbrush.

Is it me? I get on here and everybody disappears!

I know I over packed. But I am not unpacking. Have a good day!

I think we should all (both Bunco and Poker) meet in the Promemade Lounge. We can move if we need to.....but I have walked by there so many times and it is always dead during the day (except for Bingo....which does not start till 3pm I think??) Anyone remember the Bingo start time??
Lisa

I have seen the Promenade Lounge used for a lot of activities, art classes, trivia, children's games, kite making, paper airplanes folding, potato racing, and bingo. It may depend on how many children are on the cruise also. Other cruises there was hardly anything going on.

hmm, so when I go from CA to Denever, do I have to go get my bags in Dever and then recheck in for the new flight?
As you can see, I am real experienced with this.

I am way overpacked. I don't care. I plan on leaving a lot (shampoo, etc) behind if they still have anything in them. My rolling duffle I filled with what I was going to ship so that will just be extra room on the way back.

Finally made it to Dis veteran...:cool1:

I expect things will get very quiet here as more and more people head off...

Thursday morning will be my last chance to check is as our last night here is going to be very hectic

Wow....I never thought I would see our countdown get to 2 days....I remember being so excited at 400
