how cool Holly!! Disney gift cards are the best!
I've never received one before, so I keep taking it out and looking at Mickey smiling at me! :thumbsup2 She did it because I fill in for her on Fridays working for the Energizer Bunny lawyer so that she can work just 4 days a week. It's so nice of her to think of me!

Wow, my mom just e-mailed me to tell me she's leaving Friday to run the Big Sur marathon on Sunday. Cool! Seems like she just ran one somewhere else recently, but I can't remember which one.

oh, yes, it helped Patrick a lot, but the residual startle reflex is still more pronouced than in most people.

Well the two of us agree then. It's not a cure it just helps a little.

And tomorrow is secretary's day, so we'll probably get our annual crappy $20 gift card to the mall. :lmao: Better than a kick in the head, but much smaller firms do things like a dozen roses plus catered lunch or $50 cash. I big fat raise would sure be nice!

Very interesting. :thumbsup2 I just googled and read a whole bunch about it, plus tons of other relative info.

I'm sorry. I thought I brought this up to you another time. If you hadn't heard of it, you probably thought I was crazy! Or maybe you just think I'm crazy anyway!

I'm definitely up for doing it and can ask that the OT recommend it be a part of his IEP so the school would do it.

OK.....I'm outta here too. Too sleepy for more. Worn out from yardwork and our fun time outside today.

Yeah, I think you're crazy, but not because of that. :lmao: I'd heard of it because his OT did it for a minute or so last Wed but our session was over so she didn't have time to say much about it.

I love Wilson's teachers too. I do things for them all year long (my latest  GIANTS gift cards!!!) you can get them at Safeway. His English teacher loves the Giants and his Spanish teacher is a boo hiss Dodger fan. So The gift cards work well as they can go together (neither is married and they are friends).

Molly's teacher is a Dland/Jack fan, so when I went to dland I brought her back a Mickey sourdough loaf and yup, some of those wine in a box juice boxes, she loved them.

I'd rather have my efforts go just for the kids teachers this year, in years past we (that group of parents) make it great for the whole staff, we usually have a week long event, gifts every day, lunches etc, raffels (without buying tickets of course)

I think I'm just getting old and crabby

We do the same thing. It is fun because some people are from different countries and we will have a pot luck one day and a lot of them bring family recipes. On other days we order from Chilis or other places and a lot of the time they give us a huge discount or give it to us for free. Usually I take a collection and buy a really nice gift and I will do that for Ethan's teacher this year since I know most of the parents. Brooke's teacher is a different story. The parents all work and I don't know them.

I'm stressed too. Just ate 4 of those DA** Girl Scout Cookies. But dang, they were good.

I hear thin mints calling my name from the kitchen now! I need to freeze the last 2 boxes so they are out of sight - out of mind!!!

Ok, I am hopelessly behind in less than 24 hours.....:confused3

I am starting to get a bit nervous...am I the last remaining person who doesn't show a UPS package delivery? :scared1: At least when there were a few of you, I was feeling secure. Maybe we won't be joining you all on the ship in 17 days........

Oh, yes you will. I bet that if you print your ressie they will let you check in at port. We would kidnap the ship and wouldn´t leave without you :goodvibes

We are officially sold out of lanyards! If you have not ordered a lanyard from me and are new to the thread and still wanted to have one we can order directly from the company and pay individually. If you would like to do this please PM me and I will set you up and I would be happy to print you a badge.

Hi Kelly! I think we are on the lanyard list, we will try to make it to the DTD Dismeet, but are also considering doing the P&P because DD has been asking to go to MK instead of the cruise :scared:

OK, I found us a Dismeet for the night before the cruise at DTD. This is the place we can also distribute the lanyards. Guest relations helped me to set up a meeting for 4:30pm at the Dockside Stage across from the World of Disney. Each person/family can pick up food from any location in DTD and bring it to the Dockside stage and we can eat, meet and greet. PM me if you'd like to come and tell me how many in your party. We'll have about 90 min. to visit with each other before they set up for a 6:30 performance. I will keep in touch with the management at DTD to find out what the performance will be and to let them know how many of us will be there. Here is the map. World of Disney is number 28 and the stage is near the number 42. We'll see how well you can read this on the post. Thanks, Kelly

Is there a problem if we only make it for the first 30 min? (in case we do go to the MK)

Howdy there neighbour. Welcome to the POR/POFQ club!

We will also be at the MP&PP on the 9th so we won't be at the meet either. Just look for two little girls dressed up as Canadian Princesses (see pic below)and you'll find us!!

We will stay at the POR, but will ride either a Hummerzine from the airport, or will do a rental minivan, since I am not so sure everyone wants tho share the car with our 6 large luggage pieces, plus carry ons, plus whatever I order from the internet for the new baby (thinking about amby baby cradle or a Maclaren stroller, since neither can be bought in Mexico)

Mainly just sensory overload. We're still trying to figure out the whole sensory processing disorder. Like, if somebody accidentally brushes against him in line, to him it feels like that kid pushed or hit him. That's just one example though. It will take a long time to figure it all out and for him to realize that he senses things differently. Well, he knows things are different for him, but he's got a long road of therapy to figure out how and what to do with himself in certain situations.

Today was bad for a couple hours because there was a guest teacher for 2 hours while his teacher had a meeting. He can't handle change very well so they weren't mad at him because they understand that.

:grouphug: to Tyler, it must be really hard being a little boy and trying to understand why he senses things a different way than the rest of the kids.

Hey Holly I know that brushing really helped one of my nephews, and that he used to wear some elastic bands at his wrists and ankles because that kind of helped him fell where his body ended, have you ever found Tyler tying things at wrists or ankles?

John DCL split our docs, I watched mine drive the other way as I drove into the condo. They will be delivered to my work tomorow.

Pj

Oh no, that was rotten luck. At least you know you will get them tomorrow.

omg - they just played the 911 tape of the woman who had the 8 foot gator in her kitchen....the 911 operator asked her if she could be mistaking it for an iguana!!!

If that had been me on the phone, I would have not been so nice. I think the average intellect knows the darn difference.

Sadly, he will be destroyed as is another one that wandered in a yard today that was 7 ft.

V, I have a question, why do the gators have to be destroyed? Can´t they just be relocated?

Gretchen just told me she is going to miss me while I am gone :goodvibes :goodvibes

That´s so sweet of her

Teacher´s day in Mexico is on May 15th, and Estrella has like 15 teachers, her main English teacher, computer teacher, sports coach, 3 swimming teachers, music teacher, religion teacher, french teacher and I don´t know how many more. I definetly not know what we are giving them this year.

Hey, everybody. Long day at work. I just tracked my docs and they are due to arrive on Friday. I think the only thing I really need are the bahama immigration forms.
