and now, I am quoting myself and can't stop singing..."tell me why, I don't like Mondays......" can anyone name the singer?! 80's flashback!

Boomtown Rats. :thumbsup2

Bob Geldof before the knighthood.

Well I have stayed at POFQ and I would be very hjappy with that, but i would sure love a few nights at the GF!!!

I have stayed at POFQ. Each resort has it's own charm. I like them all. I've seen all the resorts. No I have not stayed at all of them, just visited them or ate at them, restaurant or food court.

Oh, we want to do that this time.

I would like to go again. One time for me is not enough. It is amazing.

Tori Amos?

On the cruise docs (did I mention we received ours today? :lmao: ) it says, "Ashore Time Change. In order to properly provision the Disney Magic to transit the Panama Canal on Friday, May 16, 2008, the departure time from Aruba will now be 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008."

When I read this I thought we must be staying longer to allow them to take on supplies. The original timings I have give a departure time of 5pm, so the new time would give an extra hour in port. But the most recent list of timings I noted (can't remember when) gives a departure time of 9.30pm. In which case we're leaving 3.5 hours early. If that's the case then where are we provisioning? At sea? :rotfl2: I somehow can't see the Disney Magic ras'ing.
That makes me mad. I was hoping to do some shopping in Aruba. Oh well. I know the original time was 9:30.

I noticed that note on new departure time but couldn't find what it was previously. and as we are just walking around the town I wasn't too worried.

We must be cutting it fine to get to the PC!:confused3 Perhaps we have to arrive there earlier than first thought.

This is what I bought for my 9 (almost 10) and 6 year old and it's great:

http://www.amazon.com/Panama-Canal-...=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1208806685&sr=1-4

I'm going to give it to guest services for them to have the characters sign.

Thank You both I am going to order it now, he is so into it and I want him to get something from his excitement. Are there any others that you have come across?

Oh now... we're not like that!?!?!?!?!?????????????

Who's got a blackberry?????

whooo hooo!!:thumbsup2
Is it limited space? Do you have to sign up and is it adult only?

Yes, you have to sign up and they are very strict that you must be 18 to go on the galley tour. I was there once when a guy came with his son and they were in a concierge level room. The concierge guy told them about it, he insisted for his son to go, but the galley staff and dining room manager said "NO", sorry, you have to be 18. I am sure it has to do with the kitchen equipment and such and safety issues.

When you get on board, you can go to the guest services desk and ask them if they have the galley times and such. You might want to wait until you get the first navigator in your room that might give a brief rundown of the 15 days, and then it would be easier for you to pick which sea day you want to see the galley. The tours generally start around 2:30 or so and they send about 15-20 people in every 10-15 minutes. They usually end with the last one no later than 3:15 or so. It is a pretty limited time period of when they can take you to the kitchen.

Hope that helps!

Well, that might be a damper on trying to cram in a second excursion, cause I think I would rather be on the ship...:rotfl:

Hum, perhaps there is need to get the ship in the queque - ie to take preparatory action?

Welcome back Marr.

I am reading up trying to see what is going on. I got wickedly sick Saturday and feel like total crap at the moment. A horrible cold and Dom and J have it too. No fun at all and I have so much that needs to be done! Uggh.

So, I have not packed a single thing (well Taylor did bring me 2 pairs of shoes she wanted to take and put them in a suitcase!:lmao: ), my guest room is a disaster area with Ebay stuff that I am selling and my job is crazy between now and May 8th. OMG I don't think I am going to be ready to go....I need some extra hours in the day....is that possible?! :lmao:

Note to self, must clean guest room so brother will have somewhere to sleep while he house sits.

Second note to self, must pack in order to clean up guest room.

The PC Transit Authority has probably notified them at what time the PC pilots will be getting on board and the exact time the ship will be entering the first lock. Based on that, my guess is we have to leave Aruba earlier in order to get to the PC, since last time we were in Curacao and we were closer to the PC.

I wonder what would happen if we missed our scheduled time. Would we sit out in the bay waiting for the tug boat to come and get us when they could fit us in? Does the PC Transit Authority make you pay a penalty if you are not there? Where is Alvero, I need to find him and ask him these questions.

:confused3
