I got my stateroom too. 8578! My first verandah. Of course, I booked three weeks ago so I didn't have much choice, but at least I am out of the lifeboats. LOL.

So my fear is not being able to find my stateroom....or going to the wrong one!! Hopefully DrHug will get our magnets on the door right away so I will not wander the halls asking strangers to help me figure out where I live!!

We will all help you don't worry. Anyway I always got the wrong way from the elevators.(Ok, so just don't ask me the way to your room! )

Hey, we all got on the same side of the ship. If I am right isn't this the side that faces the web cams? That would be neat for anyone watching. I want to make a sign to hang from the balcony that day so those watching can look for us.

Marilyn, we have a connecting room too but I have found that those aren't always accurate. We were supposed to have one on our last trip but when we got to the rooms, they weren't. So maybe you will get lucky. Hopefully since the kid count should be down being close to the mid stairs won't be too bad. I can't see where it would be too noisy from mechanics since you are surrounded by staterooms. Maybe their was just a problem with the room and it is fixed.

we are in 8058, which is accross the hall from you up a deck, does this mean I'm on the "wrong" side to be seen??? I'm bummed....all that work to book on 1/31/07 and pay the full price, yes the same as today and we are not on the side we wanted... bummer...

That's weird, our school said we had to miss more than 10 days to qualify for independent studies.

Same here!!! So I said well then she will miss the friday the 9th too so we can fly in early so 11 days, then they said ok Talk about *** backwards.....

Amazing how some school boards dictate what parents can and cannot do with their kids (with respect to vacations)

That's one of the reasons we homeschool.....another reason was the quality of the teachers at our local school.....to validate our decision today we just found out that the school Liam attended in SNR KD is closing.....as it was deemed too small to offer quality education.....

We LOVE our school but it is hard! The girls go to a magnet school that uses the British Storyline approach! It's the only school in the US to exclusively teach all grades (k- 5) this way!!! It really is amazing!!!! Other schools around here are starting to use it more and more but not do the whole school thing like we do!!!
