Ok on wall #1 Pretty in Pink movie poster, Desperately Seeking Susan movie poster, 3 seperate madonna posters, A levi's shrink to fit poster, A poster of california and another I can't make out. Mind you all of these except 2 of the madonna ones are Movie theater size....
What a cool pad!

Donny was cute too with his "Puppy Love".

Michael J. Fox was okay but I liked Shaun, Donny, Rene and Leif better.

Does anyone else remember Leif? Another gorgeous blonde who wore tight white pants. I had a life size poster of that and still remember it. I likely even still have the poster.

Sorry I think those were all before my time too. I knew Shaun as a Hardy Boy but mainly, I believe, in syndication.

And here is a pic of Leif as I googled him to see if Iknew anything about him - nope.

The first real album I bought (that wasn't a "kiddie" album or just a rehash of my parents' music) was Ratt's Out of the Cellar. And yes it was an LP.

goodness....enough already...but my Grandaddy gave me my travel and Disney bug.....wish he could see Animal Kingdom....he would LOVE AKL.....

8 tracks....of course......I remember 78s.....do you even have a clue about them???

I know about 8 tracks. We had one in our station wagon in 1978. I also know about 78's but that's only because my dad had (actually still has) the original episodes of The Lone Ranger on 78s. Hardest part is to find a record player these days that can play them.

hey if anyone drinks 1800 we are starting to collect the bottles....we have one...which took a LONG time to drink.

Wide variety of topics tonight.

Dirty Dancing, loved it, had both records from the movie. Put a record on and dance on the piano bench - it made a great stage for the performances.

Wore leg warmers in winter (look cool and be warm - fantastic winter fad!)

Nobody mentioned the classic movies "goonies" and "lost boys". I wanted to be a goonie and it had cindy lauper music. Can't beat "girls just wanna have fun" for a great fun song. Our budgie back then loved Cindy Lauper, turn her record on and that bird would dance :dance3: but only to Cindy.

I have an empty bottle of Edicion 1800 Gran Reserva Tequila Anejo, Del Nuevo Milenio. It was good while it was fuller. We finished it off about two months ago. It was excellent. Bottling date was 6/00 and it was put in the barrel 7/97. I wish I had bought two of them. I will have to drink the last drop of cognac instead. Salud!

You always buy two. One for now and one for when you run out of everything else one night!

bubba/cindy looking forward to the drunks, what are we going to call ourselves????

Wow, JAZZ. That's another Jeopardy category.

I saw George Benson (Breezin' tour), and Al Jarreau (Breakin' Away tour). Would love to see Earl Klugh. Jeffrey Osborn (he's more R&B) has the most incredible voice ("On the Wings of Love").

I saw Diana Krall in concert both alone and with Tony Bennett...

My friend called me up one day and asked me if I wanted to go to the Freihoffer's Jazz fest at Saratoga Performing Arts (SPAC) (at the time I lived 2+ hours from there...now I live 15 miles down the road...) and I hemmed and hawed until she said... "Diana Krall's playing Saturday night..." I thought about it and then she said "They are Ben Wolf's tickets..." Not knowing yet who Ben Wolf was... We get there and we go to the box office and get the tickets... the envelope said "Guest of Diana Krall" NICE... I went into the arena figuring they would put me wherever they had a seat.. I kept going lower and lower... the next day my friend called to ask how the seats were because she couldn't go and Ben had called her to apologize for not having tiime to see her... I told her the tickets were the pits... THE ORCHESTRA PIT!!! I'll never get seats that good again... :sad2:

very cute logo and I got Molly assignment last week. She will be writing a report on Molly Pitcher. She will have all the research done before we travel, and will just have the actual writing to do on the ship. Not too hard a task. Wilson may have a journal and some plant experiments to do. I guess I have to figure out if he can bring on seeds to do this or not, hmmmm customs might have a problem with this huh?

Um... The Molly Pitcher is an Inn in Red Bank NJ... nice place... on the water...

I was born that year :rotfl:

ME TOO!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

We are doing ok. I am missing Dennis and anxious to get home. Our flight out is not until 7:45 tomorrow evening, so we are going to go see the Liberty Bell and Betsy Ross Home before we go to the airport tomorrow. It will pass the time. Then I have another night in Spokane before I can fly home Monday. Long, long days here.

Angie.. I used to have to go to Philly to see the specialists and surgeons for my neck and shoulder nerve problems... I used to take the kids to see the sights when I was there...one time I went outside while my friends son went to look for something in the gift shop... now...my mother has taught us all to read every important sign out there and I spot this VERY IMPORTANT brass sign on the wall... I walk up to read it and it says... "This House Painted By Sears"... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

nice hair, not!!! I'm so glad I missed this era, by one year. I graduated 1982, I think the hair took over in '83

Yeah... we had the flat feathers... I used to sleep with a bandana on my head to get it flat... ouch... I had a headache all through high school...
