hello all!
Well I haven't been feeling like cooking much lately but tonight I put together a 7 layer salad (more like 14 when I got through with it), twice stuffed baked potatoes adn the steaks are marinating for John to grill. He and the girls are outside playing ball so I will check in later!

I haven't felt like cooking since I started talking to you all. :rolleyes1

:santa: Calling all children and adults who are looking for some fun and surprises. Come join the Secret Mickey event. You will be matched up with someone who you will give gifts to throughout the cruise and will receive gifts from your Secret Mickey. Near the end of the cruise we will meet to find out who your Secret Mickey was. If you or your children are interested in joining in on the fun, please send me a PM stating names, ages, gender, favourite Disney character and other things about yourself which would help your Secret Mickey in giving you gifts. We will decide on the final details once I have gathered everyone's suggestions. Some are thinking gifts every day, some every second day, and others maybe six times throughout the cruise at your option as to which days.

See Ya Real Soon!!!!

This was discussed a loooooong time ago. Do you have time to do it still? Sure would be nice.

Someone has some splaining to do.

Didn't get a lunch break, so have lots of catching up to do. Do I stay at work and read for a while, or head home (or out for PIZZA) first????

.

why did you use them again???:scared1:

I did not use Travelocity..Vanessa (our exchange student) booked the trip and then needed me to help bail her out when her best friend's grandmother died....

She says this morning, I see why you hate that company now....she is greating a great education on American life! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OK....sitting at my desk crying. Thank goodness nearly everyone has gone home. It's been such a long hard week...doing two jobs while sick...I can't wait for this trip! :grouphug:

Kathe I am so sorry to hear about your son and gf, I hope they can find a way to make it work. And big hugs about your father.
Thanks V. My brother, his daughter and my daughter and I made the hour journey to the funeral service today. I think we have closure now, at least as much as we are able to under the circumstances. And the silver lining here is I get to see my granddaughter tomorrow:angel:
It's a hard one to deal with. My parents split up when I was 18. My mom had never worked or driven (of course my dad told her she didn't have to) so I quit college and went to work. I had my mom and two younger sisters to support. I've been working ever since! I did get the chance to see my dad when he was in the hospital before he passed away after not seeing him for almost 12 years - he looked at me and said "you look tired". I replied, "I've been tired since I was 18". He said he knew and was sorry. I try to focus on that when I do think of him. It always makes me sad that I wasn't more sad when he passed away. But, I have no guilt and know that it was him who chose to leave us.

Wow, what a downer!!! Not usually like me . . . but Kathe's story just brought all these things back to the surface. It's good every now and then to think about them and then pack them away again! Because of all of that I had the opportunity to be so close with my mom and sisters in a different way than I would have. It definitely made me the person I am today! Whoever that is!!! HAHA
Susie  Sorry to bring up sad memories for you. I'm sorry you had such a burden at such a young age. But you're right, all of these life experiences help to shape the person we become:hug: For me I learned to treasure the gift of a daughter and son and they had a wonderful loving father whom they'll never forget.
Did I not mention that in my emails last night?! :confused3 I really have no idea. Woke up yesterday and my eyes were just irritated, like allergy stuff...then as the day went on, had to keep sunglasses on to see as they were very sensitive to light (that was a sight, seeing all my patients with my shades on:lmao: ) When I got home, I took out my contacts and went around for a while with no correction and then put in a new pair of contacts...and my R eye was totally fuzzy. It was pretty funny watching me try and play bunco....everyone had to help me read the die! So, today, it is about 50% better. I am hoping by tomorrow all will be good. (and that was probably way more info than people wanted to know!:lmao: )
Kaylee, sure hope your eye is better

Deborah  So sorry for your loss.
if maryilyn gets to call it her party, then I want to too:snooty:
Well, I'm celebrating my 50th the entire cruise party: I don't care that my birthday was last August, means I get to celebrate extra because I had to wait so long :dance3:
So that means 4 Fridays from now I'm loading up the car ...  :scared1:

That means I only have 4 days off work left to get ready :scared1:

Speaking of the return of the original thread (I think it was that long ago...), remember the discussion about the Batter Blaster? Well, my husband just walked in the door from Costco carrying BATTER BLASTER! Guess what we'll be trying for breakfast tomorrow???
