Yeah, and Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk" too . . .

I actually have an old Edison crank phonograph that I bought as an antique. No electricity, just turn the crank, put the needle on the '78, and all the amplification comes from the mechanism. I have an old collection of '78's to go with it.

After chatting this afternoon I was listening to that Jackson Browne song, "Daddy's Tune" . . . the line where he says he will put his '45's beside his dad's '78's . . . I was thinking now you would say put my iPod beside your old CD's.

Well . . . there's always a first time for everything.

With that, I am going to bed. Too early an awakening tomorrow.

Have a good night West Coast!

G'nite John Boy!!!

Remember how popular Purple Rain was...I went to see that with my BF at the time and we had to sit apart...it was so crowded...

I have a Fleetwood Mac record.

I was to be working tonight. My work is sitting beside me but I sure haven't done much. Darn, I hate when that happens.

And have you all seen friends, you know the flashback episode where chandlers hair is like the flock of seagulls guys....YEA...that was my PROM DATES hair....and I have the pictures to prove that...talk about disappointing..Here I am in my Gunne Sax (remember that?) dress with my hair done and his hair is bigger than mine...

Yup, had one, wore one! but my hair won't hold a curl, so I never was able to get the big 80's hair :sad1: :sad2:

I don't recognize him and I don't think he is that cute.

Put yourself in 4th grade listening to this...

"Whoa-oh
Julie, Julie, Julie, do ya love me?
Ah, Julie, Julie, Julie, do ya care?
Julie, Julie, are ya thinkin' of me?
Julie, Julie, will ya still be there?"...

What a terrific outlook!

Woody

Thanks :) I always ry to find the silver lining in any situation - even when my mother died - while I lost my best friend (besides my husband), my mentor, my confidant, my rock, a.k.a., my mother suddenly when she was 53 - because of her 4 other families were able to have many more memories because of donating her organs.

I decided a long time ago that I could not let life get me down there are always issues and people have problems as I do but my "problems" make me stronger and help me view life in new ways - there is always a lesson to learn in all my problems - and my biggest lesson everytime is that turning my problems over to God helps me let them go and realize there are other's with bigger problems who need my help and prayers more than me. Now this is just me an I know not everyone can deal with things like this and I do have my down times - sometimes it takes me years (like with my mother's death) to see the hidden blessings.

I pray for each of you going through difficult times and you find peace and the will to deal with each day's challenges. Here is one of my favorite things I have gotten:

Lemonade

This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where one could read it everyday. You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.

1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.
8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
10. When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look.
11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.
