Oh Kaylee, if you can go at all, you should try.....The Jones Beach Theater is the best place to see a concert. I used to live in Long Beach, the next town over and went to Jones Beach Theater in the summers. The stage is actually IN THE WATER while the seats are on the shore so you're facing the stage and surrounding it is the ocean and boats. It's AWESOME. It starts out during daylight and then goes dark and you're under the stars. The Theater is not too big either.....every seat is a good one. It's my favorite concert hall ever and I have seen many of them there. It's such a great experience, go if you can.

Ohhhhhh, this is just so hard. All I would have to pay for is my plane tix and travel to and from her place in Brooklyn. I miss NYC so much so any chance to get back there, eat a real bagel, a black & white and walk through Central Park I try and jump at it...but I'd miss Father's day....
I was born in CT...spent tons of time in NYC, but never been to Jones Beach...you just made it sound so awesome and to see REM there.....decisions!!!!

My first concerts were the Monkee's and Herman's Hermits.:rotfl2: Looking back though, the coolest thing was that The Who opened for Herman's Hermits. I got to see The Who as an opening act! Needless to say, they put Herman's Hermits to shame.

I have been aggravated for the past few days because I just found out that my present favorite performer, Kid Rock, will be here while we are on our cruise. Tickets went on sale today.:sad2: I know, I know, poor me, I have to go on a 15 night DCL cruise.

Donna

I really feel for ya!

I think that the Best Concert I ever saw was Louis Armstrong, at Disneyland, on Dixieland at Disneyland Night, in 1964. He was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Goosebump time. I was going to take Angie to see him, right after we met, but he was ill and the show was cancelled.:sad1:

She know I'm teasing her. I don't know who Rene Simard is. I was all about Shaun Cassidy. But I will say that my first teen idle was Bobby Sherman. Now that's showing my age.

OK I really don't know who Bobby is

This is a response to the question I asked about what happens now that the ship is overbooked.

Thanks....I was getting nervous reading all those posts...but didn't know what the starting point was.

I liked Kirk Cameron

how about C. Thomas Howell? He was my absolute favorite (after Shaun mania died down for me) in my tween years.

I thought that was a type of baby crib.

gaylean ----- how old are you?

ok, thought it was over, now we are storming again. We are listening to the FPL guys on microphone to each other.

I'm 32 but my b-day is 6-16. :sad2:

How aweful about the migraine PJ....I hope it goes away soon.

PJ....hope your migrain clears up quickly! (guess my eyesight isn't as good as I thought, I missed that part of your post )

V....stay safe, hope this storm settles down for you guys soon.

Here you go. If your curious or want a flash back.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbog0CxPWsE

I just watched the video. What wonderful memories that brings back. His blonde hair and all, I still think he is gorgeous. As I was watching the video I was thinking about what he was shaking behind him and then all of a sudden he turned around. How sweet that was!!!! I guess he doesn't look like that anymore though. Age seems to do something to us every now and then.

omg our nerighbor's house is hit...on fire and the firetrucks are here.

yes, when it started raining I shut down my reg pc and unplugged the laptop and booted up. we usually loose our power so I wanted to be ready, the house which is on fire - now looks to be contained is the one next door to that one that was for sale forever.

omg there are powerlines that exploded and are hanging everywhere. the firemen just yelled at all the people to get home (dh included) with the puddles and water and hanging powerlines that is a cause for disaster.

I go to watch the game, and you guys go on a posting frenzy, and lightening strikes!

I don't know why I'm about to admit this, but it might give everyone a good laugh, but my first concert was Shaun Cassidy at the Greek Theater. Ok let the laughter begin. But I really did :lovestruc him.

:worship: Amy loves him too, along with Donny Osmond . . .

I did get to see Elvis. DrHug was so sweet and gave his ticket to a friend who LOVED Elvis. Of course I did too, so the two of us gals went. DrHug thought he would see a later concert or in Las Vegas, but alas it was The Kings last tour. I did really enjoy that one! :lovestruc

And I would give her the ticket all over again, if I only could.:goodvibes
