yup, that's my 13 year old rule in practice, if Molly is a wimp at 13 I'll push it back even further. Why stress over something silly like earrings?

My mom made me wait until 12. At the time it seemed horrible to have to wait but I'm positive now it was the right thing to do

No kidding - I feel like I need to start packing! 4 weeks 4 days!!

You haven't started? I'm almost done. Just a few things that we wear everyday and that's it.

No script yet. I talked with the OT and before she talks with his pediatrician about meds, she wants to wait until all the various people at school do their own evaluations and she speaks with all of them just to make sure all reports are consistent in all areas evaluated, and she'll provide all that data to his pediatrician too, along with her own evaluation report and we'll go from there. Should just be a couple more weeks. Not a quick process, but we really are getting somewhere.

I understand the process as you've described. Have you addressed the fact that you are traveling soon and it would be nice for both of you to have some resolve on this prior to the pending travel?

It would be great if you would be able to start and get some of the trial and error doseages out of the way before the trip. From my limited understanding of these issues I would think that the drugs might give Tyler the ability to cope with the club environment and then you would have some enjoyment of some free time too.

V, I'm exactly the same way. VERY claustrophobic. I very rarely even close all my curtains because I just have to see outside all the time. I'm fortunate that my cube at work is in a location where I can lean back in my chair a bit and look out the window of an attorney's office behind me and do so about every 15 minutes throughout the day or whenever I get that urge. I even have to get up and step outside many times a day to just get beyond those walls....even have to do that at home too. Tyler thinks I'm absolutely nuts when I open our front door in the middle of winter just for a minute or two!

Holly aren't you guys in a cat 10 also??? Aren't you worried??? I couldn't do it myself, too claustrophobic myself.

The kids have full costumes but I was just thinking of getting t-shirts for us. Jon wants a Captain Jon Sparrow hat!!

Naw! Ya gotta do more than t-shirts.

We cruised when The Santa Clause movie was premiered and it was never on the pre-cruise lists....I bet they show Indiana Jones....

If they are testing him for special ed, which they may not be, they won't give him anything because they want to see how he is off the meds. They need to hurry though. He should have a couple of weeks to get used to the med that is right for him. HURRY!

I've started a list and all of my dresses are hanging on doors in plastic bags ready for packing. But that's it so far...

I used it for the beach and we got a nice room for 44.00. Comfortable and big. I think it was a 4 star. A few miles further than we wanted but worth the savings.

Who's chicken and how do I get his job?

chickeninthecupboard, is DH Paul, the story goes...when we finish a task or errand for each other, we call and say the chicken is in the cupboard. this harkens back to our first house together and the cabinets in our dinning room, something about a dish shaped like a chicken fitting in a cupboard...or something like that...I can't remember it from so long ago...all of 16 years...

Thats what happens if I start packing too early. I end up panicking that I forgot something so I empty everything back out. 2 weeks before is the earliest I can start packing. Of course I have a 12 hour crop the weekend I should be packing so I might have to start a few days earlier.

Isn't it funny how stories start and they are jokes you always use but you can't remember how it really started.

one long hour, and we wanted to have wine with dinner and enjoy ourselves. We planned on taking a cab to dinner and back to hotel.

Just checking in..Close to full on panic mode as time seems to be passing faster and faster. ....
Last fall I remember thinking I had all the time in the world to plan....

I know, I'm feeling a bit of panic too, especially as I'm a procrastinator. I finally went on line this afternoon and picked my trip insurance, just have to book it (ran out of time at the office). Still haven't decorated my FISH EXTENDER! Then I'm trying to decide if/which t-shirts to order and what color! But you know, I have my passport, I have my money, I've got a few things to wear...it's all good!
