I've got to call John (from another room) in a minute to come and wrap my legs. We didn't do it for about a week and the edema came back and the right one started leaking again and it started to look like the cellulitus infection was going to come back.....so we wrapped it with the medicine again last night and it's much better today, but it needs to get wrapped again with the medicine.....just to make sure it doesn't come back. I have to be so careful because it can come back so easily......again and again.

That is so small, it looks great to have and carry around with you to print out pics. But how do you post pics online, for example, if you wanted to post a picture on this thread, how would you do it?

Oh, I forgot THE BEST PART. So, this restaurant has various vintners come in and do wine tastings and special dinniers. The Banfi folks will be there March 9th and they are doing a five course dinner with wine parings....$65!!! I am SO THERE!

OH, so excited.....I reserved and paid for my sedan car service to take me from the LA port to LAX where we are renting a convertible car from Avis for $500 for one week and returning it in Vegas.

Woody, thank you for suggesting going straight to the hotel and renting there. I looked into it and found out that it would be more than double the money to do it that way. I didn't think it was worth it.

So we're all set, our car is picking us up at the port at 10:00am and it's only $65 and it's paid for already, except for a tip. I would much rather use a sedan than a van. I don't want to make more than one stop and I want my luggage to comfortably go in the trunk.....since we're flying to FL and home from Vegas, that will be no problem. We'll each have one check in and one carry on. That's all we're bringing. If we bring more than that back with us, we'll ship it home from LA.

Yes - make sure to keep them healthy. Need DoDs in the pool!

Oh I know Gydell, I do NOT want to end up back in the hospital again. Now that we have all the supplies and know what the good wound care center did to fix them, we can do it ourselves at the first sign of things going downhill. That's what we did last night with wrapping them with the medicine. We'll do it again in a few minutes too.

I can't believe how easily it can come back. I thought that once it was gone and I didn't get scratched again and open a wound again, that I would be fine. Nope. I have to be so careful of the edema coming back. I have to keep them wrapped in the ace bandage to keep the edema under control. And as John says......elevate and exercise. I've been doing that too.

YES, DODs and Pool but no sun directly on the back of the legs. Those were the doctors orders at the good wound care center.

John likes the shade too. We usually try to get the table at Signals on the Cove Cafe side. He'll put his chair in the shade and I'll put mine in the sun. But we'll be sitting at a table with drinks, not on a lounge chair, so my legs will be fine in the shade. Like we always say Lisa, the more the merrier!!! We would love to have you and Darrell and even Pat and Chris join us. If we don't get our table, then we pick a table on the same side in the shade. We'll all fit!

Hi Everyone,

Thank you all for the well wishes and pixie dust it is really helping. Things are rough here as you can imagine. We won't know for sure until probably right up to Pay Date what will happen.

I do need some help from those who live in Florida in/or near Orlando. Mom wants to move to warmer climates and we want to be close to the mouse. If we move but we don't know much about what areas are good to look in.

Well I got some good news tonight. First let me tell you the before part:

When I had booked way back last January I had booked an extra cabin. I was going to be taking a friend and her daughter. Well in this past year our friendship has gone downhill and since I no longer feel the desire to pay her way she is no longer coming along. I had decided I would try to find a nanny to bring along to help with the kids.

Now I am super mom at least I think I am so no I do not leave my kids EVER hence why I wanted someone along with my 4 year old so he was not left crying in the club while I tried to do an excursion with my 9 year old. Also so maybe after they are in bed I can escape to meet up with adults to chat and relax.

So long story here I know but any how tonight I got the call back I had been waiting for I have found my nanny! I was not going to use a service so I only asked girls I knew or very close family knew. The girl who is coming along is my brothers ex girlfriend. She is very sweet and great with my kids. My son kinda has a crush on her and gets all goofy when she is around.

I have done this on a lot of other trips that I have gone on. I am single and it is hard for me since I have a hard time finding friends who can travel when I want. My married friends can't just take off for a weekend let alone a week and my single friends usually can't afford to do anything especially if they have kids. So paying someone's way to tag along works well for me.

I am really happy now! I can do a couple things with my daughter I would have skipped and I can hang out with grown ups from time to time!

I went as a babysitter many years up to Martha's Vineyard. It was a great experience. I think it also has to do with the family you travel with. Mine included me in everything that was being done. I took care of the kids when they wanted their adult times and at night at bedtime...otherwise... I was on vacation!!!!
