As the lunch party was going into Club 33 today, one person literally decided to skip it at the last second. So they asked if I wanted to join them. "Of course I'll go!"
Welcome! We will be at OKW may 8-10th. Then onto the cruise. My dd is 9. All of us had some problems booking excursions/palo etc. It just stinks that those that chose to express their frustrations were sent form letter responses. That says to me that either a.) there were so many people that complained that they had to send those out or b.)they just don't care. I wish disney would take a cue from other cruise lines and have a proper booking system. I have never had those problems on RCCL or Carnival or even (old school) Royal Cruise Lines. For the extra $$ we pay for a disney cruise, I expect their system to be above par, not well below.Thanks for such a warm welcome. Everyone seems so nice on here.
It's just the four of us going on this trip - me, dh, ds(5) and dd(3). This will be our first DVC stay at OKW from May 4 - 10 and then after the cruise we are staying at the GC until Wed. I'm so excited for this trip but I think I'd be more excited if could get a stateroom number assigned. I feel really displaced being GTY but I guess I shouldn't complain since we only booked in January.
I've been skimming through some of the old posts and I thought I was the only one having problems booking excursions at the 90 day mark.I should have found this thread earlier... I wouldn't have been so frustrated knowing others were having the same problems. I never was able to get a reservation for a Palo brunch after being online until 1:00 am (4 hrs total). I managed to get only 2 of the 4 excursions I wanted that night and booked the other 2 the next morning.

Me too Marilyn. But I don't know if I can wait until then, I'll be in a panic by April. Think I'll start to buy a few things and just keep the tags on in case I have to exchange them for a different, preferably smallersize.

Good Morning Thieves!!! The sun is shining and I'm feeling so much better. It's been a tough week of chronic pain. I have a whole list of illnesses and I just had a flare up. I hurt from head to toe right to the bone. It was hard to sit, stand, sleep or move. I was taking pain killers and muscle relaxers which knocked me out. I'm so glad it's over for now.
I'll be good to go on our cruise because I'll be taking steroids temporarily while on vacation. They will reduce the inflamation and pain and give me energy. I can't stay on them permanently, but I do use them for vacation. So I am doing better today and will be great on the boat.
It's the last day of February today.....starting tomorrow it's just 2 months and 10 days to go......just 2 months people.....and we're there!! Now I'm getting even more excited because after waiting over a year, 2 months is nothing and will go very quickly.

DGS has enlisted DrHug and I to chaparone school dance tonight. DGS chose to organize a dance with Techno music for his Senior Project. (he said he and his friends do not like to go to the dances because they always play Hip Hop) Money earned will be donate to the band program. He has done a great job, got a very popular DJ from local radio station for only $200, got many donations from local businesses. Free printing for the tickets, etc. So, DrHug will take a few photos for DGSs presentation that he will have to put together after, I will sell cookies or water or man (woman) the auction table or whatever he needs me to do. He said we would just need to be prepared to listen to 3 hours of Techno music. I'm not sure what that means, but......

I'm with ya Deb... been in chronic pain since 1988... car accident... lots of surgeries... I'm a walkin pharmacy sometimes... it seriously sucks and this week I'm feeling down because of the side effects of the meds I've had to take this week... Hate it all... Hoping to feel great for the cruise!!!
Sorry you have to go through this too. It is debilitating and it hurts. I hope you have good drugs to get you through it. Here's to feeling great on the cruise!

I got volunteered to work my nephews Operation Graduation... I got the 3am to 6 am slot... they were so exhausted... I ended up with a dozen kids asleep around my "station"... They were precious though...
