While streching, after her Walking for Fitness badge with the girl scout troop on Sunday afternoon, in our driveway she dislocated it. Fortunately it popped right back in, but it hurt and she was scared. It gets swollen while she is on it all day at school and then while resting it goes down. I'm afraid it's the same kind of thing I did in 7th grade during wrestling practice. I've had weak knees every since. I'm always afraid they will "pop" out again during activity that stresses them (like snow sking) hence my lack of enthusiam for such sports.

Nan...

Have you thought of getting a splint/support for Molly's knee to wear for a little while. Maybe I'm not describing it well...

Hopefully if you can get something to rest her knee it may help... but if it doesn't get better... take her for help!!!

Hey Ian....

They had Chumby (ah... Mrs. Bennetts' family) advertising on weather.com...

A question about the Hyatt at MCO. We arrive late on Friday the 9th because I have to work that day.

Is anything happening for breakfast at the Hyatt on the morning of the 10th?

We usually do room service so we can get on one of the first buses!

Wow I would love to be able to see some of that out my window!

The cool thing is when I work really late (well, that's not so cool!) I can see the fireworks from my window!

I don't know Nan, I dislocated my knee cap when I was in elementary. I had to wear a full leg brace which did not allow me to bend it for 6 weeks and then do PT for weeks after that. It hasn't given me a bit of trouble since then tho. Maybe you could call an ortho and at least phone consult with a nurse. Do you have any friends with dr-ly husbands?

It's like a cosmopolitan, but less sweet and more tart, which I love. They put a lime in it and it's great. It was a DOD one day on my 11 night Southern cruise and I've been drinking them since.....when aboard.

Ya just can't drink BBC's all day long....you'd get way too full and not eat any food.....and we all know that's a sin! We switch over to CL's after the BBCs.

Might have to try one of those. They sound intersting. Are they Vodka based?

We got hooked on Cranberry Margaritas one cruise. Those were so refreshing.

I usually call the regular margaritas Adult Lemonade.

Been a crazy six weeks. I know I have no chance to go back and get caught up with what everyone has had to say.

Shawn has been in Honolulu for the last three weeks assisting in the opening of the new store there. I think it opens in a couple of weeks. He does finally come home this Saturday. Never realized how much he really helped with the kids and around the home. Guess you don't know what you have until it is gone. It will be great to have him back. I do miss him horribly. His absence did allow me to get out of the talk in Washington D.C. though!!!

Plans are all but finished for his 40th birthday celebration in Eden, Utah. Hope he will appreciate all the work I have put into it. We have friends coming from D.C., Oregon, San Jose, L.A., and Arizona. It should be a ton of fun.

While he has been gone, the pool turned a nice shade of green. Called someone to come to the house and figure out what was going on. Needed a new pump, there was a crack in the old one. They replaced it yesterday morning and I came home last night to a flooded front yard. Go to the back yard and the pool is half empty!!! The bottom casing of the pool filter split wide open and water was flooding our yard and the neighbors. Nothing like 15,000 gallons of water to make friends with your neighbors! Filter housing now has to be replaced tomorrow morning. Couple grand later, we should have the cleanest pool in the area.

Oh, I did see a few posts about rum. When we were in St. Kitts for the Southern cruise, we fell in love with some rum that they make there. Don't think if it is a good thing, but it tastes soooooo yummy. It is made by Brinley Gold and we can only find it online at like 5 places. It comes in the following flavors: Coffee (yuck), Mango, Lime, Coconut, and Vanilla. The Vanilla is the best - we have 10 bottles of it!!!! Only one of all the others (minus the coffee - yuck). Anyway, we like it too much!

Lastly, the USAF has finally cut all the red tape and created a GS13 position for me!! I am extremely excited - no more self employment tax!!! Oh, and now I will have benefits - you know - paid time off is huge when you haven't had it in three years. When we go on vacation, I don't earn a dime, kind of a double whammy. The Armed Forces have so many down days and again, I don't get paid for those. It is going to be a little bit of a pay cut, but is more than worth it to just have the stability of not wondering if my contract will be renewed each year. Now, we just have to see how long it takes to go into effect. Hopefully by June.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Great news!

Ian - I have a Mouse Manager shirt in lime green.....so you could too!

I suppose ... If I had to ...

Lime green just isn't my color, though I find myself asking, is it anyone's color?

Doug and I will probably do a continental room service breakfast so that we can be on the first bus from the hotel. Won't want to wait another minute to get started on our cruise. :cool1: :dance3:

I wonder why all the continental breakfast? We are usually up at 4:30 in the morning. The buses don't start leaving until 10, don't they?

Is there going to be some huge slapping fight to see who gets on the bus first? I hate a scene.

My DW has told me there were several posts about digital cameras some time back. I looked, but that could take forever. We are in the market for a new camera(can't find the old one). Has anyone had any experience with the Nikon Coolpix 5100. From what I've seen, it appears to be very versatile and not too big. Sorry to bring up something has been hashed out before, but would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

Greg

Hey Ian....

They had Chumby (ah... Mrs. Bennetts' family) advertising on weather.com...

Isn't it odd how these things start popping up. To be honest, I had never heard of a Chumby until 2 weeks ago. And then when I saw Mrs. Bennett in all of her plumpy goodness, I knew she was destined to be mine.

Mrs. Bennett has been with our household for 4 days now, and she becomes more adored everyday. The most surprising thing, that we really love, is the Flickr slideshow.

I mean previously, our photos were just frozen somewhere on a drive or electronic album and now, when I'm in the kitchen and a photo slides across Mrs. Bennett's screen. If brings a smile to my face.

By the way, other Mac users, I found a Flickr iPhoto plug-in so I am exporting directly from iPhoto to Flickr.

.

It is beautiful today. Here is the view from my office!

I'm jealous! Not the weather, the proximity!:goodvibes

AI is on....
