So many things I wanted to comment on from last night . . . just could not pass this one up though.

Nan,

True in 2002, but not true in 2008. Since Macs now run on Intel processors, Macs can run Windows as well as the Mac OS. Best of both worlds (Miley Cyrus of computers?:rotfl2:) if you really want it. PC magazine has rated Macs as the best laptops, and the towers are priced better than a Dell for the same performance. Any of those business apps will run on a Mac with Windows installed. My MS Office files are completely interchangeable with Office at work.

Don't mean to be on a soapbox. Hate to say it, but the people I have the most "fun" with on this issue tend to be the accountants I know . . .:rotfl2:
(You know I love ya Nan!)

This made me laugh V . . . what did you end up getting?

Not trying to suck up to Lisa, but our entire office is HP - servers, desktops, and laptops. If I had to buy a Windows machine, I would buy HP. They run well, and are well put together.

Honestly Monica, for me, it was immediate. I know what you mean about the nose though. I go through phases of sensitivity. Sometimes it really bothers me, but most times not. Did you get a humidifier with it too? That seemed to help. A little trick with the hose that has seemed to help me . . . I always "hang" the hose from a bedpost or something above me on my side of the bed. That way it is coming down to me, instead of hanging over the side of the bed. This seems to make it more comfortable to move around.

Brings back memories Ken. I posted this a LONG time ago on our original thread. Worth a revisit though as it is very moving and inspirational.

I keep telling you to fly me down, and I will take of all of this for you! (I don't fix cars though . . .)

Goodanswers Captain Spanx. Good answers. You will need to stop by here on your way to V's. Even though it is out of the way. I need to create a Network here, but only have dial-up and Treo700p? How in the heck.......?

It honestly looks like Palos reservations were full from the CC members and no other times opened up. I guess there will be a line onboard!

& we'll all be on it.... :sad2:

What happen to the one you started last night, I liked it.

You mean the Dear Mr Iger... I am so Pissed??? Sleep toned it down a bit... but I can always edit....:lmao:

If you could let me know where to find his email address and any others. I would like to send a letter with my thoughts. While booking excursions last night was not a problem, we were done in a few minutes. But like you and others, we were not able to book anything at Palo's. I wanted to treat my wife to Palo's for our anniversary and were disappointed on not finding any reservations open. I do not look forward to standing in line the first day.

Thanks in advance for the info.
Joseph

PJ has the addresses on the site... I think the first page... PM her if you don't already have access...

Today I had the pleasure of dealing with Microsoft customer service on the phone. It is really too boring a story to tell (work issue with Micrsoft Outlook, upgrading from the trial to the real version that I had to get to sync my Blackberry) but boy, was I STEAMED!

They sent me to the Activation help guy, who was obviously not in the USA, and obviously reading from a decision tree script. Then he put me on hold to ask someone else, and came back with the same answer again, that I would have to take the product to my retailer (Best Buy) because they must have sold me an invalid license (right). I told him we obviously were not communicating, and he did not understand what I was trying to tell him (he kept parroting what he had said earlier). I then told him I guess I would just try to solve it on my own since he was no help at all. Which I then took my best guess - which worked.

I was also very frustrated with Microsoft's packaging at this point (I had to google how to open the package, and they actually have a page on their web site explaining how - how nuts is THAT?). And frustrated with their web site, that is so convoluted and poorly put together . . .

John, You'll be happy to know that my nephew sued them and won. woo hoo. They settled out of court.

Last in, first out. So, they use your OBC from them and your agent, then any OBCs you may have pre-bought, then your rewards card, then the OBC Aunt Matilda bought you as a present....IF Aunt Matilda's gift came AFTER your rewards card was submitted. If you don't use up all the money, in this example, Aunt Matilda would get $$ refunded to her.

,

HEY!! Why did Aunt Matilda not apply any to OUR room?? :rolleyes2 I suppose that proves she likes you better! :sad2:

Eeeeeeew! I could have gone all day without seeing that !:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Is that something new for Palo Brunch?

3 nights now w/ the cpap machine....boy does my nose hurt! Can't tell if I'm sleeping any better or not....I wake up everytime I turn over as I'm afraid that I'm going to get disconnected from the machine (I did that the first night - don't think I had the hose on tight enough). Must say that each night it gets better (which I expected) and I expect it to continue to get better. I know most of you said that you then dream...nothing for me yet on that--or atleast not that I remember. :confused3

How long did it take you guys to feel like it was doing something???

One more comment on the cpap..My RT told me to try to keep the tubing covered with the sheets-that it prevents condensation from collecting in the tubing. I started out resting my hand on the tubing beside me and it seems to keep it from pulling away from the machine or around my nose. Another problem that I had was putting lotion on my face too close to the time I was putting on my cpap. It would cause the nasal pillows to slide a bit. I find that my mouth actually gets less dry at night-I also wear a mouth splint for TMJ and I don't know but I think that having the air blowing into my nose keeps me from sleeping with my mouth open. I always use the humidifier.
FYI, I have used the cpap since Oct., and never had a time when I thought a-hah I feel so rested, and felt like I had so much more energy. But I did notice that I wasn't sleeping as much, and didn't feel the need for naps. I haven't worn the machine for the past week because I have had a stuffy nose, and sore throat- couldn't breathe against the machine. I have been waking up exhausted again and can't hardly stay awake. I am looking forward to being able to get back to the cpap....Vicki
I have always dreamed-no real change pre/post for me.

Here too V. I have been puny since Friday morning. AUGH ! I have to take PE because Sudafed is Prescription here in wonderful Oregon. I can't use my CPAP without it, but it raises my BP a bit. Another AUGH ! Now I am losing my voice. I am sure a lot of people will be happy about that.:rotfl2:

What did you say? :mic:

Ok so I went to the doctor for my headaches today and I have a nose spur!!:rotfl2: I am not kidding that is what its called. They think it may be causing the headaches. They gave me medacine, if it works they can surgically remove it. If not I have to go to a Nerologist. My mom went with me and laughed.

I had my nose operated on about 15-20 years ago... The ENT told me that I had a deviated septum and chiseled off a piece of bone. It's nice and straight now... and I can tell everyone I had a nose job even though it doesn't look any different... Also ask them for one of the nasal sprays... they really help alot.

Thanks to all the recommendations, I have bought my first pair of crocs. Here is what I got
PAAAIACEADKOBJFF.jpg

So far I like them.I've only been wearing them for a little while.

Another pair for me to try!!!

Tink Rules:

Great letter!! There is one day and time at Palos that is still open. Not the day you want though. We wanted brunch too. Can't wait to meet with you. We are you other table mates!:cool1:

It is still there. May 15th 9-11pm.

I can't get into anything for Palos...think it may be because you are CC members and I am not??

I'll take any day at this point!!!

The mask can be quite fun if you like to play fighter pilot. "Blue Leader, Blue Leader, this is Red Dog one, how do you copy?" Then you just make up stuff as you go, like "Bandits at 1 o'clock!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That is pretty nasty! You know my parents used to try to make me eat brains and eggs when I was a sweet innocent little child! :crazy2: :scared: I was not a defiant child, but I drew the line there!!

I'm a cc member and I have not seen any Palo reservations open at all - I check at least once a day!
