Hey post a pic of your "preview" of your dress. It won't help you tomorrow since I am posting so very late but I think these work great for making sure you do not slip and slide in the rain. All their products work great with high heels in my opinion.

A shoe assessory???? Who couldn't love that? John...where are you...talking about shoes again....:rotfl:

you know I won something on Ebay that I wasn't expecting...it is a pair of some name brand capris...they were asking an outrageous amount...for the heck of it, I gave best offer of 19.99 and they took it!

This Morning, I was laughing when I opened the birthday card from my brother, it said Sister, I've planned a fun-filled cruise in the Mediterranean for your birthday, when I opened it and it said Can you water my plants while I'm away? with a cat dressed up tropical!!

Look like my family know I love Disney Cruise, :rolleyes1

Anyway, today is my birthday, and I am going out with my 7 friends for lunch then go to bar for champagne.:thumbsup2 :dance3:

I will be out all day until tonight.:)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

so my sister dropped the bomb to my mom...her boyfriend bought a condo and she is moving in with him.
I seemto always be stuck in the middle...mom thinks I should convince her to stay home, sis thinks I should tell mom to lay off. My sister will be 23 next month and is not all that mature but goodness...my mom will just not let her go.
I know she and I are much different but I was 17 when I went to UF....lived in the dorm two semesters...moved in with a guy, moved to my own apt with two gal roomies, moved to another apt with three guy roomies....it is what it is. Let her make her own choices. IDK.

Did you tell Mom to let her make her own choices?

hang in there Holly.....you have a lot on your plate right now.
How is Tyler doing? Any more appts lately? How's he doing in school?

You know? Pulling yourself together sometimes just covers things over. Don't give yourself a hard time feeling that you are failing in some way here.

When I was suffering from depression some years ago our Pastor was amazing.
Marilyn, you're 100% right. I think this has been coming on for some time now, but I've been in denial and fighting to just cope and cover it all up. I do suspect depression but have been in denial.

Did you tell Mom to let her make her own choices?

yep.....she just can't seem to. I told her to tell her, do what makes you happy. The more you don't want her to do it, the more she will. Doesn't she get that after all these years?:confused3

I am so going to be well over packed.

I drug out one of my garment bags and found lime green bracelets.....foam bananas and lime green handkerchiefs!

On this subject, we have been very fortunate to have wonderful table mates and the surprise of "who are we going to get?" is as fun as the cruise. Our first cruise we were seated with a family that we have stayed in touch with for several years now and probably will know them forever. On our next cruise we were seated with another family that spoke little English, but we learned a lot about them and their country. The next 2 cruises we sat with Dissers that we became best friends with from dismeets and several after we were onboard (who are on this cruise too!) And on the last cruise many of us table hopped. It was so much fun learning what everyone did during their day and getting to know new people outside of our circle of friends.

Our first table mates told me that DCL does an expert job of matching people to "like" people (professionals, kids/no kids, ages etc.) I don't know if that is true or not, but we've been very lucky in this way.

So, for those of you who are unsure... throw it out there, meet new folks. That is the fun of the disboards. Everyone finds something they have in common with someone else somewhere onboard. The bigger the table the more options you have of rotating who you sit with. We had a table of 12 and each night we'd trade who we sat with and even traded other tables when someone was eating at Palo (remember the rotating dinner partners CruzdirectorKaren?) and we even had special treats sent to us from other tables (Seaulater!) Put it out there, try on someone new. :grouphug: My friend's family always eats alone because they are embarassed by their children, but come on it's family environment, maybe their kids could learn from other kids.

(of course, everyone understands the romantic cruises, the quiet cruises etc.)

You are exactly right! We have met the most incredible people (from the disboards!) and have become great friends. We now have friends all over the world!

On our last cruise for Thanksgiving, my DH had to back out about 2 weeks before so Jamie brought her best friend Mekenna along. They were both 15. They thought they would be bored to tears at dinner. Jamie had requested to sit with "Boys". Of course, I did absolutely nothing, but the first night we walked in the dining room, sure enough, DCL had put us with 3 other families that had two tables and there were four teenage boys (18, 16, 15, 13). Well, to say the least, the kids ended up being great friends on the cruise. A little uncomfortable for the girls (and boys too I'm sure) the first night, but by night two and three they were laughing and having a great time. I think it was probably one of the highlights of our cruise going to dinner each night and the servers were great with them. I think there were a bunch of teenage girls that week that were quite "jealous" that Jamie and Mekenna were eating with 4 teenage boys each night!

I fly in Wed. night (late) into West Palm Beach and then I think I'll drive up to Port St. Lucie or somewhere and stay there (which will be about 1 a.m. then FL time, but only 11 p.m. Salt Lake time) and then get up Thurs. morning and drive to Port Canaveral, return rental car and then get on the Wonder.

Then I get off the Wonder Sunday a.m., get rental car and drive to WDW staying there on Sunday night and then leaving 7 a.m. Monday morning.

My list of things for the Wonder so far:
1. CM's gift cards in California? (what things did they like last time in the Long Beach area)
2. Group photo (Monday-location)

What else did inquiring minds want to know?

Champagne Girls picture.....group is gathering.....not sure where yet......at 4pm on date of PC crossing. We need a group picture. Don't forget to ask about this too please. Thanks.

Holly....
Sorry you are going through a rough patch. I think it is going around right now. Our business saying is "Great in 08" but it certainly has been less than that to date. Not sure why, but for many that i know it has been more like "Stress in 08".:sad2: I know that doesn't sound as good so I am still certain that Great in 08 will happen, I'm just sitting here patiently waiting for it!!!!!

How is Tyler doing? Any more appts lately? How's he doing in school?
I just told my office manager yesterday about 6 appts for Tyler. 4 psychologist -- well, she actually only sees his dad & stepmom & me to tell us how to parent relative to his issues, one occupational therapist appt for the first session of his evaluatin for sensory integration disorder, and one pediatrician appt for follow up about the fluid in his ears to see whether she'll be sending us to the ENT for tubes. I think there are some others in there too.....the neurologist for another EEG early May to compare the seizure activity shown on the last EEG.

School: he actually had 3 good days last week. He might go weeks of having trouble every single day at school, but then suddenly have a good day or 2 thrown in. They now have an MSU student who is going through the special ed program working with him on certain behaviors. He has special one-on-one help during writing workshop every day, they find other options for him to do during gym class or other activities where they know he'll have meltdowns, and they have a special pillow thingy for him called a fidgit that's textured and squishy and he can fiddle with that during circle time in class and that helps him keep his hands off the other kids and keeps him more still. They're doing lots of extra things like that for him and they all seem to help. :thumbsup2

And to think his dad & stepmom want to pull him from that school and switch him to a different district. :sad2: I'll fight that one tooth and nail. Speaking of, that fight should be starting soon. Spring is when you apply for school of choice around here, so they've probably already filled out the application for the other school. They did this last year and I NEVER KNEW about it until I told him he was accepted to his current school and that's when his dad told me they'd applied at a different school for him, but since this one accepted him first he'd accept that. :sad2:

Added to list!

I'M SORRY V! I have to learn to give short answers. Diarrhea of the mouth strikes again! ;)

Thanks I still need more but it takes me so dang long to find ones I like. Or think I like til I try them on. :rotfl:
Love all the dresses!! Boy, I want to go shopping seeing everyone's nice stuff. How many dresses is everyone bringing?? Will anyone wear a dress every night except Pirate night??
Thanks for posting those links! I read through every post on every link and now the pieces have come together in my mind. She was 12 during most of that posting, just turned 13 on 2/14, has always loved Cinderella, so is fascinated with the Twice Charmed story. Wanted to collect 1000 photos to create a powerpoint slide show. I think she's just trying to piece it all together to tide her over until she (if she ever) gets to go on a cruise to see it herself. I've known 12/13 year olds who get focused on something and obssessed and irritating about it, so it makes sense to me. About her puberty questions, I'm thinking maybe she doesn't have much parental guidance? She mentions her grandma and aunt a lot, but only one reference to parents.
Makes a lot of sense...probably just that. Lisa
